F Landry
It would make perfect sense. Brunell is washed up. Ramsey is a solid back-up. And Campbell needs a few more years to develop. Let's trade Lavar for Carson Palmer. Palmer is younger than Peyton Manning and is a better passer than Vick. He's the only player I can think of who is even in a class with LaVar, so it would be a perfect trade for both teams!!! OH MY GOD! I can't even express how ****ing dumb that comment sounded. ...you just make more work for the moderators... The cap hit we would take is amazing...

Gregpeck99
Barry ... they keep on coming ... this definitely is the longest running ... most entertaining thread ever. What's everybody gonna do when the deal goes down. Oh by the way, what are we to do about Carson's number. Has Sonny already given his consent. Let's trade Lavar for Carson Palmer. it would be a perfect trade for both teams!!!wow dude check your facts and football knowledge. here are my points:1) carson was not only signed until 2014 by the bengals, he also has the richest contract in NFL history, which would chatter our cap even with $13 million in cusion (which is NOT the case) 2) lavar is going to stay a redskin, no doubt in my mind, plus he is a better value to our team than palmer would be 3)campbell is ready to go in 2006, and with your trade plan he would not play until 2015 becuase of carsons contract, which he would never renegotiate after becomeing the richest player in NFL history it would not be a perfect trade for all these reasons, but the biggest one is commin up in number 4! 4) BOTH teams need to agree with the trade and there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that the bengals would ever agree to it

Slateman
Its great for the Skins, but I fail to see why the Bengals would do it. Carson was one of the Top 5 QBs last year. Why trade him for a LB?

Ellis
Carson Palmers career is over. That hit to the knee in the playoff's will haunt him forever. The Bengals just lost a LOT of money on that investment.

Jumbo
The fact that some(i.e. most) posters believe this is a genuine thread speaks volumes to the quality of posts started recently. i dunno, i know its too fun to not laugh with/at, and full credit to barry for the good gag, but the truth is we read enough "for real" whacked and stupid stuff on here that it's pretty excusable to get taken in by what just looks like another one a little extra-stupid...especially if you're newer, or never registered barry's posts in your memory... i know we all love that smarter-than-thou feeling of "gettin it" but outside of being fun, its hardly some revealing indicator of crap that ain't alreay well-established and that we're all guilty of at some point... ...that said...kepp 'em coming
supafly
This thread is obviously wack and deluded. Palmer is injured, it should be clear that he will be traded for Ben Roethlisberger now.

redskin0824
Do you really think Carson Palmer is gona be anything like he was after his Injury !.. Common, why would we invest in a player like Palmer after an Injury like he has had ?
Gregpeck99
Carson on one leg is better than Brunell period and fair valve for LaVar even up. Get it?

Skins11
You know, this joke thread actually makes some sense now. Palmer is coming off a devastating knee injury. So this trade is more feasible than it was when it was first suggested.

Time once again to break out this oldie but goodie: http://www.telegraphindia.com/1050524/asp/atleisure/story_4778654.asp Sarcasm pill for autism patients by ALEXANDRA FREAN London, May 23: Scientists in Israel have cracked the complicated cognitive code that determines whether individuals are able to understand sarcasm. Yes, right. . . . . “I’m not sure this study implies that people who don’t get sarcasm have brain damage,” she said, tactfully. “Maybe they just have problems understanding other people’s state of mind.” I took my medication today. Doodie987
yeah good idea, give up an amazing young, MVP, rising star pro bowl QB on a team which is based around...and just signed a 6 yr 98 million dollar contract...for LaVar which ppl say is losing his value (but us skins fans no how amazing he is) i think thats fair no?...stupid comment... Die Hard
I'm closing this because I don't want to see this on the front page EVER again. It's downright embarassing that people can't help themselves from keeping it on the front page... even though they know how ridiculous this trade scenario.
