  1. This is a very shrewd maneuver by Lindell. Everyone knows that the secret to getting SCOTUS to hear your case is to simply flood them with copies of what you want them to take up. Should work like a charm.
  2. Since we've been winning recently is what I'm concentrated on, because our game has changed since the bye. Defense is playing well, we're playing much more control the clock ball. Either way, our offense may need to step up this game unless our defense is lights out. We have one of the worst red zone TD percentages in the NFL. So yes, scoring points isn't out of the question, but our inability to punch it in enough could be problematic, especially if we end up in something closer to a shootout.
  3. I can see that, but for me it would depend on how it happens. If we win with a successful rushing attack, super stingy defense, and solid play from TH (basically like the last 4 games) then I doubt my opinion would change much. But if Dallas jumps to an early lead and/or our running game isn't working as well as we'd like, and we have to basically rely on TH's arm to propel us to victory then that would probably move the needle for me. Top QBs are the ones who can do that. Other things aren't working so the team has to basically say "ok, we have to rely on your arm to get us a win." and it happens. I haven't ever really seen TH be that guy yet. I think TH is a good player and seems like a really good dude, so I like him. But I can understand the theory of the sentiment. It was like the Cult of Colt. The people were just so over the top. Like when someone you know is trying to get you to like something they do (could be anything, not just football related) and they're annoying and overbearing about it and so that almost gives you a negative predisposition in your head about whatever they're pushing on you, regardless of whether you actually end up liking it or not.
  4. To be fair, you did basically disappear from this thread when Heinicke was struggling earlier in the season. You seemed to re-appear after he found his groove again.
  5. To be fair, what would you expect the players to say after their coach said that publicly? Not like they can go out and say "Man, coach shouldn't have said that" or something. He kind of put them in a bad spot there.
  6. The NFL should institute a mandatory league-wide Thumb War between opposing QBs prior to the start of every game.
  7. Good point about the early lead. If Dallas comes out hot and goes up by a couple of scores and we have to start trying to get more big chunk pass plays, that probably wouldn't be a good thing, especially against a team that gets as many turnovers as they do. We've been able to win recent games by a combination of our defense playing great and a ball control offense. But pretty much no defense is going to be able to shut down everyone. Eventually someone will get the better of them, even if it's for one or two games. Then we'd have to get away from ball control offense and move towards high scoring chunk pass offense, and that's probably not going to work very well for us.
  8. Yeah, I understand where it comes from. It's a QB league, and the QBs are the "faces" of the teams. Plus, it's also something "clickbait-y" that can get their articles hits. Again, this has nothing to do with TH. If Tampa beat us and people said "Tom Brady beat Taylor Heinicke" I'd say the same thing: "That's stupid, no he didn't. QBs don't play each other."
  9. Ok, so Tom Brady (or TOM BRADY, as you know him) is the "face" of TB. So then we can sort of say that Heinicke somehow beat the "face" of the TB Bucs, without actually having anything to do with him directly. Fair enough, if that's what works for you. And if nobody is saying there wasn't any sort of direct matchup or correlation between the two QBs, why do they keep repeating "Heinicke beat Brady" if they know it's meaningless and not accurate?
  10. Again, I think the TB defensive players would probably be surprised to find out that Tom Brady leads them. Either way, if it helps you get your rocks off to pretend like there was some sort of direct matchup between Taylor Heinicke and Tom Brady where Heinicke came out on top, more power to you man.
  11. You're really struggling with this whole concept of Tom Brady not playing defense or being a defensive coordinator, aren't you?
  12. Yes, we beat Tampa Bay. Our offense, led by Heinicke and our OC, beat their defense, led by their defensive players and DC. Our defense, led by our defensive players and DC, beat their offense, led by Tom Brady and their OC.
  13. Does Tom Brady lead the Tampa Bay defense? If so that's probably news to their DCs as well as defensive players (and probably Brady himself). Heinicke beat the Tampa Bay defense. He doesn't play defense. Neither does Tom Brady. Look, I know people are all hyped and this sort of stuff juices them that they can figure out some way to spin the whole thing so it makes Heinicke look better than Brady, but it's just nonsense. Heinicke didn't "beat" Tom Brady any more than any other QB "beat" the other during any game. They don't play each other.
  14. This has nothing to do with Taylor Heinicke. This is something that I've always thought was stupid in general and has always irked me. "x QB beat y QB this Sunday." No he didn't, unless they decided to cancel the game and in it's place show a QB skills competition between the two quarterbacks while everyone else went out for lunch. Then using it as some sort of marker to prop one QB over the other is just as silly. Do you think Heinicke is a better QB than Brady? If not, then explain the specific purpose of throwing the "He beat Brady!" thing out there. It's the forum equivalent of a clickbait headline. Sure, if Tom Brady transitioned to Middle Linebacker and nobody noticed.
  15. I'd forgotten that he said this: "I haven't caught COVID yet so I don't see me treating COVID until I actually get COVID." From the "How To Know You're A Moron In One Simple Step" files.
  16. Agree that we're almost certainly not going to win shootouts, so basically our only path to victory hinges on our defense playing great. Our offense will have to put up some points, but not a ton. But my assumption is that Dallas will score 20 points regardless. Our defense balled out big time vs Tampa, including multiple turnovers, and they still put up 20 points. Dallas is averaging 30 points per game. Us keeping them to 9 would be insane.
  17. I have a feeling we may be pushing our luck with this "low scoring squeaker wins vs high scoring teams" thing. That levee will break eventually and our offense is going to need to put up more than 20 points.
  18. NO. Only Elon Musk can be the savior we need. He alone can fix everything. Only Elon Musk. ONLY EVER ELON MUSK. HAIL MUSK! HAIL MUSK!
  19. Sure, but it's a completely irrelevant statement and doesn't actually have any meaning. Our offense beat their defense. Their offense lost to our defense. Tom Brady and Taylor Heinicke were only on the field at the same time before and after the game.
  20. There no way a woman named Allyson DeFelice could be from anywhere but Florida.
  21. As soon as an article talks about one QB "beating" another, I pretty much disregard it. TH didn't beat Brady, Newton, or Wilson. Our defense beat them.
  22. PFF grades based on how well the OL do at their individual assignments, so they try to take things like QB out of the equation as much as possible. Which makes sense, since we've seen crappy OLs make great QBs look bad and great QBs make crappy OLs look good. So our OL is actually just really good at executing, possibly regardless of QB.
  23. Our OL has been very highly rated by PFF for most of the season as well. LV gave them some fits, but overall they've been absolutely tip top in pass pro. And even in the LV game, we do see the pressures and sacks, but we also saw plenty of times where Heinicke had all day to throw.
