  1. He's dirt cheap and you aint getting nothing in a trade. He has a great attitude and work ethic, Its not like he's moping around or anything. We are gonna need like 3-4 QBs in camp anyway. At worst he's a study buddy for the new guy to bounce questions they don't wanna go to the coach with as they both learn a new playbook. Plus he has proven to be unreasonably Kryptonian level durable. I've seen heavy bags take less damage. That's nice to have, especially if the lead guy has injury concerns. He is not like Wentz where the contract is self defeating and he is not like TH where the ceiling is below the floor. Unless there is some fear that he is a threat to the new guy's job, I don't see much of a reason to give him the boot. We will have new brass, so its not like Sam will be their "guy". In fact the new guy will inherit that title. The only way I can see Sam as a potential issue is if you draft some 2nd or 3rd round QB and he has to directly compete for play time... and I don't think that is gonna happen.
  2. You should bet your mortgage next month.
  3. Is... is that good or bad? Somebody help me. It is the great conundrum of our times.
  4. As long as I can guarantee one of the top 3 QBs in this draft, and a top 3 pick does just that, I don't think trading for Fields is justifiable. He has not proven without a doubt to be the stuff, and there is more tape out there that says he isnt rather than is.
  5. I'm cool w/ everybody getting a trophy. But the kid in last is gonna know he was last.
  6. I see your of the "QBs must come from one mold" line of thinking
  7. I could see something similar to the 9ers game where we hang around for a bit. Eventually the bad decisions and play will rear its head and everything will snowball. Playing against an opponent who is actually motivated vs us being ready to get our vacations started will ensure there will not be a comeback. We don't have the juice to survive a momentum swing against us. I'm pretty sure the #2 pick will be decided by the close of the 4:30 games too. Minimal waiting around on that front.
  8. Yeesh, dude is more surgical mesh than man. Combine medicals are gonna be more thorough than anything he's been thru. Teams are going to will signs of lasting damage into existence. Dark spots on X-rays will be the bubonic plague. I'd wait until the NFL doctors tear thru his medicals before I reliably place an injury history that strong near the top of the draft. Feels like he has medical free-fall written all over him. Would not surprise me if a lot of teams have already taken him off their board entirely.
  9. Our run game had a good avg and we still throw 67.5% of the time... after benching/unbenching the QB... EB gonna EB.
  10. That is embarrassing... so many upgrades needed. On the bright side Harris can give other owners like Tepper tips on how to buy fans beer.
  11. Today was like a bracket buster. everybody's mock draft is in shambles lol
  12. Dem are correct words. We did far more to maximize the chances of failure rather than provide opportunity for success. And I was not a Howell supporter at the start of the year.
  13. Can someone update me on holmes? He did not look good leaving the field
  14. Oh man, jumping up to #2 was just what I needed in that ocean of 9ers fans. A bunch were watching the end of the Cards game on their phones in their seats hoping they could get the #1 seed and I was right there w/ 'em high five-ing for draft position.
  15. I was there. It was really lopsided. Not just lower bowl either. Attendance was actually pretty good, but it was due to a hurricane level assist from 9ers fans. Metric ton on em.
  16. Glad I got to see Gibby rip some runs live. Ball security is atrocious tho. Lol
  17. Gotta admit. Hearing the wolf howl over the p.a. was cool. Plus short yard carries!
