Israel can mobilize 500,000 troops, they’re not going to be deterred by a few thousand Chinese peace keepers. On the other side Hamas is a terrorist organization, a few thousand peacekeepers are going to be too thin to stop an unconventional attack. Hamas will just kill civilians where the peacekeepers aren’t stationed.

Yeah China has a large military, but it’s built for a defensive war. They don’t have the logistics backbone of the US military to, like you said, project significant power outside of their region.

Credibility notwithstanding, the US is probably the only country right now who could effectively do the enforcing part. Edit: So unfortunately there is little chance of an outside power stepping in to police any of this.

Yeah that makes sense. Rockets are slowest at launch and accelerate though flight, they have an engine and are by definition not ballistic at that point. Ballistics (guns, artillery, etc.) are fastest at launch and decelerate through flight. So if a rocket engine fails close to launch it will probably not have enough inertia to maintain a ballistic path.

Yeah I guess it’s all about the clicks and views. If everyone wants to be the first to break the story truth be damned, then the “breaking news” has the same credibility as the average Twitter/X user. That’s sad.

I don’t understand why news outlets rushed to broadcast announcements from The Gaza Health Ministry without fact checking. The Health Ministry is run by Hamas, and any of their claims should be verified since they are without a doubt trying to shape the narrative of the war in their favor.

As we get deeper in the season it’s becoming clear he’s a playmaker and it’s a both a blessing and a curse. I love how eager he is to keep the play alive, but he has to learn when to cut his losses.
