I’m not for wasting draft capital on a qb until we’ve given Howell the keys. Not as long as we have 4 on the roster. 4s play is the ultimate luxury…a guy who knows his role, embraces it and plays like he’s just happy for the chance. He CAN direct the ship for a season…we have seen it. What we don’t know, and won’t until he’s given the opportunity NEXT year (don’t want him on the field at all if possible this season) is what can Sam Howell do if he’s better than 4 in camp. no draft capital on QB. Stack picks and continue to build depth at positions like lb, ol & cb. I absolutely do not want to have another draft pick sitting and developing right now. we use the 1st on a day 1 starter at a position of impact. I like LB here this year. We don’t have the luxury of a day 1 wait and see guy. Y’all can have the FL kid…I’ll gladly eat crow if he turns a franchise around before Sam Howell wins a playoff game.

Haven’t rewatched the game but that play did stand out to me in real time. Must’ve been a brain fart bc if he’s aware, a slight move and his momentum carry’s him in for the td

I think you hit the nail on the head here. 4 can’t afford to go out due to injury. He’s literally playing each game like it could be his last…to include not risking getting banged up and giving the coaches any reason to pull him

We’re ol depth and credible qb play away on offense. I wouldn’t dismiss our talent based on what 4 does running the offense. We can get ol talent thru the mid late rounds, udfa and fa. What we can’t do is get a game wrecker to add to a budding top tier defense cheaply unless we draft one. I’m looking impact from a player drafted in round 1. Someone that can come in day 1 and make a difference. A linebacker with no pressure to carry a defense but see ball chase ball would cement us as a perennial top 5 defense. A chess piece for JDR to utilize all over in an aggressive manner.

Would love to use one of our top 2 picks on a second level game wrecker. Really like the kid from Arkansas who seems to be physically gifted and was raised by a coach. Adding Chase Young and a freak at LB would make our young secondary look awfully good. I initially thought we may be able to get the kid with our 2 but if he shows in the combine like I think he will, he’ll settle into the 1st around where we pick. id take him with our mid first then do what we can to stack picks to build ol depth

His ceiling this year is situational pass rusher. He won’t be an everydown player this year. He’ll be put in situations where he’s set up for success to get his game legs. UNLESS he comes in and plays out of his mind, he’ll be situational chase this year. -
I’m casting my lot with Sam Howell. I’ve been a fan of his for a while. Love what he brings to the field. He’s sitting and learning this year. I honestly believe he could come in now and give us a huge lift based on physical ability alone, but we have to let 4 ride out the win streak. Sam’s gonna turn heads in camp. Mark this post.

Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas is a very intriguing, potential game wrecker type talent that we can get in rd 2 now that we have it.

Nice to know those days seem to be far in the rear view. lol…tho I bear the scars of those lean years as well

We need to resign Holcomb to replace Bostic as our “cerebral” vet. Draft a beast to hunt with Jamin this year. …a speedy yet very stout beast that loves to lay the wood.

Remember years ago when we were atrocious against the run…we signed 2 top tier FA DTs in Big Daddy Wilkinson and Dana Stubblefield? And we continued to be atrocious as those 2 guys did the old Beltway bandit routine of coming to Washington to get paid and nothing else? we now have our own home grown budding all pro DTs and running on us is folly. I’m having flashbacks to Mann, Manley, butz, grant. Absolutely love our homegrown turnaround. Homegrown talent up and down the roster. It has taken a tremendous amount of time; building the team through the draft has been a success. Love to see it

Pretty sure I’d be in the minority here but I’d role with a combo of the black unis as our primary…our alternates should be some combo of the b&g we have now. Throw out the white tops. Sell the heck out of the blacks and market our front four defensive players as the special forces or something. They’re the new hogs. Pay them…let’s stay in black, sever the chord but revisit with the b&g as alternates. Again…it’s my opinion which I totally expect to get trashed for lol -
This was a character win for us. We got punched in the mouth by their run game. That’s a fact. However, we didn’t allow that trend to infect the rest of what we were doing well. We completely made them 1 dimensional. Knowing that, Atl has a monster run game. We went the distance in a smash mouth slug fest and won. Character win. Statement win. Now…on to the giants…1 week at a time.

Meh…I like art. This is a piece of art. You like it or you don’t. That’s how art works, i looked at it and saw Sean. I liked the way it made me feel. I have a dog in the fight as well so I could easily hop on the bandwagon and say it sux. But it doesn’t to me. I’m retired man… don’t care what folks think of my opinion lol

17 is always open…even when he’s not, he’s open. Love that he’s one of ours -
Hopefully he’s hitting his stride come Paloffs and we really have what we thought. Then hopefully, he’ll ride the momentum of pt in 22 to a play and get paid season. I’m m excited about the prospects of that. We have to learn to trust in the development of our picks …we’ve been known to treat ours like pop tarts. The grass isn’t always greener and we have to start developing a rep for paying our guys… that’s winning culture
