  1. He’s going to star on ST and develop this year and eventually be contributing at CB or S.
  2. I think the Lions could be interested in that. They get a pick in this draft and a elite player. Scherff might even want to go there since he’s a Midwest guy. I’m all about trading Scherff for anything more than a 3rd. He won’t sign a LTD and we aren’t going to resign him next year, so to me a draft pick>one year of Scherff for 18 mil.
  3. When I watch Fields I get Russell Wilson vibes. Maybe it’s Fields’ elite baseball background (was a potential future 1st rounder but gave it up in HS). Fields’ character, worth ethic and toughness is equal or better than any QB in this draft. Lance scares me much more than Fields, based on experience factor and age.
  4. There is no way he’s worth a 2nd- but just looked it up and he’s only owed Here's what a team acquiring Julio Jones in a trade would owe him on his current deal: 2021: $15.3M 2022: $11.513M 2023: $11.513M 3-years, $38.326M in total. mid to late pick would be fine for me
  5. I interpreted it the opposite; that the blue collar worker is forced to risk his health because he has no other option besides starving, that’s not a good thing, but it’s reality. A pro athlete has options and can play hardball.
  6. The following are not mutually exclusive and reflect my feelings on Reyes. 1. Reyes has some good strength/speed/explosive numbers that make him an exciting ball of clay to work with. 2. I am really pleased with signing him, especially since what I’ve read about him indicates he has a strong work ethic and is serious about working to develop into a football player. 3. I don’t expect him to contribute much of anything next year, possibly ever. He is long shot, but I’m rooting for him. 4. I find the knee jerk reactions immediately comparing him to elite basketball/football players cringey and annoying.
  7. I’m pretty proud of this one. Mac Jones slipped to 19; I don’t like him as a fit for us and so I traded down with Pittsburgh. Doubled up on OT, one of them will be a guard for us, at least initially.
  8. I’m not sure how realistic it is. Technically, it lines up pretty close with the accepted draft value chart, but it doesn’t take into account competitors or desperation factor. It’s what I’d be willing to pay, though.
  9. Seahawks select Robert Jones, OT Middle Tennessee.
  10. The Seattle Seahawks select: Samis Reyes, TE This freakish athlete and former professional basketball player will be converting to TE. https://youtu.be/f1sIdSYbGgc
  11. Definitely possible. But why the subterfuge? We know what the other teams are doing at 1 and 2, so why are we hearing so much Mac Jones rumors?
  12. Oh, it’s Pitts no question for me. He’s the BPA and he also fills a slight need (move TE). I just think there’s like a 1% chance it happens. I don’t even think Darrisaw will be there, with teams like Minnesota ahead of us. It could be a situation where we need to go BPA because we see Waddle> Cosmi, as an example. I actually think it’s more likely Devonte Smith or a top CB is available vs Pitts, unless Pitts gets a medical red flag or something bizarre like is caught on video smoking weed through a gas mask.😆 Depending on Farley’s medical, I’d also consider him in play at 19 (or possibly a trade up back to end of first or early 2 for him).
  13. While they can be unrealistic (Pitts dropping so far) these mock drafts are pretty good at helping to realize where there is some depth. For example, if you miss out on OT by round 3 it’s pretty much bare. Compare that with WR where there are still good players later. Unless one of the blue chip guys drop, I think OT is the way to go with our 1st. I like Zaven Collins but I think I’d rather the pick be OT.
  14. The Seattle Seahawks select Eric Stokes, CB, GA. Unless he’s already been picked... it’s been a busy day for me, apologies.
  15. Disagree. I don’t think they are guaranteed a premium talent at 12. They may miss out on all of the offensive weapons by that pick. I’m excited they won’t get Pitts or Chase- still could get Waddle. Also, we avoided them getting their QB of the future. Roseman sucks, their offseason was a disaster and the draft looks like it won’t be much better. Rejoice in their failures and let it bring you much happiness.
  16. As we can see from the Humphries signing, teams are going to be cutting good players that have bad contracts. The Titans saved a lot of money by cutting Humphries, but he’s a good player. I expect we will continue to take advantage of the situation, especially after the draft, when teams were able to draft cheaper replacements. I expect we target CB and TE with some of the unexpected cuts, and get some good one year or short term deals.
  17. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/c.j.-mosley-14426/ Is he any good? Because his contract looks awful. They will cut him and we can sign him if we like. I’m not giving up draft picks for that contract.
  18. As I recall, Everett was playing pretty well at FS before he got hurt and Reaves looked decent. I’d like to upgrade but it’s not dire. LB on the other hand was bad last year and we lost KPL also. We have got to sign more than Mayo, need a coverage LB. I’d be really surprised if we don’t take advantage of FA and sign more pieces in the next month and after the draft. We aren’t done, I hope, at least we shouldn’t be.
  19. It was so horrible and he’s undersized too. “His performance on the field for the Panthers was much better than the product he put on the field for the Pro Day. Ford posted a 4.90 40-yard dash, 29-inch vertical jump, 9-foot-2 broad jump, 4.53 shuttle run and a 7.65 three-cone. Those athletic testing numbers could make him undraftable and teams are going to have a lot of questions about what he spent his time doing when he opted out.”
