  1. I received a warning message for too many connections I just assumed we overloaded the site when Episode 3 dropped lol
  2. I think between TE and WR we keep an "extra guy" so we could go with 4 TE. I think Danny Johnson will be the one left out and we have someone else returning kicks this year. That will open up a CB slot
  3. They gotta get to the prac squad thru waivers first, and the protection is not all incompassing either "Teams can designate four players every week that are protected from being signed by other teams. This protection starts on Tuesday each week, so every practice squad player is still available to be signed to the regular roster of another team after their team's game that week until the deadline on Tuesday."
  4. We waived Caleb Wilson August 3rd of last year. Interesting to bring him back now. I don't have happy feelings around Hemingway right now
  5. Also protects Gibson by taking bullets for him, and plays on S. Teams to boot. Somebody has to take those lumps
  6. I have not seen many modern RBs with his weight of 195 do that and survive. It is not realistic to expect him to go week in and week out and get a Gibson amount of carries and come out OK. The ones that try predictably break down, see one Austin Ekeler Small backs can't take that level of punishment. The ceiling for season carries for backs this small is right around the McK/Ekeler range, a far cry from Gibson level carries. I don't care who it is, asking a 195 lb back to bellcow in the modern NFL is asking him to prematurely sign up for the injury list. Unless he puts on some weight, Patterson is no more of an option for extended carries over a period of time outside of an injury emergency than Mck is.
  7. Interesting to see how they handle Kyle n Taylor in game 2 Maybe Allen gets to run the 2nd unit this week
  8. I think he gets in there and contributes later in the year after attrition sets in on a longer season. Even has a chance to be McK's natural replacement next season. I just don't see a significant amount of available scat rushing reps for a guy behind Gibby, Mck, Samuel and Terry with some combination of Sims/Sims Jr/Wright/Dax (depending on who makes the roster) who have all taken handoffs in some capacity and can fulfill Patterson's role. Unless he proves he can give something on teams, even if he makes the roster it would be a struggle to even have a player like Patterson active on gameday. Hard to make an early impact if your not on the field is all. I like Patterson, I just don't see a wide open pathway for the guy provided good team health atm. If McK gets hobbled, he is right there. Without movement however he is absolutely buried under the depth chart for rushing opportunities as it expands well beyond the RB sphere. He is not seeing volume touches over Gibby McK or Samuel for scat reps. He is not getting a share of Gibby's, Barber's n Thomas's power run sets either. How is he supposed to make an impact facing that.
  9. Williams looked good, I'm betting that is why Miller is gonzo. They were both larger backs (Williams 217 n Miller 220) and were probably in direct competition with each other to be the deep depth in case of injury to Gibby or Barber. I can see Williams making the PS with the covid rules extension. I don't see us carrying 4 RBs so I still think Patterson goes to the PS as well. Don't think anyone would poach him and he is a safe bet to clear waivers. That would give us two RBs on the PS, One scat back and one w/ more of a bellcow build, which would be great in the face of an elongated season. Sad to see Harmon go. hopefully he gets a shot somewhere else.
  10. I wonder if its harder to build muscle memory if you have more... well... muscle Spoken from non-experience
  11. Yup Roster pay is much higher than PS pay so a guy would be more than happy to come back, but if he is picked up off waivers there is nothing you can do.
  12. Pretty sure he has to make the initial roster before you can play the stash n pull off IR move. I think if you put him on IR before that he is out for the year, so he only opens up a spot after the fact. Still gotta cut a guy and then resign him.
  13. Low blow. You know we have a genetically engineered superhuman padding the TE position. That is a completely unfair take that I totally agree with
  14. Last year we had pre-breakout Logan Thomas who led the group w/ 35 career Recs, Marcus Baugh (0) and Jeremy Sprinkle (33) on the day 1 roster. Rookie or not, I don't think they are shy about running TEs with very little experience.
  15. I went into this expecting Sammy to be a PS member, but... Reyes played multiple spots on S. Teams in the 2nd half He is at least a willing blocker with room to develop He didn't trip over himself in his 1st football game ever. If Hemi continues to struggle as a blocker, and S-J only gives you a reliable pass catcher and nothing else (Teams or Blocking), then I am cool straight up giving the TE3 roster spot to Sammy rather than PS.
  16. That was a reeeeeal classy move from Jason Tried to be as friendly as possible, but put a firm line in the sand. Continues to treat us like we are adults.
  17. I thought he was in NE for another stadium tour and went "Oh, what are the chances of bumping into you guys here?!"
  18. We all seem to subscribe to the idea that he will reign it in b/c of the better support system around him... but what if the inverse is true. My walking nightmare is what if, since he has a squad that can reliably cover a mistake here or there, he chooses to go F-it, and make every pass a minimum of 30 yds. He would be the new poster boy of the fan club: J/K
  19. I'm more focused on the score If he puts that up week in and week out, he will render all stud detectors in the tri-state area useless regardless of his ranking against his peers. He does not get style points, but he got the job done
  20. Need to see more from my 3rd rotation edge guys before I stop scanning wavier wires for one on cut day. Need a guy who can provide pressure, didn't see too much of that from my edge depth last night.
  21. Montez basically stopped trying to do too much and took what the D gave him at the end of the game. Drove all the way down the field throwing short routes and checkdowns, high percentage stuff. Eventually here and there he would have wide open targets for nice gainers as a result. Made a nice play for the TD and a good throw on the 2pt conversion, but it was him calming himself down and making the easy plays that led to his success.
  22. No injures Starters looked fine Liked what I saw from Dax, Bates n Sammy for the young guys. I'm happy
