REDSKINS TO HONOR ALUMNI THIS WEEKEND VS. COLTS;

RUSS GRIMM TO RECEIVE HALL OF FAME RING AT HALFTIME

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA - The Redskins will welcome back former greats including Larry Brown, Pat Fischer, Russ Grimm, Joe Jacoby and Doug Williams for the team's first annual Homecoming Game on Sunday, October 17 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Along with other alumni celebrations leading up to the game, Grimm will receive his Hall of Fame ring during an on-field ceremony with Joe Bugel and the “Hogs” during halftime. This will be Grimm’s first appearance at FedExField since being enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August. Prior to kickoff each of the former players and coaches in attendance will be introduced on the field. More than 50 alumni are confirmed to attend.

Parking lots will open early, at 2:00 p.m. ET. As with the season opener, four giant video boards will be spread throughout the stadium’s parking lots for tailgaters to watch the afternoon NFL games on the Red Zone channel. At 5:00 p.m. ET the Redskin’s Alumni will be joined by the marching band and cheerleaders for a homecoming parade around the stadium. Fans will also be able to enter the lower level of the stadium through the Bud Light Pavilion at 5:00 p.m. ET to watch the Red Zone channel on the new video boards. All other gates will open at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Last time we played a home night game against the Colts they named the 70 greatest Redskins. And we won. May be the alums can bring us some luck again.

That game featured Shane Matthews throwing TD passes to Darnarian McCants and Chris Doering, with James Tuthill kicking four FGs. :laugh
