Andre The Giant
I actually think Rasby, if his skill set hasn't declined, would be an excellent addition. We ran the ball very well in Marty's system with Rasby in the lineup, we just dropped him because he didn;t fit Spurrier's system. He's an excellent blocker. Jimbo
Rasby opened many a hole for Stephen Davis. Maybe we'll go for both Rasby and Kleinsasser. I see our sacks cut in half already.
Truant
Excellent blocker. A blue collar guy. We sign big ticket items and people complain. We sign blue collar guys and people still complain. He's a good blocker and cheap.

bulldog
I knew Gibbs wasn't going to spend $5 million signing a blocking TE Rasby is a lunch pail guy and at 6'3 and 256 is just what the doctor ordered in the run game
JoeSkins
I think the love affair with Kleinsasser is kind of funny. 3 mil a year for a guy who's specialty is blocking? Can't we find a blocker for minimum? I know Jimmy K. can catch, but for 3 million a year?
RedskinPride27
I liked Rasby, he always played hard and he is just what we need. And he comes cheap. Plus he doesnt have bad hands too if I recall. He caught a few passes in 2001.
kappaluvacee
If Joe signs Rasby it will be proff that he still has an eye for the blue-collar guy and that he is confident that his scheme can still dominate the NFL....
Luca Brasi
Excellent move. Rasby is an excellent run blocker. Portis is going to have a field day in this offense.
bnacpa
Some people seem to think that if we signed Rasby we wouldn't sign Jimmy K. I think we are going after both of them.
atloldskin
We need two TEs plus Royal IMO.
JoeSkins
Jimmy K. Thank you, thank you, I've started a trend. Either way, I guess we could go after both. There is still Breuner out there too. Blocking TEs last forever.
Sire
Rasby is a punishing blocker, I look for the Skins to sign another TE or draft one. If they trade #5 (I would like Taylor) they could maybe get 2 #1's and a #2 from NE. That could mean a DT, Ben Watson and another player that can contribute right away. Art
Rasby was said to be our best blocker with Marty here. He's a top quality run blocker as a tight end. That's about IT though . This may signal that we are not interested in Kleinsasser though. That would make me sad as I don't think Rasby has Kleinsasser's versatility as a player. They are similar though as blockers from the edge.
KirkNC
nice to hear Rasby is back. another type not mentioned that we could see is Krieder out of Pitt
Oldskool
If we have a crew of Royals, Sellers, Rasby and if Chamberlin ever gets his fat @ss in shape, we'd be set.

Rasby isn't as versatile as Kleinsasser, that's why I'm certain the Skins will sign another TE or if they trade down maybe draft one. I think Kleinsasser's price may be a little step as well. It will be nice to have a TE that can actually block though.
RF4L
Did spurrier cut rasby, or did he get signed away as a FA? I can't remember.
jimster
Rasby caught a few in the year he was with us before. I too would like to see if we could do something with Chamberlain and try to get that TE from Arkansas in the 5th round who's 330lbs and runs a 4.9 - I forgot his name. BD
With Rasby, Kleinsasser, and Royal, you've probably got the best blocking TE rotation in the league. BD
