  1. Hamid is usually one of my early targets in a FIFA career.
  2. Ditto for me as well (well not all DC teams, depends on the sport). But I just haven't been able to get into MLS as a whole.
  3. I sort of had a soft spot for City (and Chelsea) before they got mega money. Sort of saw them the way I saw Everton and Fulham (and I guess Blackburn to an extent). But anytime there's big money in a team and consistent high finishes and major tournament play there will be a fan base. How loyal that fan base is, that's another question.
  4. Like a unicorn siting. Man City too, I'd think.
  5. I'd be content if we were just middle of the pack, to be honest, even in the Championship.
  6. Ya, I hear Blackburn is ever so nice to visit... Just thought I'd jump in to say I'm not gone, but nothing really to report outside of 6 games in, no wins and 3 points. That's good relegation form.
  7. Ditto. I don't watch ESPN so I wasn't aware that Bram wasn't with them anymore.
  8. I dunno, but Pollin is usually the fill in for either Paul or Reid when one isn't in. I haven't listened to much of anything in about a month outside of the night time Sportscenter or the Drive, both about twice.
  9. Well, Rovers beat them 2-0 and then Stanley promptly beat Burnley 4-2. I know it's just preseason, but that's funny.
  10. People just kept saying Bastia and the assumption was Ligue 1. But yeah, I don't expect you to know every player in every league so no surprise
  11. Rovers signed their first of the season on a free named Sacha Petshi, a defensive mid, formerly of Bastia. You seen him play FrFan? His outting against Accrington Stanley was impressive (I know I know, tis Stanley). Bowyer's done well in finding diamonds in the rough so I'm hopeful. Edit: Ok, he played for CA Bastia and not SC Bastia. So my attempts at insider knowledge here has dwindled...
  12. I haven't really watched soccer all that long, but I remember City (and Chelsea) being middle of the pack clubs. I mean back around when I started they (City) were in the old 2nd Division and a little before that down in the 3rd. Nothing wrong with that per se, but it annoys me to see these clubs/fans that ignore their history.
  13. I guess Villa will be continuing their faith in youth program. And Brad Guzan will have to be Howard vs Belgium every game now.
  14. Airing family dirty laundry on the internets? This isn't facebook you know.
  15. Nothing makes me rage quite like Mario Kart.
  16. I didn't understand a word you just said.
  17. US Soccer has been live-streaming games on youtube and leaving them up if you're interested in watching it.
  18. Admittadly I haven't seen Gestede play a whole lot with my own eyes, but as far as I know he's not a dirty player. I know you have to support your team and all, but your impression of Gestede is based off of one game. He was chippy against you guys, and that was a bad foul. Sorry Skrtl got hurt in that, but things happen sometimes sadly. Gestede should've been booked there. Gestede has about 10 yellow cards in his entire career (and 0 red), so I guess he does have the Fellaini luck if he's that foul happy. If he transfers to a Premiership club then maybe I'll get to see him play more and then if he truly is as dirty as you claim then I'll reascend my defense of him. I'm generally decent with understanding through accents...but...what the heck is she saying?
  19. Rumors of Tom Cairney and Rudy Gestede leaving for Fulham and Watford/Palace, respectively. Josh King already left for Bournemouth and Chris Taylor talking to Rotherham. No signings yet due to FFP restrictions. Lots of Rovers fans beside themselves right now. If they sell enough for $15-20 million estimated the curse will be lifted apparently. Tough year ahead for Bowyer and the lads, I think.
  20. So maybe Bobby Wood will show up in a Wondo jersey, it'll just be misspelled really badly. They still can't get Wondolowski right on a jersey?
  21. Agree on Wondo. I'm not familiar with William Yarbrough, really, outside of seeing his name a few times. What's he like in comparison to Hamid and Johnson and their development?
  22. I've heard a broadcaster say on a couple of occasions that Wes Hoolahan of Norwich has been dubbed the Irish Messi, or 'Wessi.' Thought Hoolahan was Welsh, but I was mistaken.
  23. Norwich going back to the Premiership via the playoffs.
