Conn
Was just thinking the other day about how this thread was almost due...excellent. With our RB woes and the strength of this 2017 class, I imagine there's going to be a LOT of RB talk in here this year. Right now I've got: Cook (off-field stuff and injuries aside) Fournette Chubb (assuming health) Perine McCaffery (in a more specialized role) And then a clump of Freeman/Hurd/Hood/Gallman/Connor that I'm trying to figure out. Few more guys I can't remember right now in this group too, stupidly deep class. Excited to see if Scarbrough takes off the way he's capable of. RemoveSnyder
http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/college/acc/duke/article98144697.html Duke will have to play the 2016 season without quarterback Thomas Sirk. Sirk, a redshirt senior, aggravated the left Achilles tendon injury he suffered in February, a source close to Duke program confirmed Friday. Sirk’s rehabilitation had gone smoothy until this week, when he was scheduled to return to full team practices. With Sirk out, the Blue Devils could turn to Parker Boehme, a redshirt junior, as the No. 1 quarterback. Blue Devils coach David Cutcliffe also could decide to start Daniel Jones, a redshirt freshman. Jones, who played at Charlotte’s Latin High, has been taking a lot of snaps with the No. 1 offensive unit. Jones threw two touchdown passes in the Friday scrimmage and may be in position to be the starter in Duke’s Sept. 3 opener against N.C. Central. AlvinWaltonIsMyBoy
Sad to hear about Sirk, no matter what shade of blue he wears. He competes hard and I hate it for him. Cutcliffe just bagged a big QB recruit out of CA. Those Manning rings do shine bright.

He's here breakin' down film with Coach Cut. I've long held a prophecy that Peyton will be hired as the OC/QB coach and the 1st to the throne as Cut's successor. Always A Commander Never A Captain
I know I don't want to watch interior o-lineman. It's a bit boring and a bit frustrating, it's harder to tell who does what and if someone half assed something without all-22. I think I'll stick to some positions I feel like I have a better bead on for what McCloughan wants. WR, ILB, OT, and DT. Spots I'm a little unsure would be the rest of the defense. I think I know what he looks for in FS, SS, Outside CB, Nickel CB, and Edge. But this is more guessing. RB is a '?', pretty sure I know his ideals on OT's. We don't know much yet about TE. nemocystem
My season-long man-crush from last year was none other than our 2nd round pick, Su'a Cravens. Hoping to go 2 for 2....my season-long man-crush for the 2016 CFBS season is....:: drumroll::....Christian McCafferey. I know...big surprise. I think he fits what we do perfectly. Besides...Fournette, & Cook are likely gone right away...i think some teams may shy away from McCafferey because he's not a traditional thumper, per se. For everyone else...I'll check in here or there....just watching for what draws my attention.
