  1. I would trade the whole team minus Wall for Dwight. And fill the roster will min players.
  2. Well Thomas is tiny and McGee shoulda had him pinned under the rim. To be knocked off balance by a tiny PG is embarassing. McGee has to hit the weight room especially his legs.
  3. It is effort for Wall on defense he dogs it. When he wants to guard he can very well. All the coaches wanna do is yell run run like we are track team leading to more TO's. That alot of why we don't defend we are basically playing park basketball. The offensive sets suck. These guys don't even know how to stop the ball there rotations are so screwed up, can't defend the pick&roll. I'd bet anything with a coach like Carlisle, Thibs, JVG this team would win 10 more games. The offensive sets are organized, they get you into good plays out of timeouts to stop the bleeding. There guys understand rotations and force the ball to help. What we have right now is no strict defensive system in place. We have alot of run run and 1 on 1 ISO's as the base of our offense.
  4. We need a no BS defensive minded vet coach, i'm telling you guys that alone will improve this team alot. But getting one to take on these ragtags is the bigger problem.
  5. I agree but he is still a scorer that can shoot the wide open 3 on the break two areas we struggle at already and need help. I don't think he will get offered any more then he makes now and he can eventually move to 6th man. Now don't get me wrong if we can upgrade the 2 with a high quality free agent i'm all for it. But at this point we need 2 starting front court players and that should be the focus. Sullinger is about to play right now on espn. And at 9pm is the big showdown everyone has been waiting for Anthoney Davis vs Arnett Moultrie
  6. I can understand everybodys frustration with NY but trust me it could be alot worse. He still leads the team in scoring and is the only guy that can hit a 3 ball. Scoring and 3 point shooting are the 2 biggest things we need this offseason letting him go compounds the problem even more.. If its a decent deal i'd bring him back its 1 less hole to fill. We have bigger issues to fill this offseason in the frontcourt.
  7. This team needs a coach in the worst way. That 3rd quarter in my opinion was on the coaches you gotta be able to settle your guys down and draw up good sets in your time outs. I'm fine with our backcourt and i'd bring NY1 back on a similiar contract money wise. Sure when he is off he kinda goes into a shell but the coach needs to encourage him and run plays for him to keep him involved. Crawford at this point is fine as well and if he can fix his shot selection he can be a good piece. We lack 3 point shooters and scorers in genearl we can't let NY1 leave because its creating another big hole. Now if we can attract a good free agent like Batum,Gordon or Harden for a few million extra per year then by all means let him go. I'd still take Lamb over Beal 7 days a week his lenght is a nightmare defensively and he shoots a high percentage. He can be run off screens shooting off the dribble. He can spotup and nail 3's and he was clutch for UConn in that tourney run late in games on both ends. But I honestly don't think we need to be drafting either this draftpick has to be a frontcourt player. Either a sweet shooting 3 or a big 4. When I see 3rd quarters like last night it woulda been nice to have somebody like Sully to throw the ball to on the block to get a good shot. My list Davis Sully Robinson Barnes MKG We need one of them. Barnes is growing on me and he is only playing 26mpg and putting up good numbers imagine if he was playing 32-35mpg like most.
  8. Vesely is really a 3 in my opinion anyway. He defends the perimeter screen game very well and can stay in front of wings. The problem is he can't shoot but atleast he is'nt playing outside of his ability jacking shots. I think he will get more comfortable with time but he understands the game and knows how to play. He also plays hard all the time giving effort. We need more players like Jan in that regard. We have to draft guys that understand basketball like Davis, Sully, Barnes etc. I think we should hold onto NY1 as well he is'nt gonna get no huge offer from anybody. He is the only legit 3 point shooter and scorer we have so we let him walk when thats our biggest weakness to me that compounds the problem. I'm fine with our backcourt rotation we need to spend our energy in the frontcourt i'd say a 4 is our #1 need right now followed by a shooting wing. I'd love to see a combination of Ryan Anderson in free agency and Barnes/MKG in the draft. Or Batum in free agency and Sully/Robinson in the draft. I'm a huge Ryan Anderson fan and with him being 23 the sky is the limit. The kid shoots lights out sure he gets open looks but so do guys on this team. His rebounding will go up without Dwight and he can really spread the floor.
  9. The triangle would be a horrible fit for Wall. They stand around because the offensive sets are unorganized and the coaches allow them to play 1 on 1 and shotjack early in the clock. This team flatout recieves piss poor coaching and would do alot better under a vet organized coach like Sloan or Van Gundy. We need a coach that will run a pick&roll, high ball screen heavy offense. We ran high ball screens like crazy againest Portland not sure why we did so much only in that game but that needs to happen more often.
  10. Batum defends really well. I'd like to see us take a look at him and/or Harden/ Gordon. Batum would look real nice playing the 3 for us. What up with all the high ball screens seems like one of the coaches been reading my post? That is such a advantage when you got a super quick PG it really stresses a defense.
  11. I like McGee FOR HIS POTENTIAL i'd like to keep him or atleast sign and trade him. I'm just a oldschool purist I grew up playing the right way. McGee has all the athletism in the world, its off the charts his lenght, jumping ability, speed etc for a guy his size its very tantalizing and rare. But he just don't understand the game at all. His post defense could be better if he would develop a stronger base. But his pick&roll defense, switches, awarness etc is awful. He don't even completely show half the time to stop the ball its laughable.
  12. Because Seraphin atleast can hold his ground, block shots without leaving his feet getting out of position for rebounds. He understands how to switch, stop the ball and play screen and rolls. Defense is so much more then block shots and goaltends. I like McGee but lets be honest there is no substance to his game he is all flash.
  13. McGee is a horrible defender overall I don't know how anyone that watches every game can argue that. Sure he has a OMG did you see that block and is among the league leaders in blocks but thats because he chases everything. And i'd be willing to bet he probably leads the league in goaltending as well. Watch him on screen and rolls, rotations and switches he don't he even hold the man he will flash for a split second and retreat like a dummy. He is a split second late all the time like he is still thinking and not playing. Seraphin and Turiaf are better defenders then McGee right now. Thats why he was playing so much last week when McGee was getting jerked early. I think he will sign the 1 year deal like Nick because nobody is gonna offer him big money and if they do we can match or workout a sign&trade. McGee has to get a stronger base he gets pushed around way to much. I think a vet coach like Van Gundy could bring out the best in McGee.
  14. Gracie said flatout no rematch on the ticker. Nick is a different breed though he might try to be a hardhead and act like he is gonna retire. But he eventually will fight again he is to young and the money is alluring.
  15. I hate to say it but McGee is just a dumb basketball player. That to me is very surprising growing up in a basketball family he just does'nt know how to play. He is a incredible athlete with so much potential but does'nt understand the game. McGee needs to stay in the weight room this summer. I think he also needs to try to develop a mid range jumper so he can have a faceup game. Those fadeaway skyhooks gotta go. And most important we need a vet coach with a heavily based pick&roll offense that will teach these guys how to play team defense. They don't even stop the ball thats rule #1 the hell with the kickout that video posted earlier is a perfect example.
  16. PATHETIC. A people say we don't need Anthoney Davis lmfao. We need him and more this team is pathetic at both ends of the floor. I have'nt seen a guy control the paint the way Davis does in years. I can't wait for the matchup between him and Moultrie in a couple weeks. I'd be willing to bet that we could take Doron Lamb, MKG, Terrence Jones and Davis with Wall and win more games then this ragtag bunch we got. Kentucky has atleast 5 1st round picks on that team its crazy how much talent they have. I look forward to watching them tommorow night after Sully plays MSU. Barnes had a ridiculus 2nd half tonight.
  17. I like Beal as well but he does'nt really have proto-typical 2 guard size. He also has more flaws in his game then somebody like Lamb defintely a lottery pick though. Lamb just creates offensively and defensively with that 7-1 wingspan is a nightmare. He shoots 48% fg and 35% 3's both his years in college which is damn good and consistent for a 2 guard. Kentuckys Lamb is the darkhouse he is picking up steam and may move into the lottery as well. He has a sweet stroke and is just getting better everytime I watch them. MKG put the brakes on Beal last night. Beal has some good plays but he struggled overall. Tonight has 3 more really good games on espn/espn2
  18. Lamb played very well last year for a freshman and honestly hit some clutch shots for that team in the tourney without his defense and clutch shots they don't win it. Lamb is a coaches son just like Sully I love that because they understand how to play. Lamb has a good 3 ball and can create for himself off the dribble. He has legit 2 guard height with a 7-1 wingspan the guy can really lockdown on defense. He constantly moves without the ball and does'nt watch. He is really a complete 2 guard he can shoot, pass, rebound and plays defense. If we let Young go we have to seriously consider him. My biggest knock on Lamb is his frame he will always be skinny but he plays with good strenght. And he has been alittle bit of a shot jacker this year. MKG and Barnes are 3's they can't play 2 guard in the NBA. Barnes has a weak handle and don't distribute and can't laterally keep up on defense. MKG can guard either position but his outside shot needs work and his game is suited for the frontcourt.
  19. Swap Beal for Lamb and thats my exact top 6 right now. I've watched quite a bit of Carolina this year and Barnes scares me. He has argueably been the 3rd best player on his own team. But he is'nt playing but like 26mpg. He won't be a superstar I'd think best case he can be a Danny Granger type player. He will be a good 3rd option on a very good team. The problem I have is we need a guy that can take over a game be a legit superstar. A guy you can give the ball to in crunch time and he can create his own shot. I don't even think Barnes is averaging 1 apg. Wall did this last night but he is'nt that type of alpha scorer and needs a legit dominant running mate. Thomas Robinson has been fantastic but he did'nt do nothing his 1st 2 years hardly got to play. I know he was behind the Morris twins but what have they done this year? I like kids that come in and play well as a true freshman like Sullinger, Barnes,Lamb,MKG,Beal and Davis this year. My pipedream would be to trade McGee+ whoever else they wanted or possibly up to 3 1st rounders for Howard. Put Howard with Wall and some shooters with a great coach that team could do damage.
  20. I agree a GSP 5 round wrestling clinic. I watched the fight again SU and I still gave Nick 1,2 and 5 but that fight could have went either way for sure. Every judge and person looks for different things.
  21. Your right Anderson is a way more accurate and has way more tools in his toolbag. But Daleys left hand might be most brutal in all of MMA and Diaz just kept eating them and coming back for more until he ko'd Daley. Not many guys beat Daley playing his game. Diaz just does'nt quit. I thought for sure Daley was gonna KO him those shots were brutal. I personally would love to see them fight. Thats the reason I like Nick he could have very easily just subbed but he did'nt play it safe.
  22. He wants to bang so give him somebody that wants to standup with him. Nick has fought at 185 before and other then Chael or GSP laying on him thats the most exciting matchup for me other then Anderson at 205 with Bones. Nick has a hellva alot better chin then Forrest. He took some massive shots from Daley who's left hand is a freaking cannon and finished him standing. Not saying Nick can win but i'd pay to watch and would'nt completely count him out.
  23. LOL, He actually stood up alittle with those guys he put Koz to death with his jab and Fitch was knocked all over the ring. But he did'nt fear eithers standup game. And as much as I like BJ he just don't have any cardio to fight more then 1-2 good rounds. I like GSP he used to be my favorite fighter but he just does'nt finish guys that he should. And he won't stand with Carlos or Nick. GSP just does'nt have that killer instinct to finish fights, he plays it safe. I think GSP has great standup and it sucks we rarely get to see much of it anymore. I'd like to see Diaz vs Anderson at 185
