  1. I seem to recall him playing pretty well versus the Eagles at Philly for the NFC East title, minus that dumb play before the half. First time though. He's managed to do something Bruce and this franchise couldn't do the past 10 years. Only took him two seasons with Minnesota.
  2. @ all the Kirk haters Came up big when it mattered
  3. Haha. You like that?
  4. Pretty sure Doc Walker just said on his show that Eric Schaffer is out.
  5. I think this is a good move. I have not been impressed with the pro personnel side of things.

    The Bruce Allen/GM Thread

It has almost been 8 full seasons since Bruce Allen has joined the team. I would agree that we are no longer the laughingstock we once were under Vinny Cerrato's leadership, but what has really changed? Vinny Cerrato, 9 seasons (2000, 2002-2009) Record: 62-82 (.431) 2 playoff seasons 0 division titles 4 last place finishes Bruce Allen, 7 seasons (2010-2016) Record: 45-66-1 (.405) 2 playoff seasons 2 division titles 4 last place finishes Time will tell how the remainder of this season will play out. The two years under Mccloughan produced back to back winning seasons for this franchise for the first time since 1997, and yet here we are. Bruce Allen, Doug Williams, and a Gruden running the organization. A similar structure to the one in Tampa Bay in the mid-2000s, which produced mixed results. The most troubling thing about the current arrangement is the lack of a General Manager. WP: Redskins won’t name new GM, as former QB Doug Williams ascends to Senior VP of Player Personnel Apparently, decisions regarding personnel are made by a collection of individuals in the Redskins front office and coaching staff, which is not a bad way of doing things. But the absence of a GM makes it hard to know who is responsible for what, and who should be held accountable for certain decisions, both good and bad. WHO has final say? Yes, there was a search this offseason to fill the position. We don't know all of the candidates that were considered, but quotes like the one below are discouraging for obvious reasons. CBSSports: Redskins mulled four execs for front office but are satisfied with current staff If Allen is honestly calling the shots and has final say on decisions, why not just accept the GM title and move on? There are a number of reports that he's involved in personnel decisions, deciding when to challenge plays (that extra timeout would have been nice during the final drive last week), etc. and yet his title is Team President. The structure of the front office seems to be as confusing and unclear as it was during the 2000s...

Select group of football people who don’t work for the team. It certainly sounds good, but I would be interested to know who. Example, Joe Theismann could be considered a football guy who doesn’t work for the team but I wouldn’t want him influencing the direction of the franchise.
  9. Exceeded expectations as a rookie. He has proven he can handle the responsibilities of a number one but hopefully the team doesn’t get complacent. Even with Sims and Harmon. With an elite number one on the other side he could be even more dangerous.
  10. Pulling for that Skins L.

Callahan continues to be conservative. Refusing to go for it on 4th downs. The team has nothing to lose. Might as well go for it. Seems like he’s just tying to keep the games close to make a case for the head coaching job next year.

If he is still employed by the team after this season, then Snyder deserves everything that is happening. The empty stadium, the losing. I have zero sympathy for him and this organization. But...but..he wants to win! What a low bar to set.

The { Possibly } Sweetest Game Of The Year

Tired of a random playoff berth every once in a while, which usually requires a late season hot streak. I want sustained success. Option 1 is more of the same. Who cares about the Cowboys? Garrett is going to get fired anyway.

!!!!0mgz!!!! Trent Williams finally showed up

Is he wrong? Why does a person with a record like that after 10 years continue to keep his job?
  16. Listen I'm not saying it was the worst thing. All I am saying is to claim it's a complete non issue is just not true. The coach even said he would address it with him. If it was a nonissue, there would be nothing to address.
  17. I thought it wasn't unprofessional because he was being happy? Now it doesn't matter because it was a kneel down?
  18. Being happy isn't unprofessional. Missing a play because you were busy taking a selfie with a fan and thought there was no time left in the game is though.
  19. I considered that. But I actually give him a pass on that. From what I remember that was a single picture, which can be misleading at times. I would have to see how that entire interaction went.
  20. The more I see of him on and off the field, on the sidelines, and on social media the less I like. We already have: 1) The Haskins-linemen incident 2) The selfie, causing him to miss a play 3) Peterson allegedly saying he needs to study the playbook more 4) "Fake news" deleted tweet 5) "Don't be a fan later" The league done messed up? Maybe it was the Redskins...

Great catch by Harmon. But am I wrong in thinking it was an inaccurate throw?
