Do you remember all the Giants on social media going WTF when they benched Hurts? Or the Eagles on the sideline going ballistic? Not that we'll ever know for sure. But only a few WFT fans would ever think they benched Hurts because they wanted to win.

I don't think we could've scored a game winning drive if Philly took a lead. Alex Smith was really immobile that game. We were playing for a spot and Philly was only playing spoiler. Hurts is young and only had a few games under his belt. It didn't really make sense to bench him in a meaningless game even though they weren't moving the ball in the 2nd half.

Uh... Scherff never lead the league in false starts, nor did Scherff play next to Chris Samuels his entire career. Absolutely no way Dockery was a better run blocker then Scherff. Remember in our offense, we do not really run the football and are generally in the bottom half of the league in attempts. Part of that is that we're usually losing, but we haven't utilized the right side of our line correctly.

Big problem with tanking is the draft lottery. The worst teams can end up with a 5-7 pick.

Zeitler and Turner are on the market for a reason. Turner played like ass and Zeitler had a down year. Thuney cannot be had for a fraction of Scherff. He'll get a similar contract to what Scherff would get. Probably less, but not significantly less. Ya'll are having this conversation as if Scherff is some scrub or something. Guy is possibly the best Guard in franchise history. The franchise tag is not a great move, but paying a good player is not some sign of this team being stupid.

Surving Mars is free on the Epic Games Store this week. Simulation/City Building/Sci-Fi game. Very good game if you're into this genre.

He threw a perfect bomb to start that playoff game against the Saints off a fleaflicker and the WR dropped it in the end zone. Right in the bread basket. Trubisky is intriguing on paper. He actually has a career 29-21 record and decent stats. (6.7 career YPA is pretty garbage though) On tape... he throws some really poor deep balls. Its gotta be his arm strength, defenders close distances fast against him. He can make really nice throws to the sidelines but defenses take that away too and easily bait him in the middle of the field. His ability on rollouts and off playaction is nice. Could work in our offense. He played better when Nagy gave up the play calling. Maybe he can be coached up.

Tagging Scherff is a poor move. Not because he's not worth it but a LTD would save money on this years cap which is lower due to covid. I wonder if the negotiations went south or something.

66 of the 75 is the signing bonus which is prorated over length of the contract. Cowboys actually will save money on this years cap, which is lower then it would've been due to covid. Obviously Cowboys were going to pay Dak. Said it before, but its in any team's interest to save money this season and spend more later. The salary cap in the NFL does not go down. Only in this very specific year with the pandemic. Paying a massive cap hit in 2022/2023/2024 will be easier as the cap will increase.

Weary letting Scherff go. If he hadn't missed games in the last 3 years I'd say hell no. All-Pro players aren't just replaced like that. Have to be very lucky to find a Wyatt Teller type via FA/Trade or draft a Joe Thuney in the 3rd round. I predict we resign him. We'll see if it'll be the right move in the future.

Coming 2 America. Pretty terrible. Really disappointing because they could've made an unoriginal rehash of the classic and it would've been 10 times better.
