  1. See below on Del Rio. This is from the upcoming book on Elway. Great to know Del Rio is a loyal guy who will stand up for his coach
  2. The good news, per that article, is that Snyder is going to continue to screw himself over. As Ryan Holiday says, “ego is the enemy”
  3. How can you not go with Buck? Excellent play by play man with football experience. He must also be the one guy in DC sports media that no one dislikes
  4. He was probably average to below average. He did draft Cooley in the 3rd, trade Coles for Moss (although Portis initiated this), draft ST over Winslow (Portis too) and sign Marcus Washington, Cornelius Griffin and Shawn Springs as FAs.
  5. I just want to remind everyone that, if someone were to buy the team, they wouldn't need to pay the full purchase price upfront through their pocket. They would be able to do a leveraged buyout where they put up 20% to 40% of the purchase price upfront and borrow the rest, effectively paying down the debt with cash flows from the team. Remember Snyder did this exact same thing in 99 when he bought the team. With that in mind, I definitely don't want an owner who does not have the independent wealth to buy the team upfront. For every Rooney, you end up with a Bidwill. Would rather have a guy with unlimited budget like Bezos who can revamp the team's facilities out of his own pocket and implement a world class tech system.
  6. Really good card last night. I can’t wait to see Lazzezz fight again. Loved all the up elbows and knees. He has great timing on takedowns but needs to develop GnP and jits. He wants Perry, but he is out a while. I say give him Luque.
  7. This development on ownership is interesting. If you look at the articles from ten years ago (when Snyder was talking to the media), Schar was positioned as being one of Snyder’s mentors and best friends. Fred Smith is another longtime mentor of his. I’d imagine these guys hated Bruce and were pissed it took so long for Dan to get rid of him
  8. Is him being a team captain a lock at this point?
  9. Anyone else listen to Gil’s appearance on Phil & Buck’s podcast yet?
  10. I used to watch every event from 2011 thru the ESPN deal. Hard to pull myself to watch a lot of these cards nowadays. Very watered now, weak co-mains and main events that should be co-mains. Maybe part of it is that a lot of the exciting fighters / legends I started watching have now retired (Hendo being a great example) or left for elsewhere (Mousasi). Taking a look through the roster, are Shogun and Overeem the last PRIDE era fighter left? Although both are well past their prime, both are so fun to watch given the technical advantage, Shogun especially. I find myself in awe watching flabby Shogun pull out wins vs rising prospects
  11. This is such a crappy card. You would think the UFC would load up a card with a landmark number like 250. The only fight I'm really looking forward to on it is Garbrandt vs Assuncao and that should not be a co-main on a card like this.
  12. The odd thing with Lucas is why did he sign a deal for such a low AAV? You would think great backups at the LT spot would get a bit more
  13. Haskins didn't work hard until midway thru the season, threw McLaurin under the bus after one of the games, charged people to attend his draft party (how many prospects have done that?), retweets praise of himself on social media (how many QBs do that?) and was ignored by his teammates when he tried to lead them
  14. What is with this maturity at his age excuse? Look at Daniel Jones. The guy has not embarrassed his team on or off the field. The guy has come in Day 1, worked his ass off, has been the first guy in first guy out from the start and has earned the respect of his teammates. Giants fans have to feel good about him
  15. Talking about trading a QB with Jameis Winston level maturity issues, a CB that doesn't want to be here and is hurt all the time anyway and a 3rd for a guy who has been sneakily very good for the last few years without a great supporting cast. With Chase Young and shoring up the LBs & CBs, this team can compete in the playoffs next season with a good QB
  16. Would you guys take Stafford in exchange for Haskins, Dunbar and the 3rd? At 32, he has at least a few good years left assuming he stays healthy and he would be on a cap friendly deal as the Lions would eat a lot of the cap. He seems to be a good fit for an Air Coryell scheme
  17. Makes you like him even more that he has had to scratch and claw his way to prove himself in this league unlike a lot of these guys who were someone's brother or son
  18. He had what might have been a TFL and a couple other tackles as well.
  19. This is another reason we should switch to the 4-3. Both Kerrigan and Sweat are better pass rushers with their hands in the dirt. I get that we play in nickel much of the time but why not play in the 4-3 100% of the time. When you think about it, we finally have the personnel for the scheme with Allen out for a bit and, given we are light on DL depth right now, this would help that situation. DE: Sweat DT: Payne DT: Ioannidis DE: Kerrigan SLB: Anderson MLB: Bostic / SDH WLB: Holcomb / Harvey Clemons
  20. I thought I heard Cooley or someone else say he was out of position on a lot of the big Eagles runs
  21. This is the best and most realistic trade option for Doctson. We should trade him for someone who has busted on another team due to scheme fit or injury
