  1. GSP is gonna dry hump him for 25 minutes.
  2. I had it the exact same way. Honestly I'd rather it been a draw and just let them fight again. Dana said he gave 1,2 to Diaz but not 5 lol. It just sucks GSP will dry hump Condit for 25 minutes. Atleast with Diaz he is a major threat off his back.
  3. He was trying to cut off the cage and walk him down. Condit just followed his game plan and ran out back to the center everytime he got close to the cage. It was much like Edgar againest BJ quick combos then run. I've sparred with guys that did'nt wanna exchange it sucks chasing a guy around to try to bang and you can never get off because of it. The only thing Diaz could have done to prevent that was tie him up and dirty box. Condit was running around the cage you can't cut that off.
  4. x2 that was my score card as well. I personally just hate guys that come into a fight with the intent to win a decision. People can say what they want but Carlos hit and ran all night to me thats not a fighter. That is a guy trying to win a decision like a B_____. He was scared to go to the ground, scared to exchange and scared to try to finish the fight like a real fighter. He did what he had to do to try to win but the scoring system needs to be fixed in my eyes the more aggressive guy should be awarded. Diaz was stalking him trying to cut off the ring all he did was keep running around I'm willing to bet he ran over a mile in that fight. Now we get to watch GSP dry hump him for 5 rounds.
  5. x2 I gave Diaz 1,2 and 5. Dana said he gave him 1,2 and Condit 3,4,5 I don't know how anyone did'nt give Diaz 5.
  6. Dana just said he gave Diaz rounds 1,2 and Condit 3,4,5. I gave Nick 1,2,5 how the hell does anybody give round 5 to Condit. Dana just said maybe Diaz vs Koschek LOL
  7. I gave 1,2 and 5 to Nick. Carlos ran that whole fight. For Nick thats gotta be frustrating as well. Did Nick smack Carlos with a open hand after cussing him to fight in rd2 or 3? It looked like it I almost cracked my side laughing. Nick has really grown on me and has become my favorite fighter after retiring my favorite. I love guys like BJ and Nick because they wanna fight period.
  8. I love Sullinger he understands how to play and thats big especially on a team like the Wiz. Its another reason I like Davis so much as well. If you watch the way they move to get position they never just watch like most bigs especially when shots go up. Sully in particular is just so good at getting position and useing his body. I don't think he will measure well but his arms look super long to me. To me he is the type of brute we need in the halfcourt game and being a coaches son is always a plus. Sully plays defense well he just does'nt leave his feet playing position defense. On this team with McGee that will be big allowing him to play weakside help getting blocks. I loved Mike Sweetney as well but I'm a huge Georgetown homer. I think Sully is a better prospect then he was and thats saying alot Sweets was a monster his last year. Just watching Davis now damn he would be so nice running the break with JWall. I'm not sure we would draft Sully though. It seems Ted and EG wanna run like crazy but at some point we gotta be able to play halfcourt offense. Teams are forced to run halfcourt sets in the playoffs. ---------- Post added February-5th-2012 at 12:06 AM ---------- Davis is a freaking monster he just dominates the paint on both ends. He is about to break the block record as a freshman with another 2 months left in the season. He has 5 already in the first half today he needs 2 more I believe to break the record.
  9. Sullinger played big today he had 24 and 10 with 5 offensive boards. Watching Barnes now
  10. Thats a random 2 min clip with missed long jump shots and a FT. To me a guy who can't shoot does'nt even attempt long jump shots especially off the dribble. This kids upside is off the charts in my eyes. Today is a great college basketball day to watch alot of the top prospects on ESPN. Sullinger and OSU is playing Wisconsin right now 4pm Barnes and UNC vs Maryland 6pm Davis and Kentucky vs South Carolina 9pm Robinson and Kansas vs Missouri- This should be a great game
  11. I don't care what a ragtag scouting service says half of them are hacks or college students anyway. Not sure what you guys are watching, did you watch his video's in that link I posted? A guy who can't shoot does'nt drain 3's off the dribble. Even in that link you posted his video from Kentucky look at his ability to beat his man off the dribble and handle the ball. Watch the way he moves to get position when the ball goes up. This kid is a bigtime talent that rarely comes along. He will be a defensive force, imagine as he gets older and fills out. People are failing to realize the offense at Kentucky does'nt ask him to shoot jumpers from the elbow. The kid is shooting 65%fg who cares if its dunks or putbacks obviously teams can't stop it. He only averages 7 shots a game anyway because that team is so talent ridden. The guy is putting up 13ppg 10reb 4.5blks at 18 years old on the most talent rich team in the country.
  12. You guys fail to realize he is playing within the system at Kentucky with a bunch of gifted players. He is asked to play the block period. Go watch his video's in this link from high school. He handles the ball like a guard and hit multiple 3's off the dribble, not just spotting up. http://nbadraft.net/players/anthony-davis We won't get the first pick anyway but this kid will be a star especially defensively. I would trade Wall for him straightup in a heartbeat.
  13. Lamb will be a 2 guard Steve because of that narrow frame much like Rip Hamilton. He is way better off the dribble and a much better long ball shooter then Hamilton ever was. Lamb has very long arms and can be a defensive force as well. If Young is let go you gotta look at him hard. Barnes I think will be a solid pro much like Sully. They both understand how to play but niether will be superstars probably #2 or very good # 3 options on championship caliber teams. They will probably average around 15-18ppg much like there college production. MKG will be a proto-typical NBA 3 in my opinion just like Barnes. I'd eat some salary much like Cleveland did in the Baron Davis deal to get another top 10 lottery pick. That pick ended up being Kyrie Irving how lucky Cleveland got in that deal. This years draft is really top heavy compared to years past. I'd hate adding 2 more rookies plus our 2nd rounder but we can also draft guys that know how to play and not athletes.
  14. Davis is far and away my #1 overall by a mile. As of right now overall #1- Davis #2- Kidd-Gilchrist #3- Sully #4- Barnes #5- Lamb #6- Robinson #7- Drummond on upside and size alone he has alot of work to do. I see know way we pick any lower then that, hopefully everybody comes out this year because it killed last years draft with everybody going back to school. I'd say we will pick in the #4-#6 area just our luck. This team needs a young big shooter like Ryan Anderson he will be a free agent after next year at just 24 years old and is steadily improving putting up 17 and 7 while shooting 3's like a mad man. Looks like the same player from college and could really fit in with Wall. Would be nice to have a offensive Jamison type big to play with Wall. Depending on who our new coach is if its a guy like JVG or Sloan i'd lean toward drafting Sully if its not #1 overall. He knows how to play the game, sets very good screens and can be a perfect pick&roll player with Wall. He can also go down in the post and bully his way to the rim. If Young is let go we almost certainly will have to get Barnes or Lamb. I actually think Barnes will be a better 3 but can play the 2 in spots. Lamb will be a 2 that can steal minutes at the 3 because of his long arms. Even with NY coming back and Barnes at the 3 it could really improve us offensively.
  15. I like his game I actually watched a good portion of it. But he won't be a top 5 pick and there is speculation he is barely 6-7 if true will drop his stock somewhat. I'd still take quite a few guys over him at this point and we will have a top 5 pick. I just finished the G-Town-UConn game. I don't care for Drummond he looks like a chubby lazy turd this is the 3rd time i've seen him and he does nothing for me. Henry Sims was balling on him. And Lamb was horrible tonight throwing up airballs just look like he was in full shot jacker mode. Thats the worst i've seen Lamb play but GTown will defend especially Clark.
  16. Gator, It's not that Gay is a bad player I like his game. But I would'nt trade a top 5 pick for Gay thats crazy unless they took back the same salary. There are guys outta there in free agency that can help this team and we will have a boatload of capspace. James Harden Eric Gordon Nicholas Batum and a slew of other players. The point is you give me 1 of those guys plus my top 5 pick instead of Gay. To trade for Rudy you wanna give up capspace plus a top 5 pick, no way, not even EG would do that lol atleast I hope not. At this point i'm not sold Wall is the #1 option to lead this team that guy might still need to be found with Wall playing 2nd fiddle. I hope i'm wrong but Wall can't shoot or take care of the ball its been that way the last 3 years even at Kentucky and its not improving. Can he improve it who knows but at this point its not looking good. Ted, better hire a vet coach that will make him take care of the ball preferably in a heavy pick&roll system like JVG or Sloan. I'd rather use Walls athletism in the halfcourt slicing a defense then running down court like speed racer turning the ball over or missing layups. I've never seen a player miss as many layups as he does its mind boggling. A bigtime scorer can get away with turnovers but not your point guard thats not a bigtime scorer. I love Walls potential but he has serious holes in his game and needs a respected, smart, winning coach to put him in positions to succeed.
  17. Its the system he is in at Kentucky that team is stacked. If you go and watch his video's from the last few years of high school you will see. He was beating guys off the dribble, pullup jumpshots, shooting 3's off the dribble. He was a wing anyway that hit a huge growth spurt. His defense will be so impactful for a team they would be foolish to pass on him #1 overall. I don't think we will luck into the #1 pick anyway so its a pipedream for me. I'm just hoping for a top 5 pick and I don't want no athletic freaks like PJ3. I'd rather have a solid fundamentally sound player who knows how to play basketball like Sully or Barnes.
  18. Cleveland got the # 1 pick Steve but it was'nt there pick it was the clippers pick 8th that won the lottery. They got it for taking on Baron Davis. Clevelands pick fell to 4th in the lottery.
  19. I hope thats not for a title shot? Diaz does'nt deserve it he is 5-5 in his last 10 fights and the Cerrone win was the only one that impressed me. He has been beaten by gatekeepers like Guida,Stevenson etc.
  20. Batum wants to much money although he would be a nice addition. I'd personally rather have a all around talent like James Harden who OKC won't be able to afford.
  21. Actually JVG will run Wall off pick&rolls constantly which is gonna kill a defense when he develops a better jumper that is playing to his strenghts. They will also play team defense you ever thought thats why the games are low scoring because his teams force you to use up the shotclock. We don't need Wall trying to play at a breakneck speed running & gunning because it leads to turnovers especially with him. He needs a pick&roll heavy offense that will allow him to attack the rim and put enourmous pressure on the defense. He needs a coach that will make these guys play the right way. Its pretty damning when Whittman after being named coach says Wall needs to be coachable. Why is he going after him? I don't care if your John Wall if your not playing hard and listening to your coach sit your ass on the bench, period. He has been playing alot harder recently especially on defense but he was dogging it alot on defense earlier this year.
  22. I'd want a proven winner that brings structure and preaches defense. A pick&roll heavy offense would be my preference and soon as Wall can hit that jumper it would be deadly. I'd say Jeff Van Gundy should top the list. I'd also seriously consider Sloan because of the structure he brings although he is old, his teams win games and competes they always have very organized sets. I think he has had like 1 losing season the last 25 years which is insane. Those are the 2 best coaches available by a mile. I would'nt go with a asisitant coach this team needs a proven coach with a structured system that will bench them bums in a heartbeat for lack of effort. ---------- Post added January-24th-2012 at 10:34 PM ---------- WOW from our new coach.. Whitman is emphasizing "up-tempo." He wants to use PT as a reward for "playing the right way, " but he acknowledges that, with 8 players, that guys will get minutes. The Sampler specifically cited Wall for sometimes playing out of control on fast breaks. He also said that "Wall has to be willing to be coached"(!). ---------- Post added January-24th-2012 at 10:35 PM ---------- WOW from our new coach.. Whitman is emphasizing "up-tempo." 23. You really need 2 legit all stars to be a very good basketball team. Lets just say we take your idea and trade our likely top 3 pick plus a boatload of cap space for Rudy Gay. Does that make us a legit playoff threat a team that could do damage? No it does'nt and it will probably have you picking late lottery to mid 1st round the next season where the picks are really hit or miss. Now you've just hamstring this team into being average for a long time with no real ability to improve but thru trades. McGee is gonna need to be paid he is a RFA. I'd much rather have Anothney Davis and go sign someone like James Harden then to take on Rudy Gays enormous contract and give away my top 3 pick. As this team shows promise players will want to come. And Sloan or JVG pick&roll and structure would make this team leaps and bounds better with the same team.
