He was falling forward when his knee touched the ground with no one touching him. It should have been called a TD. Falling forward is not giving yourself up. Play is ruled dead immediately. 🤓 https://www.google.com/amp/s/profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/08/04/nfl-rules-will-now-treat-head-first-dives-like-feet-first-slides/amp/

It doesn't matter how he chose to ruin that possible and necessary TD, because he was more focused on doing his lambo leap for himself. At least he got another chance!
NickyJ
People are still hung up on the Lambeau Lump? If you're a QB and you drag your knees on the ground, the play is over. Period. Nobody else in the NFL has had this hard a time understanding it. Edited August 17, 2022 by NickyJ 1

You don't get rid of a guy who's still pretty talented and on a rookie contract. At worst he's a backup who knows your system and has put up some big games in the NFL. Cutting Gibson would be lunacy. He might not deserve to be the focal point of the offense, but if he is viewed as the "weak link" of the skill players on the field, that means you have a pretty good set of skill players. Which I believe we do. Several guys with a lot of flexibility means we should be able to keep defenses on their toes. I'm very excited to watch this offense and some of the looks they create for players like AG / JD McK / CS / jahan, even how they utilize turner, how much receiving work b Rob gets. Should be fun to watch.
