    I don't think we're even in the ballpark though. Even if we trade them multiple first round picks, none of them would be good enough to land a top QB.

    Technically they is Georgia. The rules can't do much if we elect these people.

    The question is what do we do as a country when none of these are able to pass through with any significance. The minimum wage for example hasn't changed since 2009. Not a dime. That's clearly not right. If we can't do a reasonable adjustment then what is the solution? Not saying i know the answer but there's a reason why progressives are trying to add a $15 minimum wage into the covid relief package. Otherwise it'll never pass.

    He just got injured though. That's a huge risk. Its in both their interests to sign Dak to a long term deal. The Cowboys can save money on this year's cap by spreading out a 5 year deal a bit. (and pay more later) Due to covid the cap is smaller this year, whereas in the future no doubt it'll continue to go up. Its in any team's interest to save money this season and mortgage for the future.

    Pay scale has been over a decade, but many big name QBs were drafted before 2011. And rookies don't get contracts until after 4 years so the numbers take a bit to catch up. The "rule" used to be you never pay a single player or QB more then 13% of your salary cap, but that ship has long sailed. These days a Kirk Cousins makes more then that vs the cap and its normal. It'll only get worse too. Every QB signs the next biggest deal ever.

    Haskins would've had value with a competently run franchise but it was obvious that Gruden didn't want him and was on the outs anyway. Ron is no dummy, he tried to showcase Haskins, tried to play up his leadership and putting in the right work, all that jazz before the season started. Unfortunately Dwayne was/is beyond stupid and Rivera couldn't salvage the situation. Of course a competent franchise wouldn't have drafted Haskins that early or at all to begin with.
