  1. You are really underpricing Armstrong. I think he is going to get low 8 figures AAV. He’s had a 9 sack year and then an 8 sack year in back to back years and he is young. Someone will pay up
  2. Something I think about with Daniels is, if he is able to get more lower body mass on his frame, will that help his arm strength as well?
  3. Jonah Williams is an example of the type of guy who I don't want. He's going to get overpaid by someone given his draft pedigree. He is not a good tackle whether it is the right side or the left side. He is McGlinchey 2.0
  4. Lance Newmark ran college scouting for the Lions in 2015 and 2016. Looking at his drafts, he drafted three guys who went on to become Pro Bowlers for other teams - Quandre Diggs, Laken Tomlinson and Miles Killebrew. Between those two years, he also drafted Decker, Glasgow and A’Shawn Robinson. He did have a number of misses like any draft and some wtfs like drafting a long snapper in the 6th who got IR’ed as a rookie and then dumped before his second year Points to solid player selection and poor development and use of players. No wonder why Newmark was able to survive regime after regime in Detroit
  5. I did not realize that Glasgow once started a whole season at center. That is a gamechanger and gets me very interested in him. As others pointed out, he had a stronger season than Jonah Jackson last year at the guard position for Detroit. I love a big center in the middle and Glasgow could be that guy
  6. Brown is a team cancer (read about him quitting on the Patriots last year...not a culture fit in the least despite how solid a player he is), Becton is not worth $9M given the season he is coming off of and the inability to stay healthy
  7. Yep. Strom can play. He just needed to get stronger. It was telling that he was the first interior lineman off the bench before he got hurt. Still not sure I count on him to be a Day 1 starter
  8. It’s not just that he is an elite special teamer but, by all accounts, he is a special person and leader. You keep him around Even in a deep tackle draft like this, it is hard to count on a guy taken in the second round being your Day 1 starter.
  9. I agree with you. It makes no sense to cut Wylie this offseason. When your net cap by keeping him is $1.6M, it is a no brainer to keep him around at least one more year and, at the very minimum, have him be your sixth offensive lineman. He's the perfect guy to have as your starting LG or RT for the first 5-6 games until your rookie 2nd or 3rd round lineman is ready to replace him, especially given how light this year's FA OL class is. It is telling that they just let Gates come to us for not a meaningful amount of money
  10. It is tough to bank on a rookie 2nd round pick to step in as a starting LT too, even in a tackle class as deep as this one. FA is weak for tackles. Maybe there is a sleeper they like in FA like a Josh Jones or Yosh Nijman, they love a Patrick Paul or they splurge on Tyron Smith Only guy is Tyron Smith who we could get due to the DQ connection but the guy misses so much time
  11. I'm a bit surprised. A tradeback may be on the table to get a LT but who is out there who could step in? I don't think Tyron Smith is the move. Trent Brown is affordable and solid but he is a headcase
  12. Can't they just use Jamin in this role? I'd rather they sign a veteran green dot LB type to pair with him
  13. It's fishy to me that both "Paul" brothers are raw because they were poorly coached. I'm guessing it is more likely that Patrick doesn't love football. These are two brothers who are highly intelligent and have the athleticism
  14. If it is not a proven big X, no thank you on spending FA $ on a starter. Grab a guy in the draft then
  15. There is nuance. Zach teamed up with multiple future NFL players (Allgeier, Milne as examples) backed by a great coach to beat up on the likes of UTSA, Troy and Louisiana Tech. With Maye, he teamed up w an ACC roster to play an ACC schedule. Daniels teamed up w a SEC roster to play a SEC schedule
  16. The Zach Wilson comparisons don’t make sense to me. He was a clear case of a guy who exploded playing some very bad teams his final year. Because of COVID, BYU couldn’t get Pac 12 teams and other Power 5 teams on their schedule that year. I believe Boise State and Coastal Carolina were the only ranked teams they played that year. Boise State was on its 3rd string QB if I recall and their D got gashed as a result that game. Wilson wasn’t good against Coastal and came up short. The ACC schedule Maye played this year >>> Wilson’s 2020 schedule
