Gee, i guess i'll have to stick to my weekly poker game, betting on NFL games, betting on college football games, my NCAA BBall tourney pool, 3 $100 fantasy football leagues, the occasional trip to Vegas, the occasional trip to AC, and the Megamillions lottery. :(

Is anyone familiar with the casino regulation outside of Kansas City. You basically have to register as a customer(valid photo id), you are then given a casino "credit card" that you swipe prior to any game. Once you are at a certain level of loss(at the time I believe it was $300/day) then you are no longer allowed to play at that casino. Looking around at some of the customers they did not appear to have the means to support a $300 a day habit.

I would have no problem with someone signing a waiver saying they would NEVER ask for or accept public assistance and then gambling their money away.

this whole thing really has me angry since I play online poker quite a bit. Think about the guys that play online "full time" and that is their main/only source of income. Guess they will be looking in the classifieds if this bill passes in its current state.

THink about how many people gamble with credit cards and incur lots of debt then declare bankruptsy or lose everything their family owns. That's the other side of the coin.:2cents:

The gov't should NOT be in the business of saving people from their own "free will" of Gambling/Drinking/Skydiving/RockClimbing/Streetcrossing.....

You of all people should allow people to sink and then ask for help when they finally want it.... You can recommend, but to deny means they will just find another way, thay may be worse.

Exactly, it's not the governments business to decide whats good for people and what's not. If people can't stop themselves from going into bankruptcy than that's their own personal problem, not the governments. They shouldn't ruin it for the rest of the people who are able to control themselves.

When they declare bankruptcy, THEY DON'T PAY, I do, you do. Their actions don't simply stop at messing up their lives, they affect you and me. If they are gambling with cash, that is one thing, but credit is a different story.
