Great article about Sanders and how we have Trump

Clinton won the primary vote overwhelmingly. She didn't need the superdelegates. Sanders ran as a Democrat, wanted to change the rules after he entered the primary race.

If he really wanted to change the primary system, he should have worked within the party.

He signed up for the rules, then bashed them and the party apparatus when he was losing.

If the Republicans had a superdelegates system, we probably wouldn't have Trump.

Pretty much.

Bernie basically won the caucus states.

He got his butt kicked (for the most part) in any state that had a primary.

Of course you do, and the Dems want to use the popular vote

I couldn't stand Bernie from the jump.  A socialist curmudgeon spouting unrealistic solutions (this is coming from a solid lib).  He's one of those people, like Trump, who is great at identifying problems (which is easy), but has no ability or plan to realistically solve those problems (which is the hard part).  He really lost me when he was asked about breaking up the big banks and he said he hadn't looked into how such a thing might actually be done.  This is a guy that was basically a one-issue candidate, but couldn't articulate a solution ON HIS ONE ISSUE.

People say HRC was a terrible candidate, but probably would be good at actually being President.  I think this is true.  I think this is because identifying issues and using that to stoke a crowd is really effective, but solutions to societies problems are REALLY complex and most people just won't listen to complexity.  They need everything boiled down to a sound bite or a bumper sticker.  Which is depressing and why we get stuck with dummies in the WH.

I was even more alienated by the Bernie Bro phenomenon.  Almost as bad as Trump supporters.

Pretty much this, Bernie isn't really a democrat. Most of the people that like him are people interested in a 3rd party and/or wouldn't have voted for Trump or Clinton. Him not supporting Hillary or making her look bad has not much to do with it, she has done that all on her own for decades. When she lost to Obama, the democrats should have seen the writing on the wall. Hillary didn't deserve to break the ceiling, when we do have our first woman president it will hopefully be someone that has earned it. Not someone that thinks it's their turn or is the best of a terrible bunch.

That should've been a sign to the idiot Dems.  In 2008, she couldn't beat a young Democratic Senator; who really only had 2-3 years experience when he starting running for President.  If the Dems decide to go with Obama then, why would they go with her in 2016.  You notice that the last 2 times the Democrats won, their candidate was young. Their GOP opponent was old and tired.   2016 -  An old and tired Hillary vs an old loudmouth Donald.

The GOP, as it currently stands; has no future.  The have the peak of their power now and Americans are slowly seeing that the GOP really isn't for the people.  It won't happen fast enough, but by 2028; the GOP will be nothing but a shell of what it once was.

Actually, if Trump is successful is remaking the party in his image; then the old GOP will no longer exist.

Only one direction for the GOP and that's down. Down. Down. Down.

What makes you believe any of this will happen?

Honestly, you've been saying this for years.  It's simply not happening.
