Burgold
Great ambassador for basketball, really talented, and so charismatic. I remember him doing all sorts of guest spots on TV back in the 70's and 80's.
Bang
That's a shame. If you never saw him and his Globetrotters do their thing, you missed one of the best entertainers of the era. ~Bang
The 12th Commandment
They toured everywhere back then too, I saw them a few times as a kid here in NM. Meadowlark and Curly were the best. Anyone who can work Sweet Georgia Brown into their act has my approval. And then there was this Awesome. RIP Meadowlark
Kosher Ham
Had no idea that he was even that old. Sucks to lose such an amazing performer.
DM72
Remember The Harlem Globetrotters on ABC's Wide World of Sports on Saturday afternoon when Saturday's were special. RIP
Barney B
The things he could do with a basketball were astounding and confounding. he probably went weeks without missing a shot. So much fun to watch as a kid. A great quote from Meadowlark, worth remembering: "I want you to always remember that life’s most meaningless statistic is the half time score," Lemon said on his website, "and as far as I’m concerned it’s always half-time."
