  1. Just say no to BB!! Start fresh all the way around! There is a lot of data that BB is only as good as Tom Brady made him, Record with Tom Brady - 219 - 64 Record without Brady - 80 - 93 Yes, his Ds helped those early SBs. But it was clear that while both had input, Tom Brady was more important to thier success than BB was. Also, I really am just more intereested in seeing someone fresh and with something to prove. Not to mention someone that's not in their 70s!
  2. Just went to Titans message baord and they are not surprised but think he can have success elsewhere. Glad to know we are not the only ones with some delusional fans (not saying everyone, if this does nto fit you then ignore), but more than a few were "surprised" "dissapointed" they did not get trade value from Vrabel. Just not sure how many people trade for a coach with a losing record the last 2 seasons - LOL
  3. I believe this is more a courtisy. Harris seems very aware of appearances and wants to do things the right way. So why not interview EB. May at least get some additional insight to last years disaster. I do not think it satisfies the Rooney rule. But they can do that easily, which is a shame because the Rooney rule is doing nothing to achieve it's goals but tht is a different conversation. I like the process so far. He was of course ready and he has a plan and vision in place. Ancious to see how it goes ubt really happy we have something new to look forward to. Maybe some actual hope.
  4. If Josh Harris selects Bill B and he comes here I will be more than a little dissappointed. No more retreads! Even BB! Let's start this thing right. Get a fresh and hungry GM who selects his own fresh and hungry HC! Take our chances. If it doesn't work try it again. Totally done with the retreads.
  5. The minute Ron is fired for me will truly mark the beginning of the new era. It will mean ridding us of the last of dannys stench. I was given this shirt for Xmas and plan to put it on as soon as I hear the announcment. Bring on the future!!!
  6. Rd 2 with no trades - Bears take MHJ this time:
  7. I would have to track it down but those are picks 96 and 98.
  8. And we could be the ones trading with them to get the QB we really want instead of taking the QB they don;t want of the top 2. So yes, it is very good news for us if they plan not to take QB at #1. Others will try to trade but they only have to trade one position with Wash so they are gauranteed whatever player they want that's not a QB - see MHJ and pick up some more draft capitol. It's not likely to cost us too much for one spot.
  9. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Hope everyone has a safe and happy time.
  10. Because Ridder is that bad. I live in Atl and I hear it daily. And see it.
  11. I do not agree with that. There are players that will have great seasons with a new coaching staff who has legitimate NFL game plans and know how to cocah guys up. It will be a year before they really know about some positions except of course Oline, TE and LB.
  12. I completely forgot the game was on. Just turned it on. I wish I had not remembered. End of season cannot get here fast enough.
  13. I see the Joe Barry mention but to be fair his Ds have been 10th, 12th, and 17th in pts the last 3 yrs at GB and 9th, 17th and 23rd in yds. Not great but better than the 32nd in Detroit and 28th in Wash. It's the Dan Snyder effect. Just liek Rivera and every other coach he brought in - they all seem to do thier worst job here.
  14. No to Tomlin. He is a good coach but I want someone hungry to prove themselves. No to EB. Not because he yells but because he cannot adjust his offense to fit the players he has. There were kore WR open in Scott Turners offense and that’s saying something. And that constant run up the middle on 2nd down is tiresome. Few deep balls are more on the line. No time to develop. If EB were really that good he would be getting more out of what he has. Let the new GM pick his coach
  15. Love traveling through Logan. I always go to Legal Seafood and get NE Syle Clam CHowder to go. They keep the clams seperate so I can heat and mix when I get home. Been doing that for years! πŸ™‚ We used to have that passion. A win and the entire city was alive. A loss and you could feel it walking down the street! ****ing dan snyder!
  16. Good guess but no. It is Troy Aikman. People can say what they want but he is HOF QB. And he started like crap cause he had a ****ty team around him. This is Peyton:
  17. I like that analogy, but not for the reason you provided it. While Rolls Royce is prettier and shinier and much more expensive, Toyota's are more reliable, esepecially when you consider cost. If we can get WIlliams or Maye wihout mortgaging our future AND - huge AND here - they they fit into the GM and HCs vision. But if Sam fits thier need and using the draft pick on something else makes more sense than do it, especially if you can trade back and load up on more high quality picks. I also disagree with your analysis of Sam Howell. Until he is given a NFL Level Oline and a playcaller with some ingenuity we will not know what Sam's ceiiling is. Quick quiz: Whose stat line is this from their first year as a starter:
  18. I would also expect them to move Sam if they decide to go QB. Keeping him in house creates an instant QB controversy and it's unneeded drama. I really like Sam and think he can develop vbut if they go another way I will not be mad at it. Just do what you are gonig to do with conviction and a plan to support it. For this is a real positive for Sam. All QBs can produce when given a nice clean pocket. The true difference making is what happens when it breaks down. Sam is very at creating while running for his life. He has spent the better part of 2 of the last 3 seasons doing so gonig all the way back to his last season at NC. His decision making while under duress has mostly been pretty good. Yea, he has some real blunders. But that's expected. At least he is not shy and shakes off bad plays. Still, if they draft his replacement I will understand. It will be an intersted decision. Will define them (GM/HC) right from the start.
  19. Agreed. I get the dump the entire thing because we are pissed and mad at the world so it all must go to wash the stench of Dan and Co. But there is some really good talent here you can start to build around. Not nearly enough to win on a reglar basis but you can't just get rid of people for the sake of getting rid of people. We have no further than to look at our own team when Riggins wanted nothing to do with this team and retired. Gibbs knowing he needed to get something out of him convinced of a vision and brought him back - with the plan to trade him after a year BTW. But we all know how it turned out. And NO I am not saying any of the players on this team are Jogn Riggins level. What I am saying is you need to get the GM in, let them hire thier HC. Then they will develop the model of the type of team they want including skill set and mindset. Then you evaluate each player on the team to see if they fit your future. if so, do what you have to to make them happy, even if they only serve a short purpose. Then you staret filling in the gaps with a priority of how you want to build the team. But this idea of he grumbled some so move his ass - directly talking about Allen right now but suspect as the losses build up we will be hearing it about other players - is not how you build a team, even one as ****ty as ours right now. I believe there will be surprises from both ends - surprised on some of the players they keep and surprised on some of the players they move. In the end, I just want to see there is a strategy. That they have a vision and are bulding to that vision.
