  1. I have a bad feeling about this, but I can’t tell if it’s for any rational reason, or if it’s just a reflex from the past 20 years.
  2. How did they not call that a catch to begin with?
  3. Ok let’s be real. This is honestly easier than any of us thought it would be.
  4. Looks like a totally different team this week
  5. Any time Gibson carries it in the red zone I get scared
  6. Might as well go for double digit sacks at this point I guess
  7. Just run the ball and score field goals if you can’t score a TD.
  8. Every Sunday. Surprised I’m not dead yet tbh.
  9. I’ll take it. Heck being treated like a normal football team with a competent organization will be such an upgrade it will FEEL like we’re favored even if we aren’t.
  10. If we went with uniforms and a logo like this I would actually cry tears of happiness. I know I know, we need to leave the past behind… but when I compare this to the current Commanders uniforms and logo I can’t help wanting something better.
  11. Yeah “Commanders” is so bad it forces you to care even if you didn’t care before.
  12. Oh yeah, it will probably take at least a full decade of consistent success just to lay a solid foundation to build off of. We’re talking probably another 20 to 30 years to get it back to where it once was.
  13. This is not true at all. The past 30 years have significantly dampened passion for the team, but it’s still surprisingly resilient despite Snyder doing everything he can to destroy it. The last decade especially has taken its toll, but if you went to a game as recently as 2012 the stadium was rocking. 3/4 of VA’s “blasphemous” population is not Cowboys fans, and I see less of them every year. I think the Cowboys’ mediocrity is taking a toll on their national fan base as well. As far as the market goes, northern VA has a large population with some of the richest and most powerful counties in the nation. Add Maryland’s population to the north and a good team that’s fun to root for has a great opportunity to make a lot of money here.
  14. Yeah well, we struggle with the grass-ish stuff too. Chances are the footballs are half flat like the ones we used to play with in the backyard as kids.
  15. That really makes sense when you think about it. Consistency is necessary for a team in any profession to be successful, and good people aren’t going to stick around long if they aren’t treated well. The Washington Redskins/Commanders under Dan are sadly a great example of what happens to an organization with low empathy.
  16. Don’t be too afraid of that. If Snyder refuses to sell and moving the Commanders to London is the only other way to get rid of him, I’d welcome it. It would beat living in mediocrity for the next 30 to 40 years. In the long run DC is an attractive market, so we would get a relocation or expansion team, and we would probably see success sooner than if he stayed.
  17. If we shore up our offensive line I think we’ll make progress over this year. Good pass blocking can make a mediocre/decent QB look great if he has some weapons (which like you pointed out we do). Dak Prescott’s first few years starting where he built his reputation is a good example of this.
  18. I think that was the idea behind the Woodbridge location. No metro access there is a deal breaker for me though, public transportation is necessary for a stadium. If there was a way to fit it in with Nats Park and Audi field that would be great.
