With Big Al back we've got the pass rush to get in Brees' face. You knock a QB on his ass hard a few times and they get less effective. Get his head on a swivel and we've got a chance.

I'll make this prediction. If the Skins get a defensive TD, they'll win the game. Of course, that hasn't happened in like two years now....

A loss on Sunday guarantees Zorn will finish his Redskins coaching career as a loser.

Kind of fitting for Gregg Williams to tattoo the maroon and black L on Zorn's forehead.

Yep. Makes you wonder how things would have shaken out with GW as head coach. Probably not much different with DS and VC running the show... but still is interesting to ponder.

Skins win, 38-21

dude...in what fantasy dream world do the Redskins score 38 points?

you do realize this is a team that hasn't scored 4 tds (let alone 5) in a game since December 2007 right?

the last time the redskins scored 38 or more points was in October 2005....what, pray tell, has happened in the intervening 4 years to make you believe they have a snowball's chance in hell of performing such a feat?

You know as I watched the Saints tear the Pats a new one tonight, I thought maybe we'll be the trap game for them. Maybe they'll slip up against us and we shock the world.

Then I thought about Gregg Williams. This game is personal for him. He won't let his D be not prepared. They are going to destroy us. It will probably be 35-0 at halftime. Second half their offense will let up a little, but the defense will hold strong. Final score 49-0 Saints.

i can already see C-los and smoot getting burnt

That shouldn't be hard. Just watch last weeks highlights.

BTW, I thnik this game could go 2 ways. If the Saints are focused & continue to play the way they have all season, they will CRUSH us. The beating we took at the hands of the Pats a few years ago won't look as bad as this game.

However, this could also be a trap game for the Saints & they could very easily be looking past us to the Falcons who are the last real struggle they will probably have this year. After them is the Cowgirls & Carolina. I truly believe that until the playoffs, last night was their last REAL challenge of the regular season.

What I believe is that the Saints are going to march in here, tear our heads off, piss down our necks, & feed us to the dogs. It's gonna be a slaughter. I just don't see any reason to believe that they will lose focus. They are a team that is on a rampage & have one thought in mind. Win it all.

The flaw to that theory is Gregg Williams.

Do you not think he knows Campbell and his offensive personnel?

Believe me, I'd love to think that the Skins could rise up and beat one of the best teams in the league but at no point during this season have they shown that type of ability.

That doesn't matter, the point I am making is that a top ranked Chess Player would be expected to at least give a challenge to whoever is #1. An unranked, nobody, who isn't even considered in the top of players is the player the #1 player would fear the most because that player is not as well known.

Say all you ant about Gregg Williams knowing this offensive personnel, it doesn't matter, this is not the same team it was when he left.

I honestly don't think it matters. Look how they manhandled the Pats last night. He never coached for them & had their number. GW has a personal vendetta to settle. I seriously doubt he gives a rats ass how different the play-calling is. If he is smart, & I believe that he is, he will throw old playbooks out & use what is in front of him. An offense that can barely move the ball on good defensive schemes. This could be a trap game, but I don't think it will be, just because of him.

he knows JC but he has no clue on our 3rd and 4th string lineman that are playing or any of the offensive coaches. So no...I dont think he knows JC's offensive personnel.

If im not mistaking only Offensive coach he knows is Bugel

Philly put up 27 against us....I would like to think the saints are in a whole different league than the eagles. They put up 5TD's against new england on 18 completions, something that has never been done to belichick.

Were screwed

with 4 field goals and 2 of wich were the results of two INT. Phillies pass D is ranked 9th while the saints are 18th. Saints are better at INT being they have like 22 or something like that.

However the Philies RUSH defense is 8th in the league and the Saints are 20th. We almost got a 100 yards rushing against Philly so if the game plan is to run against the saints we have a chance even with our OL as long as our D doesn't choke in the 4th again

The only thing about this game is that our rush D sucks this year and they saints are the 5th best rushing team in the league....thats the part that scares me...not the passing

hope all that made sense lol....im about into my 20th hour without sleep....kids sick

The Saints are such a fun team to watch

I hope we one day can reach this level again. I am really enjoying this ass kicking of the Pats

Isn't that the truth?

I watched that game last night and was thinking the exact same thing.

Entertainment as opposed to agony.

Given the state of this team (personnel, injuries, coaching, general execution issues), the dominance that N.O. has demonstrated in all 3 areas of the game, plus GW having a big ol' ax to grind, I think it's gonna be a LONG day for the Skins on Sunday.

Greg Williams is going to unleash fury on this offense. You don't think he has something to prove.

Thats exactly whats going to happen, JC will eat dirt 5-7 times this game. As far as stopping Brees and their offense, they will expose our defense as they do everyones.

I will repeat what I said in the game thread.

WE ARE NOT GETTING DESTROYED!!!

Our D held them last year to 24 points and that was with our 7th ranked D against the pass and this year we are #1 against the pass. Pats are 6th this year against the pass by the way.

we are #1 against the pass because WE PLAYED A BUNCH A HORRIBLE TEAMS THE FIRST 7 GAMES!!!! What do you think our rank would be if we had the pats schedule?????

We shall see how horrible we truly are against the pass. If we win... are the Saints going to be horrible as well? That seems to be the trend with the teams we beat.

Im with him. And I'm being serious too. This is the same 2006 Saints team that when others said we didn't have a snowball chance in hell to win, went down there and beat them in the dome. Last year, same team minus Colston, and came out on top. But that is what I think.

Also joe, I don't think we are going to get destroyed.

I think we can have some success running the ball. New England did a good job of that.

But Brees will light our secondary up. We don't have the right personnel to cover their WRs and Shockey. Brees will put up atleast 3 passing TDs.

And I'm sure G-dubb had this date circled on his calender. It won't be anything personal against JC, but G-dubb is going to bring the heat and make Danny Boy wish he never got rid of him.

The Saints play well at home and it was Monday night last night on national TV. I believe they wanted to prove something last night in front of everybody. We need to play off that home field advantage this weekend and just knock them in the mouth. The Saints have been close to losing twice this year by the Miami and St. Louis on the road. I believe our defense will hold up and if we keep in close then the offense will feed off the home field noise and win this in the end. Redskins win 31-28.

The Saints are going to make the mistake of overlooking us, like they did the Rams, and its going to be a close game. If our offense keeps upping their game like they have the past few weeks, and our defense gets their act back together, I wouldn't be surprised if we pulled an upset. We're certainly not the best team in the nfl, but I feel like a lot of teams have been underestimating us.

And their's a difference between being "realistic" and just plain negative and unsupportive.

Hail!
