afparent
ok, comcast sports finally gets to the redskins. Said he slipped in practice and reinjured knee. Status unknown. Went to go see a doctor, Coach says Lavar was excited and said Lavar slipped. That was it.

When there is absolutely no passing game, you'll be lucky to even muster 30 yards because the Opposing D will stack 8-9 in the box at all times. Im suprised Portis has around 600 yards for the season, the way our passing game is going, that is pretty good if you ask me.
QBkilla56
Ah crap, they said LA tripped on the grass and well, remember all the injuries when no one's touched. This is looking bad for all the LA fans.

afparent
that is it. We have to wait until he gets back from the doctor. I hope he didn't have to fly to Alabama again. Some reporter, probably the Post, will probably find out what happen first.
gbear
Didn't see it posted: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A62226-2004Oct25.html Arrington Re-Injures Knee; Hall, Barrow Still Sidelined By Joseph White Associated Press Monday, October 25, 2004; 6:41 PM LaVar Arrington strained his right knee in practice Monday, a setback for the three-time Pro Bowl linebacker hoping to play this week after missing four games. Arrington was hurt on a wet practice field as the Washington Redskins returned from a four-day, bye-weekend vacation. "I think he just kind of slipped on the grass out there," coach Joe Gibbs said. Arrington had surgery on the knee Sept. 23. He was optimistic that he could use the extra week of rest during the bye to return for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. Arrington took the field in full pads Monday, but his injury prompted yet another trip to see a doctor before practice ended. "I don't think it's much of a setback, but we'll see," Gibbs said. John Hall, who strained the groin in his kicking leg two weeks ago, did not practice. Ola Kimrin, who made two field goals and an extra point in the pre-bye victory at Chicago, remains on the roster until Hall is able to kick again. Gibbs said Hall is "day-to-day." Linebacker Mike Barrow also remained on the sidelines Monday, another discouraging sign. Barrow has been out since the beginning of training camp with tendinitis in his knee. The team has considered shutting down Barrow for the season to open a roster spot, and Gibbs hinted such a decision could be coming this week. "We've kind of got a timeframe of Wednesday," Gibbs said. "It's been discouraging, because we obviously want him out there." Meanwhile, the Redskins made a roster move in their ongoing effort to fill the void from right tackle Jon Jansen's season-ending knee injury. The team cut Kenyatta Jones, who started two games this season at right tackle but has been bothered by a sore ankle, and signed 10-year veteran Vaughn Parker. Jones' departure leaves 41-year-old Ray Brown as the starter, at least until Parker has had a chance to learn the offense. The other backups are rookies Mark Wilson and Jim Molinaro. Parker started 104 games at right and left tackle with the San Diego Chargers, but injured his knee in September last year and missed the last 13 games of the season. The Redskins also made a practice squad move, signing linebacker Brandon Barnes and releasing linebacker Billy Strother.

Chachie
Our defense missed Lavar BADLY in the Dallas and Cleveland games and if he can't go against a QB like Favre, we'll miss him even more. I don't care how good they are, not having Lavar's ability to pass-rush and make plays is hurting us. SO frustrating.
Rockville Redskin
Yea i was being optimistic that he'd return this week in pretty good shape but I guess not and now Lavar just great.

Chris 44
Didnt the original diagnosis have Lavar out 2 to 4 weeks? Wish they had said 2 months, at least we wouldnt have got our hopes up. Just gotta hope he can still go on Sunday, really need him for this one.
