Burgold Posted July 5, 2016 Author Share Posted July 5, 2016 So, this Independence Day meant doing some carpentry and fixing up the stairs for my sister then fixing 2 bathroom faucets, and finishing reading a book. Plus, some good food, laughs and fireworks in the rain. Independence is the freedom to help out friends and family at need Independence is the freedom to learn and be exposed to new ideas Independence is celebrating with friends, family and strangers. BornaSkinsFan83 Posted July 5, 2016 Share Posted July 5, 2016 Well that sucked. Went to a spot in Columbia Heights (Cardoza High School) that has a perfect view of downtown. Great crowd. Lots of kids. Lots of neighborhood fireworks going off. Then the big show starts and...can't see anything. You could see them go up and you could see them get behind the clouds and then they would go off. Nothing. Very disappointing. But oh well. Next year. And I still enjoyed spending it when a bunch of different people from a bunch of different places all rocking American flag gear and celebrating America together. It's already great.
