  1. 35% of people in this country will absolutely not allow themselves to admit that they’ve been conned and Trump is what most of us in here know he is. That line he had about shooting someone on 5th Avenue and not losing any supporters was the most accurate thing the guy has ever said.
  2. The extremely cozy relationship Trump/Kushner have with the Saudis is extremely interesting/concerning to me at the moment.
  3. Check out the HBO one from last year if you haven’t. It was also very good and went into more detail about some of the incidents involved.
  4. Big time college sports sucks now. Congrats to the the alums at a few of the big name schools but my interest is rapidly declining. Once they ruin March Madness I’ll probably be out completely.
  5. Hard to even say it rests in the hands of the people at this point. Between gerrymandering and the relative ease a POTUS gained power despite receiving 3 million+ less votes than his opponent is making the entire thing look like a facade at this point. The Supreme Court fast tracking us towards whatever the hell this country is becoming is just the latest reason for me to doubt the system can even be fixed at this point.
  6. The stupid part about that is you know the future administration(s) won’t give a damn about precedent and will do the same thing anyway. The usual suspects on my social media feeds are salivating about the thought of going after Democrats after the midterms.
  7. JDR talking about “double standards” is hilarious. The real double standard is if the “other side” had stormed the Capitol, these idiots would have all supported the Capitol Police unloading their entire arsenal on the rioters and supported public executions of any politicians believed to have supported such a thing. It’s infuriating seeing half or more of the American people see that event as a “dust up” or less.
  8. I actually agree with this sentiment. However, the disturbing part to me is that, anecdotally at least, the first "fringe" you mention is whole lot larger than the second.
  9. One of the few famous people that have died where the news felt like a gut punch. What a tremendous talent. RIP to one of the best to ever do it.
  10. I know I've beaten it to death but EB has no credibility. He's been doing nothing but denying Covid and slinging conspiracy theories for the past year. Maybe it will be proven to be correct down the road but I don't believe a word that guy says until verified by others. I'm also not sure why JP Finlay thinks it's okay to call himself a reporter but doesn't understand why people get pissed when he doesn't vet something he tweets or retweets.
  11. I lost my mother to cancer a year ago and I wouldn't wish that on anyone and certainly wouldn't celebrate someone having it. With that said, it doesn't mean I give a single **** that someone like Limbaugh is now gone either. The guy did horrible **** on the radio for decades, mocked dying AIDS patients, normalized seeking out a racist audience, etc., etc. Sorry, I'm not popping champagne bottles but I'm certainly not going to mourn the guy.
  12. JFC DC sports media/radio personalities are a disappointment over the past year.
  13. Lol the way things have gone the past decade or so the only scenario I see is someone even worse slides into that spot.
  14. Hopefully it isn't like his short-lived show with Bram Weinstein where it quickly became awkward and uncomfortable once it was obvious BMitch had determined he couldn't stand Bram.
  15. I just finished watching this as well. I thought there was a great movie somewhere in there but I felt Malek was really miscast and I kept waiting for a payoff that never seemed to come. I was entertained throughout but was left very disappointed. I'll give it a C-.
  16. I'd rather they just have a guest on he can try to discuss that **** with that will just humiliate him and make him look like a moron. Bill Burr kind of did that to Joe Rogan early on in the pandemic pointing out how absurd it would be to listen to Rogan over some people with actual education and qualifications.
  17. It has been interesting learning over the past year that Eric Bickel simply can't comprehend the difference between fact vs. opinion and that people calling him stupid or deciding he's not worth listening to isn't some sort of infringement on his right to express an opinion. This guy has been quoting any random Twitter user to try to prove his point and been wrong about almost everything since this entire thing started. His outright refusal to admit that COVID didn't slow down completely over the summer and that hydroxychloroquine was a complete scam is infuriating. I always thought he was a guy who was fine admitting he was just a random idiot that was able to be entertaining on the radio. Instead, he has somehow determined over the past year he is more knowledgeable than actual doctors and scientists. SMH
  18. Galdi is still an upgrade over most of the programming on that station. I like him better with a co-host but he knows what he is talking about and can talk a lot of different sports without it sounding like he is making it up as he goes.
