David Canter told The Associated Press the Broncos informed him they were keeping Paul Ernster, who has kicked well in Sauerbrun's absence. stwasm
And that mountain air probably helped him with his kicks, thus skewing his punting stats.
jimster
he also doesn't shank every other punt.
jimster
And that mountain air probably helped him with his kicks, thus skewing his punting stats. Then why did he do so well in Carolina too? talk about skewing stats - Frost's best punts roll 15 yards.
method man
Hell yes, we should. This guy was a Pro Bowler in Carolina as well. He is a lot more consistent than Frost.
softballs
He served his time - I do remember hearing that he wasn't the best team mate in Carolina but he does have a strong leg. I don't think anyone has ever accused Frost of having a strong leg - I tend to hear "inconsistent" when he is being described. I would like to see the Skins take a flyer on him. At 2-3 they might actually have a shot at picking him up off of waivers.
chow184
not a good team player i'd be ok if we signed him though he's a top 5 punter, and no he was a great punter before playing in denver

Die Hard
Seriously? The Punter's the problem with this team?Really? Any time you can upgrade.... you do it. There are more problems than just a punter on this team... and right now, the kicker AND punting positions CAN be upgraded from the available free agents. Hail Gibbs
Couldn't hurt to bring him in for a tryout. See if he still has the leg strength minus the roids.

ZoEd
Steroids? Who said it was steroids? It says dietary supplement, probably ephedrine not roids.
swaroopm
I prefer that we keep and support Frost - I think he has been reasonably consistent this year and he's a young guy we can stick with. He seems to be getting better with time. We don't need to sign every older, steroid-using punter on the market. If Sauerbrun was so great, Denver would have kept him over Ernster. We've had enough trouble with Hall getting hurt; I bet if we sign Sauerbrun, his age and steroid use will lead to an injury after a short time. gridironmike
And that mountain air probably helped him with his kicks, thus skewing his punting stats. Obviously you've never see him punt. I'm sure the Denver air didn't hurt anything, but he has always boomed his punts.
