    Anyone who doesn't do the following 1) ruin relationship with the games best left tackle and trade him for nothing 2) actually pick someone decent in the second round (no more Amerson/Cravens/Mathis/Ryan Andersons) 3) Don't piss away picks or past it or never were it qbs (3rds on Smith/Wentz) 4) have a balanced approach to building the team - not just all first rounders on one side of the all while neglecting the other

    He was certainly overdrafted. A top 15 picks yes, 2nd pick no. We wanted Garrett and got Clowney. Herbert and Tua were huge risks at the time though, and both would've been destroyed by this organization.

    Young feels similar to Clowney but without the elite run blocking. Too flashy, not healthy and reliable enough, takes too many plays off Will Compton had about 10% of Youngs athleticism yet he'd always be plodding after RB's til the sideline whereas Young gives up if he doesn't beat his blocker first time

    I would have kept Sweat and extended him and traded Young Maybe they traded Sweat as there never was a real offer for Young? Young is going to ask for TJ watt/Bosa money with nowhere near the production

    Watching the Lions currently blitz effectively why on earth does JDR use it so sparingly, it's infuriating

    Where is Jon Allen? Two years ago he was incredible and now you don't notice him much Payne was incredible last season and now much less disruptive is it scheme? Fitness? they didn't do much vs a garbage giants o line and little pressure today

    It made no difference to the result but there were a lot of uncalled holds on the D line today Watching today was an exercise in frustration the inability to adapt when Howell keeps getting pummelled is wild Russell Wilson had atrocious o lines for years in Seattle and would roll out so often and he'd less talented receivers and still got it done everyone knows JDR and Riverbed Ron are dinosaurs and EB hasn't learned to scheme without Kelce, Mahomes etc

    If only we had coaches like that in the building... plus Kevin O'Connell plus LaFleur and ended up with the lesser Gruden and Riverbed Ron but yeah we need a McDaniels/Shanahan type, or someone like DeMeco Ryan's who has turned the Texans around

    The D line in particular bar Young are so limp. Lethargic half assed effort. howell also needs to throw the ball away.

    agreed. Normally it's a stupid knee jerk reaction to demand a coaches head, but there is just zero point in continuing with him. he clearly cannot prepare the team for a game no matter how much rest/prep time he has

    We won today because their QB made a series of terrible decisions and passes, coupled with good DB play The team remains getting gashed for yards by every offense The final few offensive drives were so poor and uncreative, a decent offense would've had some rollouts and first downs when their D expecting you to pound it up the gut

    Yep, the only indispensable player this team has had for the past 15 years is Williams I wouldn't be hurt about losing anyone but keep one of Payne/Allen

    Rewatching the game here the D line particularly in the first half was so pathetic for far too many plays just bull rushes that petered out or Young and Sweat getting brushed past the QB and giving up Is that effort? Coaching? Scheme?

    No more whining about the o line its not great but it's a bunch of misfits but it's not costing us games Thr ridiculously bad defense with all it's loaded first rounders is forbes is pound for pound (lol) worse than Wylie the vaunted d line can't get home

    the offense has also been limited to coming from behind against the Bears and Broncos and Bills playbook is limited when you're digging yourself out of holes cause by Forbes 166lb frame getting manhandled every second play
