  1. So WHY did Gruden bet his job on this guy???? THEN didn't change him mid season when CLEARLY he was in over his head?? WTF?? You had Ryan sitting there and he didn't take the life line. THAT IS DEMONSTRATIVELY STUPID. How that crew was chosen to lead the skins is beyond me
  2. If EVERYONE knows what you are doing and you don't adjust..how the hell do you expect a QB to produce..... Jay is the reason the O didn't go...NOT DH He's also the reason Smith got hurt..freeking sending the blocking back out against that D front..GOD I am glad he's gone...
  3. Hopefully that translates into more speed and nimbleness. Frequent criticisms of him last year. 15 pounds is ALLOT. That alone should make a big difference .
  4. So Thaddeus runs a 4.67 and NE's Gronk ran a 4.68 and people are saying he's too slow???? Seems a big body at the LOS that can block & catch in the 5-8 yard window fits our scheme (running/short yardage/High % throws) exactly. No drops and he only had 1 season of play time...that's big for me and it didn't cost a thing...
  5. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001112170/article/chiefs-cb-bashaud-breeland-arrested-on-multiple-charges Looks like we made the right move..
  6. So...... Trent's ego has been blown up He now realizes he has to play to get to that big contract next year The Team has sent a clear message to malcontents Haskins will have a pro bowler protecting his blind side and if the locker room can tolerate A Brown...they will tolerate TW if he does his job RR has established who is in charge The BEST Trade Market still lies ahead during the season back filling injuries (IF RR chooses to trade) Whats the problem you say?????? At the beginning of this thread THIS was the preferred outcome (mi
  7. If you think about it 1) Trent is a Top Talent 2) His last contract $$ is affordable 3) If you get the 8 mil in fines the #2 becomes obscene 4) He will be motivated by greed in 2021 5) We NEED a GOOD/Great LT to evaluate Haskins 6) Trent in OUR offense will make our run game click If I were to gamble..I'd gamble on Trent producing better for us in terms of results and $$ than ANY value NOW for all other options
  8. A motivated TW playing in 2020 for a large 2021 contract is the best solution to all this. IF/When TW plays for the skins..there is NO WAY he would tank on the last year of his contract. Get real...Trent will play and play hard FOR THE SKINS if we don't trade him. And I would NOT trade him for less than a 2nd until the last day of the trade deadline. Thats the way I would play it. It teaches players the skins roll over days are gone and we get the best tackle in the league playing hard for us in 2020 If RR starts winning..then who knows what will happen. Dumping TW just
  9. Hey Trent...better get that Skins helmet to fit if you want to get paid in 2020
  10. For Trent. We have lots of time to trade him into the season deadline.
  11. Or gets Haskins to put in the effort by showing him what a professional does. I am sure that will impact Haskins
  12. Because Rivera didn't kiss his ass and he knows he'll be held accountable (like all the other malcontents). That and the whole team will be laughing at him for how bad HE screwed up. EVERYONE WAS sympathetic at first and he managed to turn that 180 degrees to full on hate.
  13. Poetic Justice if nobody wants Trent. RR should stand put. He has all the cards
  14. I've been a proponent of a throttling defense vs dynamic offense on this board. Referenced the Ravens as a blueprint many times. Dynamic Offense requires lots of timing and read defense capability. A GREAT Defense can game plan/disguise just like the Rams got burnt by Pats. The Great defense also gives you short fields for your O to play on. This defense *should do all that* and SHOULD HAVE been close to that last year but for Manusky's BS. I hope this D and the O based on running/outs with the backs we have will put us close to contender this year. If Haskins is even average..we s
  15. Fun memory..I was 19 working as night manager at the Ollies Trollies by National Airport in '73 and George Allen came in for a Ollie burger after a late flight. Of course I didn't charge him and had a GREAT conversation. THAT cemented my love of the Over the Hill Gang and the Redskins.
  16. Doesn't make sense. The Jets are jettisoning "older" talent for picks to build a young talented football team. Why would they throw picks at another aging talent. If they are going young and building thru the draft, noway they are interested in TW. TW is only valuable(2nd/3rd) to a contender in need of a LT. You can't think long term with TW because he'll be back ****ing about his contract in 2 years after the market out grows his ...and we have seen how he deals with that issue
  17. I bet it's pretty deflating to TW that teams prefer a Drafted Rookie (even a high #) to his services....Especially with what the other FA's have gotten in 2019/2020. I hope RR keeps TW upto the trade deadline if he can't secure a #2...If no takers in the last week...look for a #3. It doesn't cost a thing if TW is on the DNR list...if he does show/play..so much the better for Haskins. Reskins don't owe TW any favors.
  18. Just like last year when contenders were rebuffed by Allen..TW's value was strongest when teams were still in contention for a playoff spot. This year there are MORE playoff spots to be had so the "contender" market will be LARGER in 2020. The FO would be foolish to take a 3rd NOW vs waiting into the season. Yea..the pick for 2020 is NOW and waiting is less valuable so a 2nd 2021 = 3rd 2020....and If you have a QB like Brady (or even Cousins) in jeopardy of being crushed..they will up the anti. ESPECIALLY Cousins who is expected to deliver or Zimmer is gone..I could see Zimmer go f
  19. Nope..not until trade deadline when contenders will come calling. Just hang in there..no rush cause a bad deal is not a winner.
  20. i think Ron will/should take Young if for no other reason than to keep the Giants from getting him. Yea, Detroit is right after us but that is no barrier if Detroit has another NEED it can fill and get other picks from the Giants. You DON'T want Young going after Haskins 2X every season
  21. Way back early last year I floated the Vikes as THE PRIME target for TW IF..IF..KC would restructure his contract. Well KC did get a more cap friendly contract extension so TW *should* be in play. HOWEVER, me being a staunch ANTI KC I say no way in hell just outa spite. I hope Dan feels the same way. Screw tweedle Dee and Tweedle DUMB. They feed off one another.
  22. Trent will be more valuable "In Season" than now/pre/post draft. He can play his way into a trade GOOD for US. There is no hurry. Probably a 2021 pick is all being offered anyway in the 1 or 2 position. In fact, I HOPE the FO puts this off until the trade deadline..getting productivity from TW helping Haskens grow and maximizes his trade value with other teams injuries. That does have a risk if TW gets hurt but if he feigns injury..it will cost him millions in future contract- don't think he's THAT stupid... Let him play..including preseason games to show case him...
  23. I think what Trent did in 2019 has labeled him a coach killer and malcontent with NO integrity. He'll fain injury, leak and hold out services for his perceived grievances. I posted last year when this all started that his "approach" would come back to bite him. Just look at A. Brown. Trent put HIMSELF into that category. Karma is a **** ain't it.
