  1. At least we can put a lid on the whole Heinicke insanity for a little while. That game completely exposed his inexperience and underdeveloped decision making ability. I'm not saying he can't learn from that game and get better, God I hope he does.. At the same time he exhibited some grit and resolve so he has that going for him...which is nice. If there is a bright spot in all of this it is that if they can stay mediocre through the first half of the season and hover around 500 they have an opportunity to be playing their best ball when they line up against their NFCE foes and then who knows what can happen. I have to think that this defense will get better going forward. JDL and RR are NOT the same men that made up the clown show that has been Washington Football over the past two decades. These men are professional hardasses right ?
  2. We absolutely should do that very thing...AFTER we ride the A- Train for 3 or 4 years
  3. I wouldn't pretend to know if there's wisdom in that approach but one thing is for sure, with practices being turned into limited hitting pillow fights these youngins are going to get tough real quick or get benched, cut or kicked down to the PS.
  4. I'm just happy that none of the beat guys had a clue as to who RR and Co. were keeping/cutting, really not a clue. I must admit that the Moreland release was a head scratcher especially when they kept Apke. I guess the dude is 100% effort and pretty coachable or he's got pics of dan and some livestock because it has not shown up on gameday yet
  5. You forgot... name change shenanigans, FO sex scandal, Haskins petulance and the most awful of all tasks...babysitting the owner. That alone earns him coach of the year consideration
  6. No Picksmagic ! The guy is fun to watch when he is on the other sideline but please for the love of God keep that dude far away from here. This team is finally starting to trend in the right direction, and I would have said the same thing if they only won 5 games and missed the paloffs, but that guy seems like the exact opposite of what RR is looking for under center.
  7. Then they hit the NFL and more than half of them become rich entitled little punks. At least Rosen has some experience at it. Dont really think he can play though.
  8. I know I am in the minority here but i am hoping Alex comes back for another trip around the sun. I know he wasn't great but with another off season of grinding he can still help us win some games. Whether as a starter or backup. You know hes going to be ready and he still has something to prove. I think it was the Detroit game or maybe New York he was slinging it all over the place and making CSims look like Randy Moss. At the very least he will be a steady hand in the locker room and a good mentor to TH and maybe a 3rd rnd rookie. I had heard Allen was giong to likely be on the PUP at thr start of the year so we could stash him there until TH or AS get banged up.
  9. Nah man this is the Texans, they make Cerattolike deals all the time. Apke, a 4th and a conditional 5th
  10. Keeping KOC around in any capacity would be viewed by others as a sound move to continue the young man's development at the QB position. At this point from what we have been told RR is in charge so I am willing to give him the benefit of doubt when it comes to the staff he assembles. If he keeps KOC in the fold it dosen't signify all this meddling owner rg3 big baby conspiracy BS. If he let's him go ...same thing. Did I miss something? Has Haskins demanded that KOC be retained ? If so that's a bit over the top for the performance he has displayed up to this point. I did see him tweet support for KOC a couple of days ago, but that hardly sounds like a demand.
  11. I was at the game and I don't remember seeing Quick get on the field. Can anyone confirm, was he out there at all. He wasn't listed as inactive.
  12. Its like when a girl who is a 6 or 7 goes out with her ugly friends. After a couple of beers she is a 9 or 10 by comparison. Doctson, by virtue of finding the only pair of wideouts in FA that may be worse than he is, becomes the 10. That is how we roll. sad
  13. Yeah such a great environment for him to come to with all the veteran leadership in the WR group. We missed out for sure dude would have got arrested before making his first trip to Ashburn.
  14. So did I miss something, didn't we sign Quick back to the roster ? was he on the field yesterday ? I saw that Jehu character out there for a couple of plays but I must have missed Quick. Can we bring Simmie Cobbs up from the PS ?
  15. I'm pretty excited about this bunch of guys too. Granted there is no true #1 guy but there is potential in Doctson, Harris and Sims to take that role. There is also a willingness under center to not only push the young guys but school them up a bit too. Time will tell but I feel pretty good with an accomplished veteran in Smith running Jays offense with all of the young guys at wideout.
  16. Just a thought on Sims making the 53. The fact that he was held out of the game against Denver with what I believe was a bruised leg might signal that they are planning on keeping him on the 53 man roster. He suffered that injury late in the Jets game, yet still went back in on the final drive to make a critical catch to set up the game winning field goal. Viewed in that light maybe he has shown enough and playing hurt would prolong his injury and ultimately availability for the regular season. Sims looks like a special talent that we can cultivate. I really don't remember the last time we had a WR that I was this excited about. Rod Gardner or The Comb come to mind, but we know how that played out.
  17. Well said brother, that's 4 more in 221 dropping out too. I will still watch .....on my phone, in a golf cart enjoying myself. Congrats on the total failure....You suck at life.
  18. I really think the marketing whiz kids over in Ashburn missed the bus on this one. They should have went all black with burgandy numbers and lettering I think players and fans alike would dig that and they would probably sell a boatload of jerseys. Not that black is an official color or anything, but our official logo has about as much black as the Shehawks logo has that stupid lime green color. It's also a nice middle finger to Goodell..
  19. The Washington Porcelains Just venting....seemed like the right place for this.
  20. Low grade toilet paper I wouldn't use the WP to line a gerbil cage or potty train a puppy. Oh how the mighty have fallen. A new low even for the WP. It's sort of like the team they just kicked in the "gonads" ( that really makes me chuckle) I bet they had a focus group of hacks sitting around for days thinking this crap up. The whole thing is pathetic. I don't know if it is the best business plan to alienate a large portion of your consumers with an ever dwindling circulation.
