  1. Last I saw he was on Twitter yesterday asking sarcastic questions about how exactly it worked if he flew to Boston and implying the entire testing/quarantine requirements are complete nonsense. His schtick for a while is to just yell "look at the data!" while quoting what is usually some random biased Twitter account saying nobody is dying from this anymore.
  2. Sorry, I should have been more clear. I'm not aware of anything he did other than be on the air with Dukes when he made the statements that got him in trouble. However, IIRC he is considered to be part of management at 106.7 so I don't think they'd be cool with him being on a podcast with someone they just fired for being racially insensitive.
  3. I'm sorry to hear you and other listeners will be missing out on the show for a while. I'd have to think this "hiatus" will end at some point and they'll come back. There is no way Chad's broadcasting career is over. What else would he do? I have a hard time believing he actually makes much money with that "Virginia Dry Goods" store. Drab might have to be a more permanent hiatus, for obvious reasons.
  4. BMitch has always seemed like the type to form an opinion and never be able to reevaluate it over time and adjust. He seems to have determined Haskins is the future after the draft last year and has gone hard at Jay and now Ron because they didn't see it that way. It's funny to me, because BMitch is always the first one talking about hard work and doing things the "right way" and it has been clear from the jump that Haskins has maturity issues and doesn't exactly work the hardest to improve.
  5. Lost my mom in February from cancer. She was always following Trebek's battle and I know whenever he announced that he'd received positive news she was so happy and felt a little bit of hope. I was so sad to hear this today. 2020 ****ing blows.
  6. Oh, EB is completely gone and it's kind if disappointing. I'll give them credit for being able to put on an entertaining show but I've lost a lot of respect the past 8 months.
  7. Fair enough - I'll definitely defer to your knowledge on it. If that was his schtick I would have thought he would have evolved a bit like Stern and I'm not sure the "chiggers" comment would have been acceptable even 10 years ago.
  8. Santana was on the show in the video when he was making those comments? If so, my fault for being misinformed but I'd just be shocked if that was the case. I had assumed this was a completely different show.
  9. We all have different opinions but I highly doubt he'd be making those same jokes when he had Lavar as a cohost or with Santana in studio.
  10. Along with some predictably horrible "likes" popping up on my feed about the election, I see Dr. Bickel is at it again . . .
  11. Wow - surprised Drab hasn't gotten gotten caught in the crossfire more about this. I'd say those comments are well beyond being acceptable.
  12. Oh, I'm already on the lookout for any cryptic tweets and/or "likes" from EB and Czabe. They are probably losing their minds right now.
  13. Lol I still think Cooley provides pretty good analysis on the Sheehan podcast. Doc, however, is just a constant stream of cliches and college mascots where I can't tell if he can even remember the names of the players he's talking about. "We gotta go out there and punch em in the mouth and if the big Buckeye can get in there and disrupt like I know he's capable and we can impose our will with the Memphis Tiger I feel great about our chances."
  14. I'm sure Gruden could be considered "lazy" compared to some, although I'm not sure I ever heard that term used to describe him. He was definitely more of a players coach and less of a hard ass than what BMitch would approve of, I'm sure. However, Gruden is far from the worst coach to have come through the organization in the past two decades and the argument could be made that he had his hands tied in many respects thanks to having Bruce as GM and with Snyder making decisions such as the previously mentioned Haskins draft pick. I guess my point is I didn't see this level of disdain for any of the other coaches that have come through here, even though I feel at least a few *cough* hip hip hooray *cough* were much more deserving.
  15. I'm convinced Gruden must have done something personally to BMitch considering how much he went at him on a daily basis - and sounds like he hasn't stopped.
  16. I have never been a huge fan of Grand and Danny, but am surprised to hear they made statements that could be considered racist. I just always thought "Funny" Danny was a misnomer and that Grant was a very good beat reporter who should have stayed in that role. Disappointed to hear if they actually made statements like that. I think the Junkies put on an entertaining show for the most part, just wish they hadn't shown their asses so much since COVID started.
  17. I remember back in ~2006 or so Bram Weinstein (of all people) was BMitch's co-host and basically exactly what you're asking for. It quickly became apparent that BMitch despised Bram for daring to go against his opinion and the show had a very uncomfortable vibe until they finally pulled the plug, which I believe didn't take too long. I think BMitch is just one of those people that will form an opinion and it will be impossible to compel him to change it. I also fully believe BMitch despised Gruden so much, that he automatically became married to the idea that Haskins was "the guy" simply because Gruden didn't want him and Gruden absolutely had to be wrong about everything.
  18. I don't agree with your opinion of what he said but I will acknowledge that I feel like I've heard worse on the actual station at times so am a bit perplexed that this was the straw that broke the camel's back. I suspect you're correct in that there was more going on behind the scenes that wasn't public knowledge. With that said, I understand you are apparently a fan of his and are more upset about this than most here. However, I'm not sure how it is "piling on" to point out that he was extremely hostile with a large portion of his audience and I know many people have also found him to be a dick in real life outside of his on air persona. I'd imagine he will be able to continue his podcast career along with whatever else and that you will be able to continue listening to him there. I'm also not sure who is "obsessed" with sports radio in this thread. I would have listened to him regardless of topics but I usually found him too abrasive with no actual sports knowledge despite having a show on a sports station during some of the most coveted hours of the day in a major market. I eagerly await his response to what happened. EDIT: I also just remembered I had heard a quote from one of his podcasts in the last few months where he was joking about Fran's wife giving birth to a baby that was mixed race and used a term that rhymes with "gelato" to describe it. I'm pretty sure that word is considered a slur but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
  19. Ah, thanks guys. My curiosity got the best of me and I managed to locate the old thread. Funny to see AIM and Myspace mentioned as recent methods of communications. It seems Dukes was just as quick with the block button on AIM as he is on Twitter. 😂 I miss some of the old ES personalities that have disappeared over the years.
  20. Are you able to give the cliff notes of GACOLBs anecdote about Dukes? Always interesting to hear your suspicions about someone confirmed.
  21. "Chad Dukes here to let you know that I refuse to give into the cancel culture lynch mob that I've been warning you all about for years. During these times, it is impossible to say anything as a straight white male without offending the mob. Now come see your boy Big Shooter and my friends down at Lindsay Ford of Fairfax."
  22. Yep, considering his comments about Tucker Carlson being the most brilliant mind on television or some such nonsense I'm amazed he's able to control himself for 20 hours a week on radio without getting himself in more trouble.
  23. Honestly, I can only assume EB hasn't been disciplined at this point because the Junkies are the flagship show for the station. I think EB has crossed the line plenty of times since the pandemic started and been downright irresponsible for someone with platform.
  24. Yeah, that definitely could have done it. Typical Chad Dukes rant playing the victim because he can't express opposing views about NFL protests including the "bad skin tone" comment and broad generalizations about "broken family structures" and the need for more police in areas because areas with those people need more police. Typical bull**** I'd expect to hear from him and honestly surprised he saved it for the podcast. Is that Drab from the Junkies on there ****ing about Kaepernick and how the protests haven't done anything?
