  1. It is pretty clear that you are very high on Lance. I think that Lance is about the least likely QB to end up with WFT. Nobody seriously thinks that he is ready to be a starting NFL QB in 2021, and RR has made it pretty clear that he is focusing on improving the QB position now, while we have the window to compete. Giving up major assets for a project like Lance just doesn't jibe with RR's stated goals, no matter how high his upside may appear to be. Sorry, but I'm just not seeing Lance as being in the cards for us.
  2. I read somewhere that Detroit only has 5 picks in the upcoming draft. My guess is that this year's picks are of particular interest to them.
  3. I'm not sure that would be considered upping the ante. A high third this year may actually have greater value than a 2nd in 2022.
  4. I disagree. The chart he posted clearly shows that Brady and Ben have come back successfully to win in the 4th quarter at a considerably higher rate than Stafford, as I suspected, and Brees came in at 2 % less than Stafford. I had forgotten the bad teams Brees played for early in his career. You asked why Brady, Brees, and Ben were the top 3 in number of 4th quarte comebacks. My answer was based on common sense and logic, and the chart bore it out. It seemed obvious to me that number of opportunities should be relevant to the statistic you were referring to, and of course, it is. You are free to continue to believe otherwise if you wish, but you might want to avoid that chart as supposedly being supportive of your claim. It isn't. As I said, I'm not knocking Stafford at all, in fact I'm in the camp that hopes we get him. I was just saying that a ranking of number of games that a QB has led a 4th quarter comeback is incomplete without any reference to the number of opportunities the various QBs have had in which to accomplish the feat. That is of course both correct and obvious. Why you chose to respond in such a snide manner is a question only you can answer.
  5. Because they've been playing for a hundred years and they complete successful comebacks a high percentage of the times that they face the situation? My guess is that Stafford has been trailing in the fourth quarter far more than these three, even though he is considerably younger. No knock on Stafford, but he's clearly been on consistently worse teams than the other three.
  6. I don't agree with this logic. Sure, you identify candidates that you think will be good fits. Then you do your due diligence and identify and interview additional potential candidates. If the interviews and the vetting process confirm your initial thoughts - that is not a bad thing. To pretend that hiring the initial strong candidates that you identified is a sham is just a false narrative without basis.
  7. If true, it seems to me that Stafford would be very interested in WFT. If WFT could add a QB like Stafford, what team that would be considered in the hunt for a QB would be better positioned than WFT to be in the playoffs. Given the teams that we need to beat out to win the division, seems like a real good bet to me that, with a solid QB, we'd be pretty strong favorites. Stafford knows that getting into the tournament is the most important step.
  8. You must be getting very delayed broadcasts. 😀
  9. No matter what, NFL and media will be hyping Dal and NYG next preseason as the super bowl contenders in the NFC East. As usual. 😀
  10. No, just simply doubted your statement. Now that I see you didn't mean what you said, I understand. I wasn't quibbling at all, merely asking.
  11. Yeah, when the play happened, it looked to me like Cam slowed down a little for a step or two right around the WFT 40 or 45 yard line, then picked it back up and jumped for the catch, only to drop it. Looked like a perfect pass that may have possibly been a touchdown if Cam had just kept running full out and caught it in stride. Perhaps could have been a game-changer.
  12. Ummm. I was strictly commenting on the purpose of the stat. Your argument is with the other poster.
  13. Well, in fairness, my understanding of QBR is that it is the stat that has the purpose of measuring the QBs overall game performance, taking everything into account.
  14. No justification for loss of draft picks. None. Has nothing whatsoever to do with competition on the field.
  15. Yet they called us on a bogus "holding" to negate a first down. By negate I mean steal. It just would have been nice to be given an even chance in the game.
