  1. He is nothing like Iggy at all except rebounding and defense. Iggy is a point forward that can handle and distribute. MKG is a horrible fit for this team. And this is coming from a guy who told you guys months ago that Davis was the sure fire 1st pick got blasted by some. Got blasted for saying i'd trade Wall for him in a heartbeat. And I believe one of the only other guys who was touting MKG at that time was Steve. I've been on his bandwagon for awhile but its a horrible horrible fit blame it on Grunfeld. Just look at this roster and please tell me how in the world MKG is gonna help? You can't have a guy like Wall who can't shoot a lick surrounded by guys who can't shoot a lick its horrible. To take advantage of Walls strenght as a passer we gotta have guy who can knockdown spot up jumpers, period. PG- Wall- Mack OG- Crawford SF-MKG-Singleton-Vesely PF-Booker C-Nene-Seraphin That would be a assembled pile of steaming elephant dung. Who on that team can shoot? You got 40%fg shooters in the backcourt You got 3 Sf's that can't shoot a lick but can play defense You have no true PF on the roster You have no true 2 guard on the roster How in the world does that make sense at all?
  2. On this team it would be. Not only that but his ballhandling has gotten overrated by alot of people. Most of his points came in transition, off rebounds and he does have a nice postup jumphook. But he was posting guys much smaller I highly doubt he can postup succesfully on the block in the NBA. I have him ranked #2 overall I like his game but he is limited by his shot. The kid has everything you want hustle, smarts, grit, rebounding etc. In a way he is alot like Vesely except he rebounds alittle better. Same kind of smart, hustle guy who does the dirty work and plays the right way.
  3. Your thinking big, lower the standards alittle. MKG will be a Loul Deng type player without the 3 point shot. A glue type of player that does all the little things. I like him but he is'nt enough of a upgrade over Singleton and Vesely defensively that i'd pick him. If we are drafting a Sf after spend 2 first round picks on them last year then i'll take Barnes for this current group. I don't know how many assist Wall could have had if guys could just knockdown spot up jumpers. MKG on the this team how its currently constructed does'nt help this team out. In my opinion if your PG can't shoot you damn sure better have swingmen that can or serious stretch shooting bigmen.
  4. Because that guy getting drafted a #3 is'nt a sure fire better player then the #2 ranked guy at his position. Beal is'nt a top 3 pick in any draft and I think Lamb and Rivers will be better NBA players. Lamb is getting knocked this year because he settled for way to many 3's because teams were doubling and trapping him. I bet Beal never saw that wonder why because he can't create? Lamb last year as a freshman was the one hitting clutch shots and playing lockdown defense when Kemba was the one attracting all the attention on there way to the national championship. Lamb has 2 knocks on him his weight but he is extremely long armed and a good defender. And he can get his shot on anybody with his disgusting crossover and quickness but he settles in the lane for to many pullups instead of finishing at the rim getting to the line more. TRob- It makes the most sense because we don't have a true PF anywhere on our roster. I like Sullinger more but to each there own. MKG- I love his intangibles but his shot is horrible and his handles are ok and being overrated by alot of people. Most of his scoring came from transition or posting up with his lil jumphook. I can see Barnes being a better NBA Sf very easily. Barnes is a good defender and much better offensive threat with a larger frame then MKG.
  5. Sounds to me that Teddy might like TRob if you read into that articule above.
  6. These are clearly my ideas with Teddy saying in the articules above he don't wanna be in the lottery anymore. Wizards trade Rashard Lewis Blatche # 3 Houston trades Louis Scola Kevin Martin Kyle Lowery #14 #16 Lowery wants out and would be a great backup PG. Martin has another year left on his deal and can jump right into the 2 spot. Scola gives us a smart vet like Nene at the 4. Lineup PG- Wall- Lowery- Mack OG- Martin- Crawford SF- Singleton- Vesely PF- Scola- Booker C- Nene- Seraphin NBAdraft.net still has Rivers available at 14 and draftexpress at 12. At #14 and #16 you can still get 2 very good players say Zeller/Henson and a guy like Rivers/Waiters. That is a playoff team in the East without even adding those picks.
  7. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wizards-insider/post/thomas-johnson-would-have-an-interest-in-playing-for-the-wizards/2012/05/31/gJQAPXfX5U_blog.html http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wizards-insider/post/ted-leonsis-i-dont-want-to-be-in-the-lottery-anymore/2012/05/31/gJQAUHHT4U_blog.html?wprss=rss_wizards-insider two very interesting articules.
  8. It don't even really have to be both picks but i'd jump all over that. It could be the exclusive rights to Batum+ #6 they don't want to pay him anyway and can draft a replacement at #11. I'd love to pry Klay Thompson from Golden st I wish we drafted him last year. I think the first 4 picks in some order will be Davis Drummond TRob MKG I think Barnes goes #5 they need a Sf and seem fine in the backcourt If it was both picks we got i'd look at #6- Beal/Lamb #11-Sullinger/Henson/Zeller #32- Hollis Thompson legit SF size, great shot, good defense very underrated #46- Scott Machado Very good pass first with good ast/TO ratio and improved 3pt shot over 40% a great backup PG I sure remember getting ragged on last year over Kawhi Leonard but look how that has turned out. If we took him or Thompson last year this team would be in whole lot better shape right now.
  9. I still think Drummond goes #2 but if he don't thats our meal ticket to trade back with a team like Portland. This draft after Davis the players are so closely rated a team like Portland is in the perfect spots #6+ #11 to get extreme value. I can very easily see the guys getting picked after #5 being better then the top 5 picks in fact I rate some of them higher already.
  10. Beal is'nt worth the 3rd pick and he is'nt a top 4 player in this draft. Honestly I like Lamb more and Rivers to me has way more offensive upside then Beal. Lamb,Barnes, Sully are gonna be great picks in the middle of this lottery for some team. If i'm forced to pick at #3 without knowing any trades or free agent signings then reluctantly i'd take TRob and pray he is'nt a 1 year wonder but I prefer trade down. If he plays like he did this season you got a monster. I hate how much he turns the ball over for a big but he adds something this team lacks a bulldog down low and on the boards that can run like a deer and finish on the break.
  11. Barnes is a proto-typical NBA SF more so then even MKG who is 2" shorter. I like the Barnes comparisons with Glen Rice honestly both have sweet strokes spotting up. Barnes needs work off the dribble but is a better finisher and defender by a mile then Rice was. Barnes is much better earlier on then Rice was he did'nt really develop until his junior year. If we stuck at # 3 very doubtful then make the pick whoever you like but somebody will wanna move up for Drummond/TRob or MKG. If we can get a good starter + a top 10 pick then i'd do it in a heartbeat. If Portland offered #6+#11 for #3 i'm all over that or even the rights to Batum+#6 thats a easy decision. If GS offers Klay Thompson+#7 i'm all over that.
  12. Did watch both closely a huge difference? For one Sully has dominated from day 1 and is much more skilled on the block with multiple low post moves. Sully also has a very good pick&roll game and nails high elbow jumpers and if that was'nt enough the kid has developed a damn good 3 point shot for a PF. And May was derailed by microfracture surgery early in his 2nd season after showing some signs his rookie year and dominating the summer league. He was actually playing pretty well in his 2nd season before the injury getting some starts I wanna say he was averaging like 12ppg 8reb or so but i'd have to look to be sure. I'm not advocating at all Sully at #3 but i'd love to have him after a trade down.
  13. The problem is MKG might not end up better then Barnes. Its very possible Barnes ends up better both defend but Barnes will score. Beal- I honestly like Lamb way more and could see Rivers being better as well. The value of this draft is mid lottery the difference between a guy going at #2 vs #7 is minimal at best. If I can aquire a asset to move down i'm damn sure doing it. Not only that but when workouts start alot of peoples boards will get flipped around. I rank guys based on what I watch myself not what Chad Ford spews, highlight videos or postseason workouts. TRob- I could very easily see Sullinger/Zeller/Henson being better its not far fetched. People can hate on Sullinger all they want because he is a plodder but that kid is a throwback oldschool bigman who can shoot, pass, rebound and play outside or inside. You can tell watching him he is a coaches son the kid is so fundamental and showed his dedication getting in shape this year and becoming a good 3 point shooter. To many of you guys just like Grunfeld get hung up on run/jump workout warriors. Sully is gonna bang on you all game.
  14. Vesely is a Sf nothing in his game translates to Pf. He is a Jared Jeffries type with crazy athletism. He defends the perimeter very well getting deflections and playing the screen roll game. If he can learn to shoot he is a monster at Sf because of his defense, hustle and intangibles. Vesely will never gain weight to play Pf for anything more then spot minutes. His height, skillset and frame are much moresuited to being a wing. This needs shooters period. I'm not drafting any more guys who can't shoot unless we make some trades to construct this team differently.
  15. I love MKG's intangibles and he is my #2 ranked prospect but why in the world would anybody want him on the Wizards? That is about the only guy with a shot uglier then Walls on a team in need of pure shooters. He is a SF where we just spent 2 first round picks on that position in last years draft with Singleton and Vesely. So we got 3 SF's that can play defense and have good intangibles but can't shoot a lick makes 0 sense. I will be shocked if Beal goes top 3 matter of fact i'm willing to sig bet anything he does'nt he is getting so over hyped right now. The top 4 in my opinion are stone cold locks in some kinda order. Davis Drummond TRob MKG After those 4 I could easily see Barnes going over Beal. And honestly I would'nt be shocked to see Barnes climb back up the draft boards after workouts.
  16. I look at our roster and honestly PF might be our weakest unit in my opinion. PG- Wall - Mack OG- Crawford Sf- Singleton-Vesely PF- Booker C-Nene- Seraphin Thats 8 that will return. Vesely is defintely a Sf in my eyes he plays good perimeter defense and lacks strenght to play big minutes at PF. Likely to return OG- Mason OG- Evans? OG- Martin? Up in the air Rashard Blatche We don't have a true PF on our roster at all even Booker is a tweener. I would seriously trade down unless they love TRob. I personally like Sullinger/Barnes/Lamb/Rivers/Waiters+ another player/or pick then either Beal,MKG or TRob. I'd love a team like GS to wanna move up and be willing to give up Klay Thompson+#7 for #3. This draft has 2 players with superstar franchise player upside Davis and Drummond. The rest are role players on a good team i'm sure a few of them will be very good but its a crapshoot. I love MKG but he is a horrible horrible fit with our current roster.
  17. For Harden yes. Batum no way is'nt he unrestricted fa anyway if he is a Rfa i could live with a #2 pick for Batum +there pick. Batum is a good player but nothing special. I could see NO trading Gordon for a high pick instead of maxing him out. But not sure i would give up a high pick plus capspace to max him out.
  18. Drummond has a huge upside no doubt more so then even Davis because he can be physically dominant.I just don't like his motor at times he seems to just go thru the motions but when he hustles he is dominant. It don't matter who gets #2 pick I believe he will go there even if its a trade down. The first 4 picks are locks in my opinion to be Davis, Drummond, MKG, Robinson. I could see Barnes or Beal going #5 but there will be a high riser from somewhere like normal. Ted is being a cheap you know what and don't wanna pay Randy and a new coach. We will hire a new coach after next season instead of getting him now. Wittman is a lousy x and o coach this team needs to be pick&roll heavy with lots of high ball screens for Wall.
  19. I dunno why he will beat most heavyweights but I doubt he beats Cain or JDS ever at this point.
  20. Hollis has a very good shot with range with proto-typical SF size. At Georgetown its hard to really shine unless your a complete shot jacker or your a high post bigman the offense is so slow and methodical. I really wanted him to come back for his senior season. Sims turned into a good player as well and is a hellva passer for a bigman.
  21. Just some random thoughts.. Beal is being overrated at this point no chance he goes top 3. I'm willing to sig bet. Lamb has become underrated at this point because of UConns poor season. He faced constant doubles and traps and still shot a good fg% for a 2 guard. He basically had to turn into a gunner for them to have any chance. Without him last season UConn does'nt win that national championship. Somebody will get a very good player outside the top 5. Waiters is a good player but honestly I like Beal,Lamb and Rivers alot more. Doron Lamb from Kentucky is gonna make a team very happy as well late 1st. This kid can flatout stroke the ball and is gonna add to a playoff contender. TRob is the biggest risk in this draft for me and honestly I like Sully better. No playing time until now and don't give me the bigtime program BS about waiting your turn. Freshman make bigtime impacts all day like Sully and many others. The kid did'nt play any of his 1st 2 years and turns the ball over at a huge clip for a PF even in previous seasons in limited minutes. He struggles againest lenght. What does TRob do that is so much better then Sully? I will tell you nothing, but run faster and jump higher. Sully is a better shooter, better post player, better postional post defender. Both struggle with lenght but Sully is so much craftier and polished offensively. Both rebound the ball. Drummond will go #2 overall because teams love size and athletism especially being only 18. Barnes is gonna be a solid starter for somebody. He won't be a superstar but he will be a solid pro for a long time. He is a good defender, can finish on the break and shoots very well when setup. He is actually a decent fit for JWall and this team needs wings that can hit spotup shots and spread the floor. MKG- I love his work ethic and desire. He is my #2 prospect by a mile but i'm not sure he will ever be a alpha dog either he will be a very good starter for somebody. I'm just not sure he is the best fit for this team his outside shot is absolutely horrible. We have way to many guys that can't shoot we have to add shooters. I'm looking to trade the pick either down or for a great fit on a cheap contract. I would entertain a Nene+pick package for Howard but we would still need shooters bad.
  22. I think the new coach is either SVG or one of the coaches still coaching like Budenholzer or even Shaw who I don't want especially if he comes with the triangle. If it was Sloan,McMillian,Joerger or even Whittman they would have announced it already. I personally love Sloans discipline offensive sets but don't believe he is the guy.
  23. X2 Whitman is not a good coach period. What was his record with the Wiz? What was his record before the Wiz? He may be a nice guy the players like but this team needs a hardass to install discipline sets on offense and defense. Even if SVG got fired after 3-4 years he would get this group playing the right way and would have organized sets instead of the BS we run now. I would'nt mind Budenholzer either Pops right hand man.
  24. If they wanted D'Antoni they would have already acted on it. I also think if Whittman was the man it would have been annouced already. SVG is to good to be true for this group as far as structure offensively and defensively. I think if its not SVG then its gotta be a asst coach on a playoff team like the Spurs. Even if we got #2 pick i'd trade back for the right package especially both of Portlands lottery picks or 1 of them plus a sign and trade for Batum. There just is'nt a huge difference in talent after Davis. Just skimming thru the thread I got a sig bet with anybody that Beal does'nt go top 3.
