Diggs43
Are you guys serious? What was the point of trading up for Rocky? We are fine at weak-side backer. If Rocky doesn't pan out, we know Lemar will hold it down. A big HELL-NO to this trade. He'll get his pay-day and we'll lose out on the opportunity to add some young talent with that #6 pick. TaylorPickSix
Briggs is nasty, but do we really need him? I mean come on, we have Fletcher, Washington, and Marshall/Rocky. I really question where this would leave Rocky, the linebacker we spent two second rounders on, if this trade went through. Maybe if the trade was the #6 for Briggs, #31, and next year's first rounder or something of that sort, but the way it is now makes me sick to my stomach. dreamshatterer
No, we traded up in last years draft for McIntosh. The boy can play. He proved that in the pre-season and the last couple of games last year that he can do the job. Know he can work all off-season with Greg and company to learn the system better. He will be next to Fletcher who knows it and can help the kid out. No to Briggs. Get a DE or Landry at #6 and lets move on.
Tastes Like Chicken
No no no no no no no...... Is Rocky that bad?! And Marshall? This reminds me of the Armstead & Trotter era.
jtyler42
If the trade looks like this I would consider it... Briggs and the Bears 31st(600pts), 63nd(276pts), and 95th(120pts) picks... for our 6th pick(1600pts) I'd do it...
Seabee1973
We need more for this trade to work, and do we have the cap space for such a trade anyway? of course we will sign him to a 10 year 20 million guarenteed 50 million dollar contract
AlmightySkins!
We have our LB's Rocky, Marcus and London - what's wrong with that? Keep the stud DE pick at #6 With our upgraded (hopefully) secondary and a little push up front we should be good to go! Remember too much change is not good! Keep as many parts the same as possible and build through the draft and tweak with FA.
illone
This would suggest the team has given up on Rocky, which can't be the case. Briggs is a decent player, but I don't think it's a fair trade. Unless of course the Bears sweeten the pot and throw in Anderson and a 2nd rounder.
Gilgamesh
This is a nightmare. I hope this is just a proposal from the Bears that Briggs' agent is using to try and drum up interest for his client. This would be an awful trade.

MRMADD
No way this happens. No way. I wouldn't get all worked up over it. It's just another one of those rumors floated by an agent to drive up a player's perceived value. Even Dan Snyder isn't this stupid.
RedskinzOwnU
This would be a really, really dumb trade.
Bangee7
I'd need more than this to pull the trigger. Boy I hope this isn't because they have doubts about Rocky. Even so, I agree that Lemar would be fine at WLB. Danny loves making deals....I just hope he can control his urges on this one.

chow184
if it was the bears entire 1st day AND Briggs then we'd have a deal because the bears 1st,2nd,and 3rd don't come clost to 1600 points
dreamshatterer
Just herd on NFL Network tht Briggs and the Bears are now "talking" about bringing Briggs back to Chicago. Hopefully that happens and we can squash this crap.
dfos81
If we do get Briggs, we also better draft a BIG NASTY NT and run a 34 D w/ Briggs, Marshall, Fletcher, and Washington all starting together. I know we don't wanna see Rocky sitting but it would make for a very formidable linebacker core. Briggs is still young so it makes since for our future, especially after Marcus Washington's injury, makes you wonder how Washington is recovering from it. No_Pressure
Briggs is good, but NOT worth moving down that far. He's franchised...no matter what we will be signing him to a big deal...have them give us their 2nd rounder or a starting guard and it's a deal... flexxskins
Terrible move, just terrible if we're really considering it. To drop 25 spots down, all for a WLB who, while talented, probably will end up in a similar situation as Trotter did when here. I just can't see the value in that.I'm not saying that I agree with the trade, but what situation with Trotter are you referring to?

LiveStrongSkins
The only trade I see us making is trading down a few spots and picking up a 2nd rounder. Okoye, Anthony Spencer. :applause:
