  1. If Harris was smart he would do a firesale now... Get rid of all expensive players coming up for big contracts for draft pics: Sweat and Young - trade both for pics Curl - keep he should be reasonably cheap Brisset - trade him to a team with an injured starter Lucas - one of few decent tackles on this O line, easily worth a 3rd Gibson and Samuels - we could get something for both keep/ resign lower tier guys on the cheap. Tank for a high pick/ QB in 24 - rebuild the team, starting with a QB but with a real GM and HC
  2. man..... Reid must have Washington on speed dial and uncontrollably salivates every time he sees the phone ring. Here is how he has taken advantage of this team with no reach around option. 2010 - Mcnab for a 2nd and Forth - Mcnab on his last leg, mostly done 2018 - Alex Smith for a 3rd and Fuller in this prime. dink and dunk king.. with noodle arm. no chance in todays NFL unless team around him is fully stacked 2022 - Bienieme - getting dumbo Ron to give Bienieme a job just so he could get him out of his org and still save face. Bienieme is over his head, looks lost out there.. he is a joke as an OC 2023 - There is still time Ron! maybe trade Terry for the Chiefs waterboy?
  3. Only if we are up by 21+ and even then.. you know he is basically the one CB every QB will pick on.. i wouldnt feel super confident about him playing meaningful snaps. This game will be closer than people think.. so not sure its one Forbes fits in to .
  4. yes.. its no so much the weight.. its how he is built. Big hips, strong and muscular lower body. it allows him to absorb hits and tackles with less damage (sort like Cooley used to)
  5. Related to taking too many sacks... I've been thinking that taking a sack might not be what it once was...especially if your qb is built like a linebacker. If you notice most of the sacks Sam takes are wrap up style sacks at low speed, so a low chance of getting hurt. Ultimately i hope he learns to process the field faster, gets a better feel for blitzes and learns to throw the ball away. I want to see the kid succeed.. he does have an NFL arm and accuracy. Wash might very well beat the single season sac record and still have Sam mostly healthy for the season... obviously not a goal we want to achieve, but it could happen
  6. By the way... anyone notice that Tress Way issues are most likely stemming from having a guy in his grill as he is punting and him having to short leg punts not to get blocked. Our special team blocking sucks... Is JDR managing special teams as well?
  7. Even if Sam ends up being a consistent mid level (12-18 ranked) QB, the team around him is nowhere good enough to get us in the NFC Championship. If he was a top 5QB.. and better coaching.. maybe. Once we clean house from the atrocious coaching we have had to endure over the last 4 years.. A very good coach and GM can probably fix this roster in 1-2years. If Sam figures out how to stay upright and healthy that long... there a some interesting possibilities on what this team can be. A lot of ifs though.
  8. I like listening to Sheehan most of the time .... but man.. he makes some idiotic conclusions from time to time. Like "you cant grade this draft class after 5 games and drafted players are not playing because there are young players ahead of them" that's moronic. Your 1st rd drafted player should be starting right away and contributing at a high level right away. So far Forbes is a bust, at best he turns in to J Davis and starts contributing at an average level by year 3 Q Martin looked bad in preseason.. but if safety was such a strength.. why draft another safety this high. The failure of this draft is more on the FO then on the players.. although players don't look too hot at this point. They drafted a bunch of players that cant help the team win near term.. and even when the current starters are not playing well.. draft class still cant get on the field. What does that say about your draft?!
  9. you have to run the ball effectively period. we want to break our qb in and teach him how to throw is one of the most idiotic things i have heard. You need to take the pressure off the qb by running the ball.. and obviously reduce the chance of sacks. On top of Howells propensity for taking sacks, the O philosophy seems to me .. lets just chuck it and see what happens. Its about winning in the NFL... QB development is secondary. You have a significantly higher chance of making your qb gun shy and scared in the pocket then actually have him develop taking hit after hit... Youre about to get Wentz 2.0, congrats!
  10. At this point Ron is more of a detriment to the team than help. I am very concerned that this moron is allowed to make any important decisions for this team like trading for players or trading away players this year.
  11. It’s obvious logic and common sense are not part of your vocabulary. You keep saying the same dumb ****. Let’s just agree to disagree.
  12. We're in year 4 of the 10y rebuild plan bro! be patient!
  13. you're projecting your own guesses as facts.... 1. You dont know what Wentz would have done (on paper our O weapons were actually pretty good) and they overpaid because Ron is a terrible GM 2. You dont know what it was for Wilson, he never stated so publicly (but even if he did you cant take him at his word) 3. I dont think Wagner was ever an option here - find me where they tried to get him and he said no because of the owner what else you got?
  14. you're reaching here.... 1. Wentz was a trade... so he had no choice 2. Top QBs want to come to a team ready to win and compete for the superbowl now... so they will always choose the better team. If we had a much better roster, i think Wilson would have chosen Wash over Den (i don't believe that owner of the team matters) If anything Snyder was too accommodating to superstar QBs, so if anything - playing for him would be a plus.
  15. i think most players dont care who the owner is.. all they care about is: 1. money 2. winning
  16. yes and no Was Snyder a terrible owner - yes. But most of the decisions that got us here are Ron decisions. Did Snyder make his life more difficult, absolutely.. but I refuse to believe that a better coach could not have gotten much better results even under Snyder.
  17. You're giving him too much credit for this so called perception change.. that's just an excuse you're telling yourselves. Truth is.. this team is still viewed as a joke by most of the league. -Most teams don't fear playing Wash -Great players still don't want to come here ..and results speak for themselves. This imaginary culture change is complete BS propagated by subpar coaches as an excuse for their on field performance. If Gruden could have consistently won here, i guarantee we would have one of the best "cultures" in the nfl.
  18. such an asinine statement... what exactly did he do for this org? How are we back on track? Culture of loosing - still here mostly wasted draft pics the last 4 years - check never had a winning record here - yup dismantled an above avg Oline and made it horrendous - oh yeah Defense still sucks - pretty much He cant even tank properly so we have a shot at a good QB. Lets build him a statue at fedex...
  19. Thank you Ron... you incompetent buffoon. With this loss you have insured that I wont have to see your stupid ass or any of the worthless cronies you hired on the sidelines next year. In year 4 of the the "rebuild" its time to tear it all down and have another rebuild.
  20. Diggs was a 2nd rd pick... Forbes was a top 16 pick. a mid rd 1st rounder is expected to be good right away(unless you're riverboat Ron) .. see Gonzalez and Witherspoon. So far looks like Del Rio and Riverra "outsmarted" themselves yet once again... surprise, surprise. You'd getter a better hit rate just throwing darts at the draft-board.
  21. Did Hurts even get hit this game? I dont think i saw him pressured once.... not a single blitz that got through? WTF are we doing on D? Its ****ing ridiculous!!
  22. horrendous drafting... this alone should be reason enough to clean house from these morons.
  23. here’s my take…. Howell is not there yet… but looks like the real deal. I’m impressed. What’s really frustrating is that after spending all the money and draft capital to build us this supposedly amazing defense wash repeatedly gets man handled by every team we play. Watching our #1 pick get repeatedly destroyed by every wr he goes against is deflating. What’s even more incredible is that this supposedly d focused coaching staff is so ****ing bad at drafting d players. It’s utter incompetence. End of the season house cleaning for this staff can’t come soon enough!!!
  24. Wait this is about to get good.... "genius" Ron is going to trade for Deshawn Watson to save the season! lol love how all the ron defenders are finally seeing the light
