  1. Right now if Kool-Aid isn't there at 36, I'm almost of the opinion that we should trade down. This draft is so deep at WR and day 2 RT types (Paul, Rosengarten, Fisher, etc) that we could still get one after trading down. Arizona made a fantastic trade last year trading #33 for 41+72+future 3rd rounder from the Titans who took Levis. If Nix or Penix are there at 36/40, we could make a killing trading down. Considering the depth in this year's class, Carolina (whom is locked into taking a WR with either of their 2nd rounders) should do a similar trade down). Here are some examples of trades from last year in our range. 1). In 2023, Vegas traded 38+141 for 35 (Carolina has similar picks if they want to do something like that this year) 2). In 2023, Indy traded 38 for 44+110
  2. Oh, they are tanking for two mor years at least. That Knicks pick is top 8 protected in 2026.
  3. Yeah, but it's one thing with a Trey Smith type situation (where doctors were basically saying do not draft this player) and another with this type of situation. Plus, with the statements that he made during the draft process (his partying days were behind him) and he pulls this stunt? Can't trust someone like this. DQ & Peters are building an entire new roster have brought in a specific type of player in FA (Wagner, Ekeler, etc) who love football and are total pros. Plus, he's probably looking at a suspension on top of this I think.
  4. I'm not touching someone who is too stupid to use a ride-share. Now I know some players (like Dak) have been successful despite getting a DWI before the draft, but you can't take a player like in your first draft if you are Peters.
  5. Ok, he's off the draft board for me personally now.
  6. Thanks for the writeup GC. Yeah, I'm not sure who the first DB after the big 5 (Arnold, Mitchell, Wiggins, Dejean, Kool-Aid) is going to be. I'd rather have Lassiter than Rakestraw for sure however. From perusing Philly, it seems like Davis can't stay in shape. He should have came out and beasted in his 2nd year. Philly needs him & Carter to bring the wood. Cox retiring leaves a giant void in leadership for them. That's probably why they resigned Graham more than anything.
  7. I'm with you GC. I'm not forcing a pick at 36 & 40. Kool-Aid is my most realistic target at 36. I think he's a clear cut above any of the other likely remaining outside CBs. Still, I don't think he lasts till then because other teams will see the other deficiencies of the other CBs like Tampa. Then again, DQ has had success finding DBs like Bland way late in the draft. What are your thoughts on Lassiter? I know you follow Georgia big time. He has run slow during the draft prep, but he looks the part otherwise. Wilson is easily a top 20 talent, but the injury history scares me tremendously. Sweat's issue to me is purely a weight issue. Jordan Davis's struggles in the pros shows big concern as to whether you can draft someone like that.
  8. Th problem is that everyone lives in Nova. It would be a big ask to move everyone from Nova to PG.
  9. Yup. Philly took Embiid knowing he wasn't going to even play his rookie year. They were playing the long game. I can't see us going for immediate satisfaction over the best longterm answer.
  10. Yeah, I have Robinson gone in my scenario. I figure Robinson's range starts at Philly (22) all the way to Zona at 34. Right now I have roughly the top 35 going (in no particular order): QBs (5): Caleb, Drake, Jayden, JJ, Penix (someone (like Vegas) trades up for him) TE (1): Bowers WR (6): MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Thomas, Worthy, Mitchell OT (8): Alt, Fashanu, Fuaga, Fautanu, Latham, Mimms, Guyton, Morgan IOL (2): Barton, JPJ Edge (5): Turner, Verse, Latu, Chop, Robinson DT (2): Murphy, Newton LB (1): Cooper DB (5): Arnold, Mitchell, Wiggins, Dejean, Kool-aid Now, would some others potentially replace some (Ladd going instead of either Texas WR for example)? Certainly, but this is the range of players I have. For example, I think it's a given Carolina takes a WR at 33 considering NE and us could take one before their other 2nd. They will want their choice at that spot. I don't think I'm missing anyone from the top 35.
  11. Say all the big OL prospects are gone (Alt, Fuaga, Fashanu, Fautano, Mimms, Guyton, Barton, JPJ, and Morgan) and the big 5 DBs (Arnold, Mitchell, Wiggins, Dejean, Kool-Aid) before 36, who are you targeting GC? I'm almost considering trading down at 36 to acquire a pick in next year's draft (ideally a 3rd). WR is pretty deep this year. I don't love any of the secondary players after the big 5. Ditto the tackles. I figure 5 edges (Turner, Verse, Latu, Chop, Robinson) & two DTs (Murphy, Newton) are gone before 36 as well. Maybe someone trades up for Cooper (considered as LB1)? We all love Peyton Wilson's film, but his injury history makes him not draft able until mid to late 2nd IMO. Sweat looks the part, but his weight issues scare me IMO.
  12. I'm leaning towards your POV GC for this draft. If Jordan Morgan drops to 36, then fine draft him. I'm not trading up and sacrificing any of our 3rds to get a LT. Might as well sign a stopgap like DJ Humphries (whom Kliff knows) when he gets healthy or Donovan Smith to play LT this year. Next year's first is probably slotted to be either LT or edge IMO anyways. The one guy I can see as a boom/bust is Tez Walker. He's probably going to be there at 36 considering the big 4 WRs will be gone, and I see Worthy most likely going above him as well. I like Tez more than Mitchell honestly. Latu could also slip, but that's purely on medicals.
  13. I'm starting the think that NYG is going to take JJ if he's there at 6. Jones has had two serious neck injuries and is coming off an ACL. I think the cost is going to be 11+23+2025 1st to move up for Minnesota. Does Zona or the Bolts take that package? NYG might offer their 2nd (via Seattle)+6 to the Bolts to move up to 5 if Arizona stays at 4. Bolts gets MHJ or Nabers (whomever Arizona doesn't take) while NYG gets JJ.
  14. He's really good (unlike the former Wapo columnist LOL). He started off at draft network and ESPN poached him. Massive improvement over Todd McKshay (although Todd was entertaining on his podcast with Kiper). You can tell Reid is a grinder.
  15. Would you take Brooks with our first 3rd rounder if he fell and redshirt him basically?
  16. And yet Leonsis was too cheap to retain the coach who led the caps to that title.
  17. Well, we could hope the it ends up being AZ taking MHJ/Nabers and the Bolts taking whomever is left.
  18. Nice effort. Couple of thoughts. I can't see Kool-Aid being CB2. CB1 is going to be Arnold or Mitchell (and whomever isn't is CB2). The Jags signed Mitch Morse in FA, so C doesn't seem to be a viable option in R1. If Pittsburgh can't get Thomas in R1, I see them going either RT, C, or CB.
  19. Leonsis is far worse than Angelos. His recent actions regarding his greed and new stadium shows that. Angelos was never leaving Camden yards. Now, Angelos wasn't a great owner obviously, but I'd take him 1000X over Leonsis (by far and away the worst owner in the NBA). Leonsis just basically stole 70 million for the Wizards practice facility that was inadequate the day it was built. He's trying to leave after 5 years there. There are numerous accounts that I have posted on how much of a scumbag Leonsis is.
  20. Would rather take Blake Fisher at the top of the 3rd round.
  21. Maybe personally not (although the way he treated Buck & Phil screams volumes about his personal character IMO). Snyder got rightfully crucified for his treatment of Frank. Leonsis got nothing for how awful he was to Buck & Phil. There's too much smoke out there about how awful Leonsis really is. KD wouldn't even give the Wizards a meeting when he was a FA! That tells you how much of a joke he is to the rest of the NBA.
  22. Was it the lackluster combine? He's got short arms and didn't have an impressive weight-lifting session.
  23. I'm targeting Fisher or Rosengarten with out early 3rd. We got Morgan Moses with an early 3rd and I'm hoping history repeats itself.
  24. They couldn't keep KP. Once they traded Beal and did the rebuild, he was out. He would have opted out and gone to Utah if need be (they had the cap space). We did what we could. I didn't like trading Gafford initially, but I understand it. We're not resigning him in two years. Might as well get a 1st to look at instead. Look, the Wizards are basically an expansion team. Every other team in the NBA has a baseline of lotto picks and young talent. We don't. Because of Leonsis's pure idiocy of not trading Beal, we have nothing in terms of starting a rebuild. This is going to take 4-5 years at least. You wonder why Leonsis can't get his stupid arena? Because he's a complete moron. Who else authorizes selling of 2nd round picks for cash multiple times? You know Jordan Clarkson was drafted by the Wizards and sold to the Lakers for straight cash? You know Leonsis could have simply resigned Bogdan Bogdonovich instead of letting him go to Indiana? He was too cheap to pay the luxury tax. You know he got Bogdan because we wanted to lessen his tax burden (only time he's ever paid the tax) and traded away a first rounder that turned out to be Jarrett Allen? He's been sucking off the teat of tax-paying teams his entire tenure. Most despicable owner in the NBA by far. Worst production value from his stupid Monumental TV. Complete sycophants as his announcers (it was embarrassing listening to them try and prop up Johnny Davis last night). JUST SAY HE'S A BUST!!! Stupid superimposed ads on the court ruin the watching experience. They don't even broadcast the games fully. Instead, they have these stupid sideline interviews during the game. WHO CARES!!! You know our announcers are high up in the rafters calling the game because Leonsis is so greedy that he wanted more sellable court-side seats? Other team announcers clown the fact they have to sit up so high when doing Wizards games. You think the Celtics, Lakers, Heat, etc. are doing such things? Look how he treated Buck & Phil? Look how he's treated the longtime organist for the Caps. Look how he was too cheap to resign a coach who won the cup for him? He's an utter coward and worse than Snyder IMO. He took public money to build his stupid practice facility 5 years ago and it is wholly inadequate according to everyone. Look up David Aldridge's excellent article about it in the The Athletic. I root for everything despicable to happen to him. Most contemptible owner I've ever seen. Complete coward who won't do any interviews with anyone who isn't a toadie.
