  1. i know it's all suggestive, especially at this point, but I'll die on the hill...Strong is going to be the best qb in this draft class
  2. I came in here to say the same thing, I love me some Logan Paulsen he's off on a lot of his analysis in regards to these qbs. Is it a weaker class than last year, probably but there's solid options in qb with 3 or 4 of them with some having potential to surprise.
  3. Picket and Howell are 3a 3b for me, they're the only two I'm not sure how I want to rank right now: Top 5 For Me** 1. Carson Strong 2. Matt Corral 3. Kenny Pickett 3. Sam Howell 5. Malik Willis **Disclaimer: This is all subject to change for me based on Senior Bowl, Combine, and Pro Days
  4. Doing a bit of evaluation with this qb class I'm starting to think if the medicals check out Strong very well may be the best qb out of this class, I'd then place Matt Corral second.
  5. I've taken to prop betting more so than traditional bets(ML/S/OU). Just hit on a 2 game soccer parlay Arsenal and Chelsea to both score first, Chelsea scored before half and Arsenal scored on the most insane corner I've ever seen. Looking at FD and they have two separate money back promos for WSG1 and TNT basketball tonight. What's everyone doing with that, if anything?
  6. I get it, the need for the habitual feeling these games can give you. For me personally I don't know if I'll ever get the love I once had for this team back the way that it was. Even if they somehow finally got it all together... I'd watch but not allow myself to fall back in. Not trying to make light of a serious issue but it's almost like this team has caused a PTSD feeling inside me. I still follow the team and keep up, I try to pay attention here, and enjoy watching the draft. It's possible if the team is ever sold from under Snyder, but he and the organizational mess that seems to always follow him have destroyed me as a rabid-fan; far removed from just the losing on the field.
  7. Not sure how many are gamblers but odds have WFT as +7 dogs, I just moved the line to -16.5 in favor of the Chiefs
  8. I want to hit on a couple of points in this message because it rings true for someone at 34 that while they had the 91 SB has experienced only pain and misery with this franchise: a. Most importantly, congratulations on baby Spiff! b. I have only really seen bad with this franchise, so I'm used to a team that loses. I can deal with a team losing, no one as a fan of this team can ever be seen as a fair-weather fan. Its the manor in how they lose and never seemingly having any semblance of a path forward. Even when coaches, GMs, FO personnel say we are going to rebuild from the ground up...it's always just a jump in race to mediocracy. I'd deal with loses if I ever felt like it was towards a bigger picture. c. Not only have I seen losing as this team's culture and identity it's also filled to the brim with black eyes from a human decency standpoint. We've seen an owner that has pressed lawsuits against grandmas, sexual exploitation, harassment, public disgracing, and many more punches to the guts of this fanbase. You know what separates us from the Lions or the Jets. They lose, but how often are they in the national media for running a **** show to the magnitude of what we've experienced? d. FedEx Field is abysmal in terms of location and ascetics, but it's just the tip of the iceberg. The whole experience is a train wreck, matched only by the play on the field. The team doesn't seem to care, the stadium is falling apart with pipes bursting, they're selling expired products to fans and that's if they haven't already run out. Oh but wait...why not charge 600% on those same products. They provide zero incentive for this fanbase to come to the stadium, especially in a day and age when I can sit in the comfort of my home with a 4K tv and have the best view. e. My weeks used to go with how this team was doing, I was vested. I would not miss a game, I refused to work or do anything when a game was scheduled. Now, who cares. Why should I when this team, management, and ownership clearly don't? I hate that I wont be able to raise my daughter to be as rabid as I once was. I hate she won't have those same experiences that as your father shared with you, mine did with me.
  9. Actually from what I remember, most Giants fans laughed at us for signing him and said "good luck." I thought it was just NFCE jesting...who knew how serious they all were
  10. That would honestly make the most sense because just like McDonalds ice cream machines, this team seems to always be broken 😣
  11. Great defensive play call...3rd and 3 and not a defensive back within 12 yards
  12. Can I just say I believe in him for the free beer?
  13. Not taken snarky, as it's not my intention either but I'm sure some of it has. Unfortunately, we will have to agree to disagree about Montez. It's almost a chicken vs egg situation for me: was it that he settled in as he got more comfortable or did his circumstance place among the talent he best falls in line with(players that in most instances wont be on these rosters come cut down, unless they over achieve in other areas such as special teams). I won't tie up or derail the thread any more with this, if you'd like to continue feel free to DM me. I've enjoyed the conversation. Either way, enjoy the season!
  14. I understood, I apologize if I gave you the impression I expected anything from Montez other than being a body. My problem is that he was almost called into action last season and without Kyle being healthy, that opportunity may very well present itself again. He's had plenty of time at this point to know what you have in him. I understand all the hurdles he's had to overcome due to COVID issues directly and indirectly affecting him.
  15. The throw to Patterson(I'll give him credit for finding him during the scramble) was IMHO more on Patterson's adjustment to the ball, than Montez's throw to him. The TD in the back of the end zone and the best throw he had all night to AGG absolutely deserves some credit(which is why I acknowledged he has some talent). I'd like nothing more than to be wrong, but I feel we are wasting valuable space with him on the team(also ignoring him being bad for most of the game does not bode well for those trying to make the team as a receiver).
  16. He improved as the quality of defense he was facing continued to drop. I understand your statement, and agree within reason. However, he has a deer in the headlights glaze in his eyes that reminded me a lot of Ramsey after Spurrier ruined him. It showed when he was entering the game, anytime pressure set on him, anytime he scrambled...it's not that he doesn't have talent he seems too scared to play the position. Is that something he'll outgrow...maybe and I hope he does but I'm not holding my breath while I patiently wait for Kyle Allen to come back from injury and take his job. He also committed a serious QB no-no when he led AGG into what would have been an on field murder, had the rules not been there to protect the receiver.
  17. Really only a few bad things from last night, and I wont overreact but it does worry me a bit: Barber will give you 1 yard every time, regardless of needing 1 or 2(For all that's holy give the ball to Patterson again, he would have gotten in as well) Our defense still seems to lack the speed needed to run sideline to sideline BUT that front and edge push...just wow I love DHop and backed sticking with him last season through his struggles but it's time to make some competition The gunners and blockers seemed lackadaisical at times during kick/punt coverages I never want to see Steven Montez in a game again, I know he ran an ok drive to end the game but that doesn't make up for how bad he was since mid-way through 3rd quarter Postives: No injuries Chase Young is a monster, we all knew it...he just reminded us in 3 1/2 minutes Fitz and Terry seem to already have a connection, it's been a long time since we've seen a route like that hit the receiver in stride Patterson may be the second best back on the team Sammis and Bates both showed they have potential but need time to grow St Juste looks ready to play I loved the misdirection pre-snap out of the backfield
  18. Not sure if this goes here, but looking at the Twitter feed side bar and seeing how Junior Galette is whining again over the FA signing of Tebow...it reminds me how happy I am that I've blocked him. He's really become a one trick pony. I agree Tebow shouldn't have been signed, I even agree it's a sham that he hasn't been signed. However, the whole side bar is of him complaining about it. I don't necessarily think our starters were bad, but there was an absolute lack of depth and you saw it any time Moses or Scherff were knocked out of play or shifted on the line to make up for injuries. We hadn't signed anyone that is a lock for day one starting OL(maybe Flowers), but we needed to definitely address our lack of depth along the line.
  19. Just to play devil's advocate: Smith Jensen and Wirfs...Wirfs fitting exactly what you described after the first game and a half once he settled into his rookie season.
  20. The Houston Texans select Tony Fields II LB West Virginia...and we’re moving him to strong safety where he’d be more effective.
  21. I'd be open to flipping someone and getting out of Houston if someone wanted to trade teams and we kept 1 team per GM
  22. If the ultimate goal is to gain points based on team's picks/%correct then you would throw off those numbers starting with the 3rd round. Now if we wanted to do this based only on the first two rounds than it would work, or am I missing the idea all together?
  23. Or we all do a 259 person draft, winner based on selection percentage correct? Not sure everyone would be down with a 259 person draft 😂
