Ron failed by doing nothing. He let JDR and EB run the show. I don't know what he did on Sundays. As far as him being fired..in season..if he didn't jettison JDR he would have. Somebody has to answer for the last 2 weeks. EB is only a year in with what he inherited (bad assets). JDR was given EVERYTHING. For 4 years he got premium draft selections (I gotta believe he chose the players)..then he failed me manage and mature them (Young, Forbes, Davis..etc) I can't think of a worse performance....yes..he had decent late season defenses in years past (still under performed with these assets/mismatched players). Ron is/was way too late to get into JDR's business which is why he's a bad HC and won't be back in ANY capacity. He sat on his ass and watched as the team deteriorate and ONLY acted out of self preservation... OK..let him leave with dignity..that is ALL he's due. He should NOT be hanging around this club come January.

Washington vs. Cowboys Week 12 Prediction Thread

For the first time in 53 years...I DON'T CARE! My addiction is broken! Going fishing and have some turkey in the afternoon. -
That's what gets me...what changed scheme wise from last year? Players are the same. We jettisoned Jackson= Addition by Subtraction. So Forbes wasn't coached up? I read somewhere from a player that there is ALLOT of freelancing looking for turnovers..if that is true..that's 100% on coaching prioritizing the WRONG thing. I think it's too late to recover...I honestly think Young was a liability and Sweat is/was replaced effectively with backups....we "could" get a clue and play some defense.

They HAVE to do something with Mayo..he is terrible in space. He's ok close to the line filling gaps but can't cover AT ALL! He's 5 yards off consistently and trailing. I don't know who is the "backup" or who can be brought up from the practice squad but you can't leave him out there like they have. The Hawks picked on him all day long and he was constantly burned.... Is there another option here??? -

If Harris was watching at all, he saw the contrast between and good and bad coach. Carroll was walking the sideline/chewing like a madman/ and TALKING to his players. His aggression clearly transmitted to the field. You could see his players talking trash/getting into faces. Then look at Rivera...standing like a statue/no emotion/disconnected from his players and disengaged from the field(game management)...No aggression whatsoever. Rivera is placid and his team mimics that. He is NOT Tom Landry...no even close. -

Mayo again out of position...we HAVE to have a better LB than him -

Turner was predictable..EB uses motion allot better and gets mismatches. I just remember Turner running into the teeth of the D and NOT using screens and edge plays (I remember screaming at the TV on several occasions). I enjoyed the play selection the last 2 weeks. Turner would have never schemed that up -
I think JDR is/was arrogant on 3rd downs. Opposing offenses knew he would only rush the 4 (or maybe 5) and had protections to counter exposing our weak LB's coverage skills for easy 3rd down conversions OR they baited Chase's aggression and got the check down/RB to the outside...then the D just wore down over the game with these long drives. That AND by overemphasizing turnovers during training camp they got the DB's jumping routes making them susceptible for double moves and big plays. Poor coaching...BUT with Sweat and Young gone..maybe the execution of the game plan will be more disciplined.

I'd be interested in hearing that argument. Can ANYONE give one positive relating to his "football" (Not Culture) acumen? From bad asst coach selection, bad drafting, bad game planning (or lack thereof) and COMPLETE LACK OF OWNERSHIP of team's performance issues. Joe Gibbs he is not.... How can he escape his totally dysfunctional team? He's delusional to say the least
