  1. I don't know when or if I'll ever have these again. I've been thinking about getting RoversPlayer, which would allow me to watch recordings of the games. Probably the best I'll get, but I don't have the extra money to spend on that right now.
  2. It will come down to depth/injuries. If they have key players go down that will be tested. I haven't watched them at all this year so I don't know who that would be outside of their top scorers. Though if they have injuries there then they'll want Tom Lawrence back from Blackburn and that would suck for us.
  3. You'd think that Leicester and Chlesea should be reversed in pretty much every way. You'd think... Glad to see a club like that doing well. Blackburn now undefeated in eight games, slowly climbing the ladder.
  4. Newport fans are pleased with the draw from what I've read. See us as beatable which I think is fair. They beat Wolves to get to us, and our cup runs have been pretty poor the last few years. Granted, that was with Bowyer. I'm confident in the draw myself. There's no real reason Rovers should lose to Newport, but it is the cup. Monk is out at Swansea. So let's see what they do, if they give Rodgers another go.
  5. Martin is weighted down with the responsibility in keeping us all in line now. So my bad in slacking. I'm, so far, pleased with Lambert. Team is undefeated in 3 (2 wins, 1 draw). Been a pretty easy schedule so far and looks to continue throughout this month. Looking better organized and a bit better work rate. Lots of positivity around the team; not like I've seen since Mark Hughes was in charge. Brighton Hove and Albion are undefeated so far in the league and look like they'll make the top two. Bolton look like they're the new Portsmouth. Preston North End's promotion has renewed a lot of old local rivalries in the Lancashire area. Reading sacked Steve Clarke, Gary Bowyer on the shortlist. Good luck if you get it, Gary.
  6. I can only assume that their owner plays FIFA (or Football Manager for the more cultured of us out there), where it's reasonably expected in your 5th year to be winning the Champions League.
  7. Hey, I knew he was at QPR. But that doesn't change the fact that QPR could can him at any minute, lol. Silly that Monk is being thought to lose his job. You're still Swansea, Swansea.
  8. Different owners I think. It's a bit muddled with what's been going on there.
  9. QPR feels like a place where managers go to die right now. They need to rebuild from that mercenary culture that's been going on the last few years, so maybe Rodgers could change that. But Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank is now in charge and I would be surprised if they didn't give him a shot.
  10. I'm pleased with the appointment. He was the number one rumor as soon as Bowyer was gone but I don't really trust anything until it's done. Can't half understand what he says, though.
  11. Paul Lambert just confirmed as Rovers new manager.
  12. Rovers sacked Bowyer and his staff. Kind of surprised, I didn't think the owners were going to do anything unless we were relegated. But it has been a disappointing start to the season. I will always be thankful as he was a great servant to the club and his saving the club from a free fall. http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/blackburn-rovers-2795565.aspxf
  13. Martin Mayhew and Tom Lewand just fired in Detroit. Don't know how Caldwell is still hanging on.
  14. Ha. Never been, but I hope to one day. Well, at least to get to Ewood!
  15. Rovers are 140 years old today. On November 5th 1875, at a meeting at the St. Leger Hotel on King William Street in Blackburn, the Blackburn Rovers club was formed.
  16. If Jay wins 6-8 games I think he should be off the hot seat completely, unless he loses the locker room somehow.
  17. Ya, never mind. I'll take that 'W', thanks. Can't believe how quickly that got put away.
  18. My Leeds friends... Our away form has been terrible this year, I've noticed that your home form is not exactly stellar, either. Scoreless draw and call it a day at the pub?
  19. I do actually like Chris Paul. I think he's really funny. I can't listen to Reid, though.
  20. That's how my oldest son (3) counts down to something he's excited for. You Liverpudlians are cute when you're excited.
  21. I will say this, though. Big Sam is the perfect man for a relegation scrap. Once he gets you out of one and your team is stabilized, though, it's time to move on. He's good at scrapping and gutting out, but not much else. I'm also looking forward to seeing what Klopp does. I find it very interesting when a new manager takes over, especially mid season like this and how he'll adjust with players inherited.
  22. Yeah, I saw that you guys have only really had one caretaker manager in your history which is also impressive.
  23. Amazing that there have only been that many managers in all those years. Testament to how good that club has been. Blackburn have had 5 managers since Venky's have taken over...
