And the WFT plays in Maryland. The chart is obviously inconsistent. Would have been better to leave NY off and list NJ instead. Those 2 teams had an atrocious winning percentage.

New York only has one team, not three.

I made some posts regarding Jones a month or so ago, basically saying that I think that the guy showed a lot and really impressed me. It surprises me that there are people who are so adamantly opposed to the guy - some even seem to be making it personal like the guy kicked their dog or something. Doesn't make sense to me. I understand that mobility is his biggest question mark, but I think that it has been overblown quite a bit. The guy moves well in the pocket, doesn't panic, goes through his progressions well, and makes good and quick decisions, from what I've seen. Pulling the ball down and running is never his first or second choice, and I'm not sure that I agree with those that believe that it should be. Some folks view it as a negative that he played on a good team. Huh? Others have somehow tried to say that he didn't play against any good teams. Huh? But I have to say that most of the posts against him have somehow been trying to argue that the fantastic season he put up was somehow smoke and mirrors. Until now, I've not seen anyone try to argue that it was his stats that were indicative of Just a Guy. Rarely do I see a statement that is so completely contrary to my view of reality. You are saying that your negative view of Jones is based on statistics and game logs, whereas I see that Jones put up one of the best statistical seasons in the history of college football, with zero bad or even mediocre games, while playing against the strongest schedule in college football. We really have no common ground to even begin a discussion, so we will simply remain in disagreement.

RR would never do this, IMO. He wants to win now, while the window is still open on our defense. Trading away such strong draft assets for a project that is at least a year away, and probably 2 years, if he pans out at all, would be counterproductive to that goal. If Lance fell to 19, I could see possibly taking him, especially if someone like Fitzpatrick is signed on a short term contract. But spending so much to trade up for a guy that won't help in 2021? I don't think so. I'm not sure that WFT is even interested in Lance. These trades would get the Exec of the Year award for the Atlanta GM, though.

Thank you for your work on this. It seems to me, though, that we would need to know if any of these guys turned down offers of more money to opt to sign with these teams. If they did, it would help prove your point, if they didn't, well, the indication to me would be that they simply chose the best offers, financially.

I disagree that LAR bid more than WFT did for Stafford. Our third rounder this year is better than the Rams' third rounder. Our first rounder this year is a lot more than the Rams 1st rounder next year. And the 2023 LAR first rounder was really payment for DET taking on Goff's albatross of a contract. Now, Carolina's reported offer was better than ours, IMO, and Denver's as well, from what I've read, but the Rams' offer that DET accepted just wasn't, IMO.

Eleven strikes and a gutter ball? -
Eye of the beholder, I guess. Some might say Smith was bailing out Jones, as you say here, but others may instead see that Jones threw the pass accurately to where only Smith could catch it and the downside was an incompletion, rather than an interception. Throwing it to where the defender cannot make a play on the ball is not a bad thing. Knowing the abilities of his receivers is an important skill for a QB, IMO.
