    The Schrutes can't be beet!

Welcome to the NFL Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio State

Yes, of course. I was speaking more to the irrationality of making definitive statements about who should start week 1 without having seeing any training camp nor preseason. Again, I get it. I’m just bustin’ chops, more than anything. But you certainly won’t see me making any proclamations about week 1 starters in the next couple of weeks! I can totally see talking about who you want to win the job and why, but to say XX should definitely start week 1 over YY based on the evidence that we have thus far seems premature, at best.

I know it’s the off-season and a message board, but could we try to refrain from making decisions about who we think should start week 1 until training camp has started and, ideally, a couple of preseason games have happened?

Would you want HBO Hard Knocks to feature us this year?

Well, looking at the Twitter feed of the guy who 'broke' the RUMOR, I wouldn't feel comfortable yet in saying that the Lions are the definitive pick. I'll still wait and hope (and probably eventually be disappointed again, as per the usual as a Skins fan).

How do you mean PR-wise? HBO isn't going to send out a product that trashes the organization they cover - that'll ensure that they never get to do Hard Knocks again. It's not like teams that are on Hard Knocks get put through the ringer by the media/fans. If anything, I'd say that it draws in potential new fans.

Why do you think it's such a bad idea? A distraction? Most cameras aren't "in your face" types around the facilities - the players will hardly notice a difference in their daily activities. These are professional athletes playing at the highest level. If they can't handle minimal intrusion into their preseason routine for a few weeks, then they suck as a professional. As a fan, who wouldn't love a peek inside the franchise?! Enjoy the show!

Reuben Foster carted off on 2nd snap of OTA's

    That's exactly it.

Welcome to the Redskins Ross Pierscbacher C Alabama

Considering our O-line injuries the past couple of years, this is in no way a big stretch of the imagination.

Well Mahomes had a year on the bench but the point still stands. Well said.

    Why do you say this?

Giants are out. That leaves us, Raiders, & Lions... I hope we get picked. I love Hard Knocks and it would be awesome to get that inside look at the team!

Official 2018 Redskins Training Camp/Preseason Thread

I don't remember where I heard/read it, but I think it was reported that McGee MAY miss the BEGINNING of the season, but not the entire season.
  13. How do you define accuracy? If we are talking completion percentages, who has the highest of all time? Drew Brees, right? 66.9%. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_cmp_perc_career.htm The last two years, Alex Smith has 67.1% and 67.5%. http://www.nfl.com/player/alexsmith/2506340/careerstats Your links are a few years outdated. You could make the argument that he hasn’t been as accurate in years past, but there hasn’t been many more accurate than him in the last couple of years (only Brees and Keenum - by .01 - last year). https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2017/passing.htm He is still the 21st most accurate passer of all time (see first link). And his game is still improving, as he has said himself. I think his best years are ahead of him and I looking forward to the journey. HTTR!
  14. Intriguing stat. I wonder - how many rushing touchdowns did the Chiefs have in the red zone vs. us over that same time frame? I honestly don't know, but I think it may also be a relevant stat.

    Random "Thot" Thread (Stadium Edition)

With all of the injuries last year, does anyone know if we brought back the same strength and conditioning team or anyone new? It seems that a lot of teams are very much into some of the holistic health approach (yoga, dietitians, etc.) these days. Do the Skins have anything like that on their staff?
