  1. Am I crazy for wanting either Kyle Hamilton or Derek Stingley Jr over a QB? If both those guys are gone, by all means take a QB but if one of them is available, we should take a hard look
  2. If it’s possible, but QBs get overvalued and drafted higher then they should. I’d be worried some won’t make it to the end of the 1st round. Could be risky waiting for the 2nd to see if one of them fall
  3. My personal list would be : 1. Corral 2. Willis 3. Pickett 4. Howell In that order. We could have a chance that any one of them will be there at our pick. All of them are better options than what we have currently on our roster.
  4. I’d argue Batman Returns is a Christmas movie and a damn good one
  5. Anything over 40 yds is sus for Hopkins. He should be on the chopping block. GG everyone
  6. I agree that throwing distance is a tad over-examined, and I would love nothing more than Heinicke to dissect intermediate areas all the way to the Super Bowl. But the fact of the matter is, the stronger the arm, the more area of the field you can attack a defense. Not just vertically, but also fitting the ball into tight windows or with the velocity to hit deep-outs on the sideline before a defender can close.
  7. I just watched Heinicke's career highlights on YouTube. I don't think I saw a single attempt over 40 yds. Either he takes what the defense gives him, or he just doesn't have confidence in his arm to make those throws. My money is on the latter, but maybe we can see if he takes some shots tonight.
  8. Fair, but aside from Colt and Haskins for obvious reasons, Mariota and Trubisky could be considered reasonable competition for Heinicke
  9. Correct, but they have shown enough in their careers to warrant a starting position again, and are not a complete bust by 1st round standards. Again, I point to Goff border lining the "not good" territory of a 1st round QB and possibly the only one I'd take Heinicke over.
  10. Out of the 7 that are not 1st rounders, Brady and Wilson are exceptions that are future Hall of Famers. Dak is above average, Carr and Cousins are about average, and the jury is still out on Hurts. We are the only team starting an UFA at QB. Go through that list and try to pick one QB you would take Heineke over. Maybe the only one is Goff, and possibly Daniel Jones. I love Heinicke's story as much as anyone, and he is the best option we got right now. But as of today, we have a bottom 3 starting QB in the NFL at best.
  11. Heinicke should be the starter for the rest of the season, but as others have said, he just doesn't have the arm talent to be a long-term option for this franchise. Just look at the difference in passes between Herbert and Heinicke yesterday. Herbert was making deep sideline throws, back-shoulder throws on a dime, and threading the ball in tight spaces. Taylor just won't ever have that talent. Not to mention he is already 28 years old. There's this misconception that he is a "young" QB and can develop, but he's been in this league almost 7 years already. He is already at his ceiling. And his arm strength is only gonna get worse, a lot sooner than later.
  12. It hard for me to get excited about QB prospects now, because we inevitably take the wrong one seemingly every time. Ramsey, Campbell, RG3, Haskins… am I missing someone?
  13. No one is saying he’s bad, but there is no substitute for an elite QB.
  14. Damn maybe we shoulda drafted Herbert and not Chase. Hindsight is 20/20.
  15. Honestly, this is a great and entertaining first game of the season
  16. As someone who lives in Centreville, an excellent spot would be somewhere in Centreville
