2024 NFL Draft Position/Tracker - Final Pick #2
Stone Cold replied to zCommander's topic in The Stadium
In all fairness, you ain’t wrong. 😕 buttttt….from the looks of everything, it appears off-season plans are made. We don’t have anyone vying for bonus pay realistically. Annnnnd, we’re the get right team. I think we’re done. It shows and it’s not cool to see -
I hope he catches on somewhere. Guys like him round out great rosters

Tbh…fields in Atl with those weapons could be very scary if they figure it out. -

Perhaps the silver lining in this situation is a new GM/Coach will have an objective opinion. They won’t be married to any of the roster. So, if we stick with Howell, that’s a ringing endorsement from the decision makers. If we take a QB, it’ll be clear they are betting on draft day talent projection. Whatever they choose, I just want them to be right. -

I wonder if we’re basing Sam’s projection on performance or draft position? I mean to be honest, if we took Sam late in the 1st or even 2d rd, would we be satisfied with his performance this season? Or, is his performance this year close to who he’s gonna be? I don’t have the answer, but I do love me some Sammy Franchise. And I feel that a MHJr, some real protection, and an offense that features motion to scheme players open could be the recipe we’re missing -
Seem to recall him having problems with concussions here. He somehow managed to clean that up and had a good resurgence with Tennessee. Gone too soon. RIP

Pretty much right on target with my feelings as well. Gotta make sure we nail the value of that top 5 pick. -

The only moral victory to be had this season is to lose the rest of the games for the betterment of the franchise. Take it for the team fellas! -
He may be respectful at G…I haven’t seen him play there enough to make that call. I just think it’s bad business to keep overpaid talent based on salary alone. I’d rip off the bandaid and draft his replacement. We can also sign depth via udfa and free agency. We’re well under the cap. Sending him packing and signing a replacement sends a winning message. Keeping him bc he’s potentially good depth at that price tag keeps us a middling franchise.

I know this wasn’t directed at me, but I just couldn’t resist…these Pros get paid to perform…not to be nice guys. And it’s definitely a performance driven league. I have no desire to see Wylie suck at another position when we have the ability to replace him. We’ll have plenty of cap space…eating his dead money is more than marginally bette than hangin on to him. If we’re that desperate next season that we need a stiff, I’m sure he’ll be available…can’t see him gettin run anywhere at this point in his career.

Addition by subtraction is a very real thing. Half a mil to sign an udfa will do just fine in his stead imo

What example are you setting as new leadership when you allow an obvious talent albatross to collect a check? We have to reset the talent floor while simultaneously accumulating top tier talent. If done right, what’s currently our top tier talent will organically shift to our middle while pushing the existing floor out. We are talent starved and no talent having vets should seek greener pastures elsewhere

If Wylie gets to walk back into the training complex after this season, I’ll be really upset. That dude could literally be replaced by a traffic cone

The pipes burst at fedex and completely water damage all the suites in the stadium -
You don’t become a successful billionaire by keeping people around you that you like. RR is a likable man on the surface…but he’s an absolute football dinosaur. the nfl is not the nfl of the 2000s…much less the 90s. It’s not even the same language or concepts anymore. I fully anticipate Harris, having already hired an analytics guru, to go after the smartest youngster in the room….whoever his folks tell him that is.

I’d absolutely love to have pitts. Especially if it meant we didn’t have to spend a 1st rounder on bowers. Atl is really wasting some top tier offensive talent on a horrible offensive scheme. pitts & Harrison, and a revamped ol would completely change the dynamic of our offense

I’m not married to anyone on the defense. Tbh, I’m only married to Sam rn and his cheap contract the next two years. Far as I’m concerned, no one else is untouchable. I feel like when everything is finally settled and in place, the toxicity of the franchise will be a distant memory. To do that, everything must go
-
Huge Sam supporter here. Been known to call him Sammy Franchise. I believe with him and his contract, we can attack the other many positions of need. I love playmakers in the 1st rd. If we can get Harrison or bowers then attack ol id be happy. Bottom line…we have Sam for a cheap 2 more years….build around him and see what happens. If it doesn’t work out after 2 seasons, we move on with a budding nucleus a la sf

Wylie is worse than Shar Pourdanesh ever was. If Andy Reid offers us anything, when are we gonna learn lol. That guy has been making our FO his b1tch for 20 years
