Westbrook36
Good news for the Eagles. Takes the teams potentially interested in Stallworth from 3 to 2 (NE and Tenn remaining).
BigRay
I have no idea why some people thought he could sign with Dallas. I knew he wasn't going to he wants to play for a team that really has a chance. But then again he picks Miami:doh: . But, I thought he would have gone with the Bengals. Mr. S
heh, the Dolphins just get another aging LB. I know we can't make fun, but youth movement does not seem to be a phrase on the Dolphins defense these days.
twenty-eight
Dolphins have one of the better defenses in the league. They still need to shore up their secondary and their o-line.

Never21Forgotten36
That contract is nowhere near what I thought he would get. I wonder if other teams offered him the moon but he just wanted to stay in the AFC?
OWUeagleMD
I guess I think a lot less of Joey Porter than do most people 'round these parts. I mean, he's very good, but I wouldn't be overly concerned if he landed in the East.

Fan since a Fetus
I heard 12 mil signing bonus with 20 mil guaranteed. I think he is overated and not worth the money. It seems like the players who run their mouths are viewed better than what their performance shows.
twenty-eight
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. In fact, he would fit right in with the Davis signing in Dallas - both are physically gifted yet extremely underachieving athletes. Porter is only slightly better than Stallworth (of course that means if he were on the Eagles he'd slaughter us every time we played them  ). Better than Stallworth? We're talking Joey not jerry:confused:...?
Skins4481
Thank god no dallas I didnt think there was much of a chance he'd go there to begin with. They have too much money/draft picks invested on their LB corps to add Porter to the mix. James was signed to a huge extension. Ayodele signed last year and Ware/Carpenter were their past two first round selections. Not to mention Ellis.
MisterPinstripe
Yeah. It would seem some other people were confused. Its Joey Porter not the receiver Jerry Porter...

rlhjr34
This is the one player I would have liked to see us pursue. He is a natural pass rusher then can light people up. The price tag would have been steep but I guess not compared to the rest of the signings like 50 Mil for Dock. In that respect he's a bargain at 20 Mil guaranteed. pjfootballer
Porter would be a bad 4-3 LB. He's played 3-4 and Miami is about ready to switch to that, but they have to convince Jason Taylor as he has been reluctant to switch to an OLB.
