  1. i saw him serving drinks at starbucks the other day.. he managed to get my order wrong
  2. agreed... Fields is not the answer. Also with recent changes to the NFL... a backup qb is a very important commodity and requires a highly skilled qb (just below starter quality) as there is a very good chance he will play in multiple games per season Issue is for backup QB you want: 1. Experienced veteran that can help a rookie learn a new system, be a sounding board, show how to prepare for games, etc. Sam is too new and inexperienced to help in this way. 2. Be good enough to win games in a pinch Sam at this point is not a good backup QB.. at best he is a #3. Now he might learn and get better and actually become a starting QB at some point, he has the tools. But the way he finished, i am not sure I can trust him to come in and win a game. I would love to keep Brisset, not sure we will though.
  3. I actually use Ron for drafting.. for every player i am interested in, i ask myself... "what would Ron do?" .. and then do the opposite.
  4. i dont see it. Most NFL execs aren't "that" dumb (sorry Ron) Howell played like a 5th rd pick. If he gets an opportunity to start due to an inj sometime down the line for at least 5 games and balls out.. there might be a little interest. Look at Baker.. drafted #1, had one bad season and could barely find a job last year. From what ive seen over the last 5 games, he is not even Minshew quality at this point.
  5. I actually think his contract stipulates that he has to give back 1mil for every loss.... pretty sure he is broke🥲
  6. ...possibly working at McDonalds as it wont be anywhere close to professional football. .. and keep your hands off my fries Ron!!
  7. his firing cant come soon enough! good riddance.. Ron might actually be the worst GM/HC this team has EVER had. Cant think of a single positive he brought to this team or a single intelligent decision.
  8. the Wilsons ego .. he is not going anywhere to be a backup.. i think he retires
  9. lol.. well now apparently everyone sees what i was saying for the last 2 years.. that Ron is an idiot. The level of mismanagement of personnel, draft, talent and scheme over the last few years is borderline criminal. I wouldn't trust him to cut my lawn. The ONE thing he is good at is LOOSING... and now he cant go back to Howell no matter what. which means we have a good shot of winning one of the next few games and knocking us out of the top 5 pick range for a real qb. He is the first person i know to fnck up loosing!
  10. if Rivera doesnt do something stupid like install Brisset the starter we should still get a top 5 pick. Sam is a back up, hes gotten plenty of time to show what he's got... and he has shown he has a looong way to go. But a cheap backup is not a bad deal
  11. How this incompetent moron Rivera gets to hold on to the hc job this long is beyond me! Im beginning to think Harris isn’t much smarter than Snyder.
  12. umm... Wilson, Stafford and Eli are all franchise QBs. Foles and Flaco won on fully stacked teams and in the old NFL.. they would not have won in todays NFL. Can you win with a fully stacked team and an above avg QB today.. probably, but we are a lot farther from a fully stacked team, than from one Franchise QB
  13. I don't get paid enough (or at all) to make that determination. Both QBs have put enough on tape to be considered upper level talent at the most important position in the NFL but i am not advocating for either one. Are you guarantied to hit on a QB in the top 5? no.. see how quickly Tepper turned on his coach and GM when they obviously made the wrong QB pick. But that your best shot at finding a franchise QB and a franchise QB can turn your team around in the same season with good coaching even if the talent around him is nothing special. 1. You hire a very good GM and HC 2. You let them rate current QB talent and draft talent. 3. If they determine that there is an incredibly talented QB in the top 5 and your pic is close... you try to trade up or make the QB pic. Ultimately if i am looking for a QB to lead my team he has to hit these checkboxes. - mobile - strong arm - intelligent and quick decision maker - Big _6'3-6'5 If he does not meet all the above checks, he will be at disadvantage in the NFL (no matter how accurate, quick, smart he is).. the odds will be stacked against him in todays NFL And if you miss on the QB.. fine, you try again next year.. you have the rest of your draft class to hit on other players but if your team is at least semi average you wont be picking in the top 5 again for a while, and the cost of trading up from lets say 12 to 2 is enormously high
  14. That's the kind of thinking that got us where we are now. If you're picking in the top 5 pics and you don't have a set franchise QB, and one with that potential is available.. you take that QB and build a team around him. With proper coaching and some FAs this team can be rebuild pretty quick.. at least on the O side.
  15. it cant really get much worse than this... Wash pretty much hit rock bottom under Rivera..... Culture is damn good though! 1. Looking at Rons dumb face after every blow out reeks of a man who lost faith and has no answers(never really did) 2. The team has obviously quit on this coaching staff 3. we wont win another game this year.. only positive - top 5 pick next year.
  16. nah.. dont see it. He will get one more year with Rogers since the whole O is build for Rogers to succeed with OC and HC. Now if Rogers sucks/ hurt again in 24.. their whole FO is done.
  17. my priorities for both FA and draft are: 1A - Oline (tackles, guards, vending machines, etc.) pretty much anything thats better than what we have now. I would actually try to shore up oline in FA - you have the highest chance of these players producing after big contracts. 1B - Top flight receiver (draft) tall, big, fast. Make Dotson the slot guy, (Terry a perfect 1B but cut or trade after 2023 season if the top guy balls out, if not cut after 24) 2A - CB - Fuller is gone, Forbes sucks - need 2 solid additions. 2B - DE - One top flight in the draft should be sufficient Our DE depth is decent and these guys can be resigned on the cheap 2B. LB - need a true upgrade.. should be ablet to find in either draft or fa 3. TE - Thomas has lost a step and not worth the contract. I would want to see what the other can do with better coaching.. but an upgrade would be nice. 4. RB - Gibson is done - Robinson is solid.. need a 3rd down, fast change of pace RB
  18. Don't forget that you're not just getting a higher pick in the first round... its a higher pick for every round in the draft. ( yes its common sense, but many forget) so while there are no guarantees that we would hit on the higher 1st rd pick you still have a higher chance of hitting on more pics with a higher selection in each rd or getting more in trades of those pics.
  19. ... or it could be that he had very little incentive to play hurt for this sh!t show of an organization and since he was franchised the last 2 years (guaranteed salary) and didnt really want to be here.. he milked every inj here for its max time. cant really blame him.
  20. how's is firing someone for being terrible at his job scapegoating? i cant believe we still have so many Ron and JDR apologists.. this truly is the dumbest fansbase in the NFL
  21. I bet Harris has a wink/ nod agreement with Rivera to let him coach out the rest of the year to save some dignity, and if so Rivera will retire on his own and save harris a few mil in salary
  22. of course he does... why else would you trade both of your DEs who also happened to be the better players on this team? it benefits him in multiple ways: 1. more draft choices to rebuild the team and more cap space 2. more lucrative for a good GM/ Coach to join 3. if Wash finishes with a bad record this year.. next year with a new system/ GM/ coach it will be easy to finish with a much better record. so Harris and new FO look good by default 4. Makes moving on from Ron's FO pretty easy in public opinion (not that its really necessary since Rons over all incompetence nailed the coffin shut for himself) If the Offence and Howell look legitimate the rest of the year, but we lose most of the games its a win-win for both owner and fans. This team can be turned around in one season
