skins4eva
According to XXX ESPN, 20/20 update on the John Riggins show, Springs missed practice and went to see a specialist today. Guys--this is getting more and more ridiculous: how could the medical staff not known about the nature of this injury during the offseason? I'm beginning to think Springs is going to be out for a long time.
JesusTheismann
Just like I said, Springs is getting ready to retire. He is at the point in his life where his body can't heal fast enough to keep healthy on a consistent basis. If he is seeing specialists this late in the season, that's not a good sign. skinsaddict
maybe the specialist is there to clear him to play? I know, wishful thinking.

#1SkinsFan
Man, we need Springs to get cleared to play and get back on the field. Our secondary is weak w/o him and is struggling! He better be ready for the G-Men after he misses the Jags game. This is getting out of hand!

blitzpackage
I agree, this is getting a little too tough to endure. We NEED to get him back by at least like three weeks ago.
Jay Master Jay
We brought damage goods he stayed hurt when he played for the Seahawks. He will make or break are season. We should have payed Fred Smoot.

ramirez415
Damn, this Springs injury is real bad, I mean I know I complain about Brunell a lot, but I beleive that we can still win with brunell with a great running game and a selective passing game that hides his weaknesses, but Springs gone just shows our weakness in pass coverage, and generating a pass rush. the front four are not able to generate any kind of a pass rush , but with Springs in their Williams can play agressive and blitz more since he knows Springs can cover his man, and Rogers should be able to cover the #2 WR, but with him out you got Rogers on the #1 guy and Rumph and wright in their getting burned, this Springs injury really worries me. Hitnskins
i can't believe that you guys are already turning on Springs....unbelievable. You guys are just speculating on the severity of his injury, and all ready throwing him to the wolves....you should be ashamed of yourselves....and you wonder why the players don't have any loyalty to teams...*****, the fans don't even have loyalty to the players even when it's something like this......and the funny thing is, you/we don't even know what this injury is!!! I guess it's your right to hate on a player if you want to, but that doesn't necessarily make it right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
da#1skinsfan
Groin injuries are among the worst. Corner/Receiver with groin or hamstring issues? Lingering. Good luck. Sucks...
The Rook
If you think we should trade for a CB - who do you suggest and what should we offer? :whoknows: With or without Shawn, the season will go on. :point2sky :helmet:

Gilgamesh
we will go after nate clements in the 2007 offseason for sure I say we offer next years #1 pick for him now (sorry Denver). He'd be able to jump in and play right away.
praise_gibbs
Springs will get healthy and will contribute to this team. Injuries have setbacks that is the nature of the beast. It sucks when it happens but, the season must go on. I do not expect him to play this Sunday but, I wouldn't count him out against the Giants. diesel22
We brought damage goods he stayed hurt when he played for the Seahawks. He will make or break are season. We should have payed Fred Smoot. I swore to abstain from going "english professor" in here, and I will stick to that pledge. Having said that...........damn ! Didn't like the Springs deal from the onset. The guy had serious injury concerns in Seattle. He never proved himself able to play through even what many would consider minor injuries. This trend has only intensified as a Redskin. Now excuse me, but since I don't get payed to discuss these topics, I am off to do something more constructive. Maybe I'll do some more research on are opponent this week..... terpfan
If Springs misses half the season or more we have absolutely ZERO shot at the playoffs. We are in deep crap.
TaylorPickSix
We better go after a YOUNG FA corner this year or we are going to have to invest another first rounder in a corner this year. I would love to see us go after Clements and then draft o-line or qb with our first pick.
PCRoughrider
This surgery should clearly have been done back in the spring. It was a dereliction of duty for the front office to know he had this injury last season and do nothing about it during the offseason, assuming it would somehow be ok. LiveStrongSkins
Can't cry over it now. It's time for Rumph, Wright, and Rogers to step up to the plate. If we dont have Springs in there for a prolonged period of time we cant continue to soften our stance on defense. Come after people like always and hold these guys accountable. I'm really getting pissed at Carter and Daniels. If they would start joining the team we wouldnt have to worry about this so much.
