  1. I'm amazed at reactions like those (not yours, the others). I think yours is the proper perspective. Rovers fans would do something similar, but meanwhile we lose Grant Hanley, our captain (player of the year last year), to Newcastle and the fans are like 'meh, he wasn't that good anyway.'
  2. Only thing that I think Big Sam might bring to the England squad is some grit and determination. But that might also depend on how he chooses his team. It'll be ugly. And if results don't follow (and even if they do) he'll be quickly maligned.
  3. Experienced Championship player. Surprised he'd go down a level. Must think that that the future is brighter for Newcastle than Bournemouth, which I guess is fair enough? Newcastle also picked up Dwight Gayle from Palace, which is also another interesting one for similar reasons. But Palace seem to be doing some decent business so far with Townsend and Mandanda.
  4. Outside the Lines is generally pretty good (or used to be, I haven't seen it in years). He's got a love for soccer, too, so they usually give him the gig, which I think shows.
  5. USA: 31 in FIFA standings, number 1 in our hearts.
  6. Maybe we should start all 3 keepers.
  7. I guess there's always a chance the US could be Argentina, but I don't think it's a good chance. Like Homer vs. Drederick Tatum, if you will.
  8. Ha. I like Ochoa a lot, too, despite the team he's on.
  9. So Ferrell's an Evertonian wearing a Chelsea shirt? Some sort of publicity thingy I guess.
  10. BBC Live Coverage: "I wonder what has happened to Roy Hodgson in recent weeks? He really went for broke at half-time there and threw forwards on all game. He's turned into Kevin Keegan."
  11. Could put Cameron on the right, but I don't know if you want to mess with that CB partnership.
  12. Article I read just mentioned Paris. FrFan can probably give the correct details better than I.
  13. Read that authorities are banning outdoor viewing parties outside of pubs.
  14. Would if I could. Great result. In the driver seat now.
  15. Only available to view on FS1 or UniMas...I can't even watch it on Univision. Good gracious it's hard to follow the national team at times. Just following along on a live ticker...
  16. I'm barely one footed... That thing about Brazilian keepers you keep saying pretty much applies to me, too.
  17. Wow, that is hardcore. I really wouldn't want to stop a shot without gloves now. I've done it before and regretted it. lol
  18. Sweet merciful God. How could you...
  19. Too much white. You youngsters with your fashionable ways. All blacks or barefoot!
  20. I guess you take work when and where you can, but in the end no one is going to like him around there. I'll give him a shot, but my immediate reaction was pretty much disgusted from his prior affiliations and I'm not even a local. His track record hasn't really been the best either of late. Eh.
  21. Well, Owen Coyle is the new Blackburn manager. I guess I'll just go into a corner and cry now.
  22. Na, that's fake. Drinkwater said he was disappointed but would still be cheering for the team.
  23. Sorry for the slow reply, I generally don't get on during the weekend. For some reason the Scot coach doesn't like Rhodes. I heard tell the reason might be that he's in the Scottish team by way of his father since he was born in England. I'm not sure, though. Rhodes is a poacher, he's not the best off the ball and doesn't provide a lot outside of scoring (I hate saying that, because that's what he's supposed to do, but it was a complaint a fair few Rovers fans had of him). Watt looked decent at times, poor at others. The whole squad looked dreadful at times, too, he was no different. He only got one goal in 9 appearances, and I'm pretty sure that came in his first game. I don't think he deserves a place on the Scot team over Rhodes.
