  1. I think that it is doubtful that Stromberg would have made it to us in the 4th, now that I've noticed that Scruggs went in the 2nd round.
  2. Good moves for the Eagles, but not necessarily for other teams. With the Eagles roster, those two 7th rounders would probably struggle to make the team, as would a sixth rounder. A six rounder this year is pretty much considered equal in value to a 5th rounder next year, but for the Eagles, chances are the 5th rounder next year has a better chance to mean something to them. Yes, I don't doubt that Herbig will stick in the league, I'm just not sure that he will be the star-quality player that he was at Wisconsin.
  3. I know that Herbig was your guy at 118, but I'm not as sold as you are on his being able to come close to his college production on Sundays. Great college player, but I'm not sure if his size/speed combination will play as well in the NFL. Good guy to have on the roster, IMO, but I think Daniels may prove to be the better NFL player. Henry may just prove to be as good for us as Herbig would have been.
  4. ?? Jones was taken before our 1st round pick and was obviously unavailable in the middle rounds.

  6. Pace had 84 tackles, 30 assists, and 64 stops. As a pass rusher, he tallied 53 total pressures, which included 24 QB hurries, 18 QB hits, and an excellent 11 sacks on the season.
  7. Yeah, I wonder if there is some off-the-field issue. It just seems odd that he's still undrafted.
  8. Looks like a good back, but a confusing pick to me. Doesn't really seem to fit either BPA or need, does it?

  10. 16. Emmanuel Forbes CB Mississippi State 47. Jartavius Martin CB Illinois 97. Ricky Stromberg OC Arkansas 118. Israel Abanikanda RB Pittsburgh 150. Owen Pappoe LB Auburn 193. Will Mallory TE Miami (FL) 215. Nick Herbig EDGE Wisconsin 233. Ryan Hayes OT Michigan
  11. Thanks. I appreciate you guys that dig deeply. I'm pretty much at the mercy of the highlight videos we see. This guy looks great in the highlights, but then I guess all of them look great in their highlights.
  12. If a true MLB is a thing for the Commanders, Sewell would be a great pick here, IMO.
  13. It seems to me that the Commanders' philosophy is to identify players they really want and draft them before it is likely that other teams might take them. That's why it looks like they are a round early on every single guy. I guess they end up with the guys they want, but I personally think they waste a lot of value. I think setting tiers and drafting within those tiers is far more likely to net you a better overall draft. It just feels like we ended up with good players, but passed on the first round.
  14. Again, I was responding to your comment. I'm not advocating drafting Oluwatimi now that we have already drafted Stromberg. I'd have probably preferred Oluwatimi at 97, but I'm not upset with Stromberg.
  15. I was responding to the post that Stro was the only center not to give up a sack.
  16. Michigan's Oluwatimi. Outland Trophy and Rimington Trophy winner. Local guy - went to DeMatha.
  17. Unfortunately, I doubt if Zavala lasts until 118. Seems to me like we probably had a better shot at getting both of them if we took Zavala at 97.
  18. I was thinking about him with 97. Why now? Mauch, Schmitz, Washington, Torrence all there for the taking. Not happy. I like Martin, don't get me wrong, but at 47?????
  19. Mauch, Washington, or Schmitz, please. Or Torrence. Happy with any of the four.
  20. Hopefully, they will find themselves lined up with their feet in the end-zone often this year. 🙂
